Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

My Opinion On It Now: 100 donuts is a hefty price for a stand alone character, even if it is a two for 1 kind of deal. They do pay out at a better than premium rate (1,020 for 24hr task..vs 1,000 for regular premium), but it’s still a hefty price. The fact that they help with the event is a nice bonus..but I’d hold off on spending the donuts for these two just yet. They’ll be around for the whole event, and not necessary to complete it. So see if anything else strikes your fancy before picking these two up…

My Opinion On them Now: Another hefty price tag for a stand alone character. While she helps with the event, it comes at a steep price. My opinion on Ling remains the same as it did last year…if you like her and REALLY want her, grab her. Otherwise pass and save those donuts…

My Opinion On them Now: For a kid that was introduced in our games about a year and a half ago he sure makes a lot of recurring appearances in our stores. I feel like I’ve written about Gino a lot in recent months…honestly my opinion remains unchanged on him. If you like him grab him, otherwise pass. I’d tell you he’s limited time so make your decision carefully..but he always seems to reappear in our game. So if you pass it’s likely you’ll be able to get him again in a month..

My Opinion On them Now: Buy it. I know it’s only skins for two characters we use frequently, but if you’ve been missing the Christmassy aspect to this event Buy This. Two of my favorite skins for each..and Santa Homer can fly a sleigh across your Springfield. The price is a steal (considering it’s been offered for 200 donuts in the pass. Don’t let this offer pass you by…grab it if you can.

Since I already had Santa Flanders, I got a 40 donut instant rebate, making the village and Homer just 40 donuts.
So, since none of Santa Homer’s jobs earn event currency, I guess I’ll be waiting to see him flying around in a sleigh until after this non-christmas-christmas event

I picked up the Santa bundle last night and.it looks great in my little Christmas area. But for some reason, I didn’t get Santa Ned, only Homer.
it should be in your inventory, you gotta click ‘use it’ or something, coz thats what i did, oh and the bundle is AWESOME

maybe I didn’t get the alert because Ned was still wearing his Halloween costume or something.

I got Patches and Poor Violet last year but even if I didn’t I would have gotten them right away, they just are too sweet! Pity the fire task image you see here is not one of their permanent tasks. I absolutely love these two!

So on a side note I noticed the cthulu tower is missing cthulu and when you click it he never pops up. I’m gueasing he was just to hard to put snow on. What if he never comes back?

1) Patric’s “I AGREE” post – I did it in ALL CAPS, just as he posted/ requested. OTOH, in terms of not TURNing on each other this SEASON – wasn’t it the “Animals” who sang there is a time for every SEASON, TURN, TURN, TURN

Reading this site sonce I found it years ago when I started to play tsto has enhanced my game play, brought me closer to my friends and family by having something to share (I read the posts and pass on the information ) and is something that I look forward to as much as and some days more than the game play.

I’m fairly new here to this site. I would like to say thank you for creating it and all the hard work that I’m sure goes into running something like this. I appreciate it very much. I found this site after returning to TSTO after about a year of not playing. It’s not that I didn’t want to play, just that real life had things happening that required my full attention and left no time for games. Having said that, after I decided I had some extra time again and could play once again I googled to see what I had missed and found this site. It was very informative and seemed to be just what I was looking for, so I joined. 🙂 I know there have been lots of people that were unhappy and down right angry about the new update. Now I don’t normally post to anything, I just generally keep to myself but decided I would. After reading about all the people attacking each other through the comments and evven attacking the people who created and take the time to run and upkeep the blog I just could not wrap my head around it. First of all it didn’t fix what made you upset did it? No. In my opinion all it did was hurt someone else, who most likely didn’t deserve to be hurt. Secondly I would like to remind everyone ( and I’m sure someone won’t like what I’m about to say and I’m sorry but) it’s just a game. That’s it. A game. If you woke up tomorrow and had a tragedy, or emergency in real life to deal with, whatever EA is doing would (hopefully) be the farthest thing from your mind. Your real life and loved ones would take precedent (again hopefully) over updates, new items and whatever else would be going on in a game.
Personally the update does not bother me one way or the other, because it’s a game. It does not effect the way I will celebrate the holidays in my real life, and by playing it does not indicate anything about me and my beliefs other then I enjoy playing the game. Yes I undertand some of you can not just let things go that easily, and that’s ok. To you I say, direct your complaints to the ones responsible for your displeasure, not other players who think or believe differently, or the creators and or moderators of this site, but to EA. Send them an email, heck send them a thousand. If you’re a donut buyer, stop buying them and tell them you are stopping and exactly why, talking directly to their wallet may grab their attention way more then you think it would. And if by chance your anger got the best of you and you may have said something to someone on here, that was wrong, or hateful or mean, ( yes I realize those comments were deleted), say you’re sorry. You don’t have to go into details, just simply log back on and post I’m sorry. Now that does not mean you’re sorry for your beliefs, or your religion or wanting what you want in a game, it simply means you’re sorry you made another living person feel bad. That does not make you a bad person, we’ve all at one time or another said something we have had to apologize for. So let’s all try to remember it’s not the chacters that we gert from EA that brings the joy and happiness of the season, or any other day to lives. It’s the real life chacters that should bring you that joy and happiness at the holidays and everyday. If anything I said upset or bothered anyone in anyway I’m sorry.

I’ve never understood why people feel so strongly about this; it actually seems pretty reasonable to me, since they were free the first time around.
I snagged Gino on Black Friday, felt it was a steal! Glad I did to, it had a nice donut rebate. I’m going to hold off on these characters and hope they make a reappearance with rebate!
All I want is more Christmas building decorations and flying reindeer I’ve been weight several years for them to come back.
I already had santa flanders, so i went and got the Santa’s village+ santa homer bundle for 40 donuts. This was basically a deal to buy Santa’s village for 40 donuts cuz i already had a few premium skins for homer. Still worth every donut. So happie. 🙂

I already have santa flander also….. but they have my santa village and santa homer only, for 80 donuts…… with a 40 donut rebate…. so for mine, i have to have at least 80 donuts to get it.
I just did the same, as I already had Flanders and had passed on Homer since the very beginning. Unfortunately, the stand-alone Santa Homer’s tasks do not pay out premium. Did this happen to you?
That’s the deal with Santa Homer, he’s never paid premium. Very annoying..

I’m so excited for the Santa Village! I started playing Christmas 2014 and last year i just couldn’t bring myself to spend 200 donuts for it. I grabbed it right away! I’m so happy!!!!! I goes perfect with my north pole monorail area! 😀

Got Santa Village right away & have Homer & the reindeer flying. Happy to be able to get this as was not playing the game when first released. I found your old information on the site before getting this & really helped me make mine mine right away. Thanks for all that you do.

There is only a rebate if you already have either Homer or Flanders Santa. But, I can tell you that even at 80 donuts, it is a great deal, as many, many, many paid 200 for Homer and the Santa’s Village. Best deal of the update so far…

They forgot to unlock the mountain with the new land. Some one sure messed up this year’s launch. I appreciate the scramble to correct things tho.

Snow glitch patched now!
Is anyone else having issues with the elf part of this update? He won’t come out of his box and run around. I can’t store him to try to restart it. Any ideas on what to do to make him come out?
He is supposed to come out every 3 hours. If he is not…you may need to reinstall.
I am having the same issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Tapped Out, and nothing changed.
All you can hope for is a patch. Sorry. We can’t do much from this side. This is typical of EA…it usually takes them a few days to get the bugs out of an update.
