Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
So this morning saw a few things happen in our Springfield’s….
First, you may have noticed a few limited-time changes with our Monorails. Second, there’s a new Magic Monorail Station in our stores. Third, a bunch of mini-events you may have missed have relaunched and you have a chance to start them. And fourth, it looks like we may have a little Halloween Teaser.
What do I mean? How does it work? Let’s take a look….
Let’s work in a mixed around order….starting with the return of mini events.
For those that are newer to TSTO and have asked for stuff to come back, now it has! Yes, they may stack up with each other. And yes, you may have multiple things to work through at once. Unfortunately, that’s the breaks of missing it the first time. EA brought the mini events back, but you’ll have to work through multiples at a time. And it’s just because it’s all returning content. They wouldn’t just bring back mini events without some level of new content for those who played through them all. Otherwise, those players that already finished those events wouldn’t play…make sense?
Some of you may be missing some of the mini events, or don’t have any trigger. Personally, in one of my games (lower level), I didn’t have any trigger this time around. But in another lower level game, I had 2 events trigger (Homer the Heretic and Pin Pals). I think the failure to trigger is a result of if the mini event was at all launched in that game at one point or another.
For example: in my first lower level game (where nothing triggered), I had at one point or another started all of the mini events. While I didn’t complete them, I did start them. And I think that’s why they didn’t trigger for me.
In my other lower level game (where Homer the Heretic and Pin Pals triggered), I triggered some mini events but not others. Never completed them, but triggered a few.
So I think that’s what’s causing some to trigger and some not to trigger. Of course, this is my speculation and I couldn’t be totally wrong.

Now let’s jump to the Monorail itself….
It looks like between now and Monday you’ll be able to earn double Blueprints when completing the Rail Yard. This is a good chance to earn some more track and bonuts!
Now onto the Magic Station and some returning content in our stores…
For 80 donuts you can pick up the Magic Station, another Monorail station for Springfield.
I will have a SIB post for this up later today breaking it 100% down like we always do, but for now know that while I think this may come into play for Halloween I don’t think it’s critical for Halloween. You’ll survive just fine without it if you don’t need another Monorail Station. EA wouldn’t release something critical for the next event as a premium item…keep that in mind.
There are also a TON of returning premium items in our stores from the past Monorail Event. I’ll do my traditional SIB Returning stuff breakdown as well. But you can find SIB posts on just about every returning item on this site by using the search box on this page.
And finally…a Halloween Teaser. This popup box…
Preceded by the dialogue from the episode tie-in talking about Angelica Button makes me think (as well as some of you I’m sure) we’ll see a Magic-themed Halloween Event this year. (Sam, try not to pass out…)
So we shall see what happens next week…

FWIW, fairly new player here starting in August and on level 41, so not started any of the listed classic quests before. Waited for all characters I have to go idle except Ralph and Lenny (still on looong tasks), but none of the classic quests have triggered for me, nor has the weekly railyard restarted (already completed once since Tuesday).
I wonder if you have to have been playing a certain time/to a certain level? Or maybe it’s randomly triggered for just some of us.
If we get a Harry Potter themed event for Halloween I think I’M gonna be the one to pass out! HP is my thing! 💫✨⭐️

Hmm mm …. testing out the possibilities before jumping on the magic station. It definitely can work, but I’d have to take the track through the Spooky Forest area and I’m not sure I like ruining it’s vibe. Unless … hmm mm …
I’ve done all the mini events in the past so none of them triggered (obviously), but I was hoping I’d get the opportunity to buy the Space Coyote since I didn’t buy him during Homer’s Chiliad. He’s not in my store, so I guess not. Is it offering him to people who get to start Homer’s Chiliad today?
Also, I finished my Monorail on Tuesday evening and it’s not restarting for me either, even though I got the notice about double blueprints.
I got the double blueprint notice as well, but not the ability to restart.
Sorry to tell you this, but the Chiliad showed up in my game today (I wasn’t playing back then), and I was able to get Space Coyote for 120 net (180-60 rebate).
That’s a bummer. I’ve been playing since shortly before Whacking Day and I have almost all the characters, but am missing a few event ones that I didn’t get during their events. Was really hoping to get the Space Coyote.
That’s strange. The old price (2016) with building was 120… why should EA increase the price right now for giving a rebate afterwards to end up with exactly the same price of last year?
I’m a relatively new player (started just before TTT, too late for Pin Pals). What mini events are possible to trigger? Deep Space, Chiliad, Heretic, Pin Pals… anything else? Has anyone had multiple events going simultaneously (Alissa, did Heretic and Pin Pals run together or in succession?)?

