EA has just released (well ok an hr or so ago at this point…sometimes real life gets in the way of tapping ;)) a new Teaser for TSTO.
It looks like our own Wookstradamus prognosticated correctly! It appears as if we’ll be getting an Around the World event in our games very soon! (as if the Chinese New Year theme didn’t already tip many of us off 😉 )
What are your thoughts on the event teaser? What would you like to see in this upcoming event? When do you think it will hit? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!
Hello everyone! I’m so piqued, thrilled, excited, keyed up etc. (forgive the redundant adjectives lol) about this upcoming event. Hope is multiple lands to visit, my Springfield not big enough to fit a world, with plenty souvenirs to bring back, if we get an airport to fly to everywhere, great, can’t wait to see what’s in store, Sunday would be a better day to kick start the event, Tuesdays a work day, around the work in80 Dohs
So excited! I love travel and I this will be great in adding to my world suitcase around my EFCOT ball!

I feel like I’ve been resting for several weeks. I can’t remember the last time I saw so much inactivity. Bring it on whatever it is! I don’t care just do it!

Couldn’t pay me to play FG. Used to be a big fan of the show when it first started, then it just got stupid, lazy and nasty. Brian eating the diaper was the last straw
I kind of agree, we do need a break between events. Fortunately, the Christmas event didn’t drag out, so I’m ready for an event. But breaks are good. A time to play “normally” rather than rushing and worrying we might not get that one last (often craptacular) item.

Need EA to make Linguo as a playable character in the game. They made Pinchy which is also one of my faves, but it wasn’t a playable character. (For those who don’t know, Linguo is Lisa’s super awesome grammar robot).

Awesome, they’re going around the world. But to where? I’ve been waiting to add some ethnic areas to my springfield. Can’t wait to see what and where
The next EA event should be a land event and just open ALL the land as a prize. The way these new objects seem to be getting pretty big if this is an around the world event its gonna fill almost all my land. SH is still somewhat open but that’s a work in progress. In my town all the events are in there own sections ie.. Christmas land is in the mountains there is open land there for future Christmas events. (Actually the last Christmas event was going there but it wasn’t Christmas like so it went to a place reserved for something like this event.
Airport would be nice. I already laid the foundations for one.
I just hope that they give some kind of new mechanic. I’m getting so tired of the exact same event every single time, just skinned differently. ): I miss the days when they tried to do at least kind of different things…
Hopefully they do a Stonecutters type questline when you were given a clue on who to send on what task! That was a great one, could work well with this one.

Bart vs Australia, Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo, Simpson Safari (Tanzania), Crepes of Wrath and others (France), Regina Monologues and others (UK), Saga of Carl Carlsson (Iceland), The Italian Bob. These are just the ones I can think of; so much Simpsons could be used for a round the world event. Exciting.
I go on holiday on Saturday so obviously it’ll land while I’m away. Curse you, EA! 😬

I remember that episode too, I think Lisa had to find the boy she was sponsoring who stopped writing to her, I think his name was Ronaldo.? Spoiler: they ended up finding him. 😃. 🐱🌸🌟
Just a thought that popped into my mind, I wonder if they might do this as a series of mini events (like the current China theame) sprinkled through the year rather than one big event? Would make a change from the usual pattern but I suspect it will be the usual 3 acts with the middle one tying into valentines somehow (Paris or somewhere else “romantic”?). Hope we get Springfield airport to start things going.
Would love an airport! There’s so many countries they have visited eg Australia, England, Alaska, Safari. Paris for valentines day sounds great! They have been to France many times so there’s so much content to add. Click the plane to fly to a country of your choice would be cool, maybe more ocean and some desert for some countries. 🙂
I think a bunch of mini events is the most likely route for them to take to cover all the countries we’ve seen on the show. Either that or a ridiculous number of “acts” or “trips” in one long event. I don’t think that would be the best choice, due to the burnout from a single big event lasting long enough to cover all the material. But a string of mini events will be perceived differently; as nice little bite-size chunks.
You could be correct but personally I think it will be one major update / event.
Looking forward to it, I feel they will make up for the last holiday event which seemed to upset so many tappers.
Pffff… Ha ha… good one. Paris and romantism are like water and oil. My bet is on Italy, this is what I call a romantic (may I even say… RomeNAntique) country. We could get Bob’s italian family this way… Maybe even Milhouse’s grandma, I would love to see her and a task to call Milhouse an “Idiotta” in our games… Sorry for the “pun”.
Bob’s Italian family has been introduced alrEAdy. The last time I missed out on Bob’s Italian wife due to lack of sprinkles, so a reintroduction would be nice.

If this is the direction, hipefully they givr us lits of stuff from Bart vs. Australis. Our streets get overrun with chazwozzers, there could be a knifey-spooney mini game and Andy the Prime Minister could walk around town with a giant boot.
But, I read that the files tell us the Lunat New Year storyline is continuing. Would they do two events concurrently?
They have done mini events during major ones before.
Well were being able to build our own Great Wall with the Chinese New Year Mini-Event so I don’t think we’ll see anything Chinese in the upcoming Around The World Event. Perhap’s well start off with Egypt and we’ll all get a Sphinx to watch over our Springfield. Oo.

I’m thinking it will hit next Tuesday. They’ve crammed us with clues and Facebook teasers like the one above normally tell us something is hitting within a week so Tuesday seems perfect being the usual major event release day and it being the last day of the Lunar New Year stuff.
