Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

My Opinion On It Now: 100 donuts is a hefty price for a stand alone character, even if it is a two for 1 kind of deal. They do pay out at a better than premium rate (1,020 for 24hr task..vs 1,000 for regular premium), but it’s still a hefty price. The fact that they help with the event is a nice bonus..but I’d hold off on spending the donuts for these two just yet. They’ll be around for the whole event, and not necessary to complete it. So see if anything else strikes your fancy before picking these two up…

My Opinion On them Now: Another hefty price tag for a stand alone character. While she helps with the event, it comes at a steep price. My opinion on Ling remains the same as it did last year…if you like her and REALLY want her, grab her. Otherwise pass and save those donuts…

My Opinion On them Now: For a kid that was introduced in our games about a year and a half ago he sure makes a lot of recurring appearances in our stores. I feel like I’ve written about Gino a lot in recent months…honestly my opinion remains unchanged on him. If you like him grab him, otherwise pass. I’d tell you he’s limited time so make your decision carefully..but he always seems to reappear in our game. So if you pass it’s likely you’ll be able to get him again in a month..

My Opinion On them Now: Buy it. I know it’s only skins for two characters we use frequently, but if you’ve been missing the Christmassy aspect to this event Buy This. Two of my favorite skins for each..and Santa Homer can fly a sleigh across your Springfield. The price is a steal (considering it’s been offered for 200 donuts in the pass. Don’t let this offer pass you by…grab it if you can.

Thanks for the post, Alissa! I just picked up the Santa bundle and I already love it. Ned’s opening dialogue is hilarious! For those that appear to only have gotten the Homer skin, check your inventory for Ned’s (that’s where mine was)

Santa Village & Homer Santa Skin was available for me for 80 donuts with 40 back.
Hooray! I just checked my town, there was a small update and when I checked the store there was an offer to get Homer and the Santa Village (I already had Santa Flanders) for 80 donuts with 40 donuts in return on purchase!
Hmm… For some reason Santa Homer pay a freemium rate ($70 instead of $105 and so on), it is supposed to be like this?
I purchased Santa Homer & Santa Village 2 years ago & never did Santa Homer pay at a premium rate. What a waste of donuts. 😡😡😡😡😡
I have Patches and Poor Violet and honestly…I usually store them. Their jobs are so negative and depressing that I just quit using them. Reality sucks sometimes.
Hi Alissa, thanks for the post! I will definitely be picking up the Santa bundle. I believe you have a slight typo on Patches and Poor Violet, The payout is actually 1200, not 1020. I think this is not really a premium rate, but rather a double freemium rate (a single freemium character pays 600), whereas Sherri and Terri pay a double premium rate of 2000 (a single premium character pays 1000).
I’m really liking this event and looking forward to the upcoming items. I was, however dissapointed to learn that the craftable items do not offer a bonus percentage.

It really blows my mind that there are so few actual new characters available in this event. I mean come on, we get The Parson and that’s it? Yeah, I’ve seen the spoilers so I know what could be coming but there are sooo many characters from the golden era of Simpsons that we still haven’t seen yet.
I really hope they give us Don Brodka next year tied in with a traditional Christmas event.

I wish I could get the Santa bundle but I have Santa Ned already. I’d been saving up my donuts for this but none of the others interest me
I too have been closed out of that bundle for the same reason. Not. Happy.
I’m disappointed too. I’ve had Santa Flanders since he was originally free (X-Mas 2014?). So now I can’t buy Santa Homer? I wouldn’t even mind paying the same 80 donuts for just Santa Homer and Santa’s Village. They should give that as an option to people who have Santa Flanders.
I really want to buy the Santa Bundle, but I am hesitant because I don’t know what is being offered in the future… including stuff that may be on rebate. Is it an offer that REALLY SHOULD be taken? Do you have any insight into what might be seen in the future in the store? I’m simply an impatient person, to be frightfully honest…
There is no rebate likely. It is a good deal if you don’t have it, and like Santa-themed skins and decorations.
If you’re really interested you can google it. I know spoilers are usually restricted on here but the info is out there if you’d like to plan your donut spending.

Seems like a glitch…because those of us who have the Flanders skin, can’t buy the bundle. Did you place the village?

For anyone considering buying Gino, be aware that his building can only go on Squidport. I didn’t know that when I bought him and almost didn’t have enough room left on my Squidport to place that buildings without wrecking its design.

Wow early Christmas present, just got Santa homer with the village for 80 donuts and got 40 donuts rebate, Christmas has arrived in Springfield happy holidays, snow and homer flying about in his sleight hohoho

It wouldn’t have applied to you. The rebate ONLY applied to those who already had Santa Flanders but not Santa Homer. They were offered Santa Homer and the Village for 40 donuts (net). If you already got it that means you didn’t have either, so it would not have applied to you. Even if you logged in right now it would be offered to you at 80 donuts for Santa Homer, Flanders and the Village.

I recently wondered, and will soon discover, if Homer’s flying sled will cause the same ‘interference’ that Arnie Pye’s helicopter does.

This is my 3rd Christmas with The Simpsons and I am enjoying this one! I did purchase the Santa bundle this morning and I am glad I did. Flanders and Homer are currently on jobs so I haven’t seen them in their Santa suits yet but I am excited to! And the Santa’s Village makes a nice addition! Will have to do some remodeling when the event ends!

Just be warned Homer flying the sleigh is just as annoying as Arnie’s helicopter. However, him getting stuck in the chimney makes up for it.

It appears, at least in my game, if you have any of the Santa Bundle combo, you’re not offered any of it. I have Santa Flanders, but not the other two pieces and as far as I can tell, there are no options for them. Doh!
If I hadn’t gotten Patches and Poor Violet last year, I’d absolutely pay donuts for them now. They don’t earn as much as Sherri and Terri, but they’re such great characters!
Whenever a friends town loads it crashes and leaves the app meaning I can’t complete the finding a gnome in another town quest.
Also I haven’t started the crafting quest!

Likely a device issue…it’s a MASSIVE update (think about it, every item has to reload into the game covered in snow. That’s a lot of stuff to download). One that requires a lot of space AND a lot of memory. It’s likely your device can’t handle it. Have you tried loading Other Springfield?
You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling, sometimes that helps. But also make sure everything else is shutdown on your device prior to running TSTO…