Deep Space came with County Fair, and all the others will trigger from today. (For example, if Heretic popped up, you have to complete it in order to see Pin Pals). For which are returning, Space, Chilliad, Crook and Ladder, Heretic, Academy, and Pin Pals. Not sure if others are returning, I’ve only seen these pop up for me or others. Hope this helps! 😊

I had this pop-up a few months ago… also slightly confused.
I had the Homer the Heretic mini event pop up for me. It started on part 6. I had finished most of it originally, so I guess it popped up where I left off.
I saw a popup yesterday saying that Sebastian Cobb has moved into the Railyard. But I could not find anything for him to do (i.e. gathering metal, plastic or glass). I thought it was kind of weird. I should have taken a screenshot of the message, but I figured I’d find the information here. Has anyone else seen this popup?
This happens always when you accidentally click blueprint board (that had originally function of the Railyard, before you built the Railyard). I do not think it was any system message.
Sebastian is involved with creating the rail yard, but not once it’s been restored. That pop-up indicates transition to the permanent tasks.
I finished my monorail donuts earlier in the week, and can now earn extra bonus. Which mini games restarted? All mine are working as usual with the same prizes. No pin pal restart… And I’m not a new player.
YAAAAAAAAAAS! Got the Magical Monorail right away! I’m gonna drop so much cash on a Magical event!

The Season 29 premiere looks like a Game of Thrones parody. The Magic Monorail definitely hints at Angelica Button stuff, as does the All-Smelling Tower. Treestache is a riff on LOTR’s Treebeard. So there’s definitely a fantasy theme going on right now. But the fact that this stuff is disappearing from the store in a couple of days suggests that it’s not related to THOH. But what do I know? All of October could be about Lord Evilton.
I think the Magic Monorail station is related to the upcoming TSTO Halloween event. The All-smelling Tower and Treestache is probably only related to the next Tree house of Horrors episode for the show. I don’t think the two are related.
Not to mention but this Sunday on fxx , is a mash up of all fantasy centric simpson episodes. Yeah!! Magic magic everywhere. I love when all my simpson content aligns ! 😁
I bought the monorail station and I do not know why I did so. I have no way of tying it into my original monorail network unless they give us more SH land.
I got it without thinking and I’ve spent way too much time trying to fit it in..
I have finished the weekly monorail tracks (16 pieces of track and 5 bonuts) circus, so I should be ready, but to my surprise, I can do it again.
It would have been nice if they offered the blueprint rewards before the weeks monorail jobs began. I finished mine before this popped up.
I was able to start it again!
Was going to give Halloween a miss and save for Christmas but think ea have took notice and think something good is going to happen, can’t wait😁
In one of my games I earned the 5 donuts before the change and I can’t go any further. In my other games I earned the 5 donuts after the change and started a new round.
It’s great to see newer players gain access to some really good content. I remember feeling a bit left out, or lacking, when I first started out…three years ago.
It cost me donuts to catch up but those are the breaks.
The Magic Station is definitely a reference to Platform 9 3/4 from Harry Potter if it really is going to be some sort of Angelica Button magic-themed event.
After purchasing it, yeah, it’s a reference without question. Lisa directly calls it British-looking and refers to it reminding her of YA literature, of which Harry Potter is, and there is a small suitcase on the platform that visibly moves as if something is inside of it, something recurring in the Harry Potter franchise.
DVR alert! FXX is airing “The Haw-Hawed Couple” where Homer reads Angelica Button to Lisa for the first time this Sunday, October 1, at 3:30pm. Another of the several episodes that featured Angelica Button called “The Book Job” airs at 6pm.
Sadly not on Fox Europe 😭

Just a heads up for anyone getting the rebated Krusty monorail station. It does not come with any of the other parts like stairs etc. and they aren’t offered in the store either.

I’ve completed most mini events but it is AMAZING that I can finally add Space Coyote to my town. For me, I had Deep Space Homer atleast a week ago, and Homer’s Chilliad just triggered. As for the Magical theme for Halloween, I just hope they don’t ruin it like they did Christmas. I’m going all out and buying every playable character this time when I top up my donuts, love Halloween! 😀

Did not get the monorail restart.. finished it on Tuesday and nothing restarted this morning. However my wife’s monorail restarted after she finished her’s yesterday.
No mini event restarts either.
Did you try playing yesterday? The glitch that allowed reset of monorail only seems to have worked after the update hit yesterday afternoon (eastern time), and stopped working with the release of the new items at 4am eastern this morning.
I had finished the monorail on Tuesday and finished filling up Wednesday early morning. So I was’t able to play anything and that was before the update.
Not a big deal really. Would have been nice to get another 5 donuts.
I’m on my third round. Long may it continue.
Mee, too! Although I admit to having mixed feelings….it’s a lot of work for very few donuts compared to what I earn farming, but I can’t seem to bring myself to stop, so long as there’s rail yard work to be done. (But, since there’s nothing else much going on in the game right now, at least it gives me something to do until the next event starts.)

This is SOOOO exciting! I really don’t see how this Halloween COULDN’T be something magical with all this going on. As well as Angelica Button and all I hope we see some true THOH stuff as well – Bart using Magic to bring dead people, ads etc would be a good use of the magic theme 😁. So excited!!

I got Deep Space when we got the County Fair, Homer’s Chilliad only just triggered today. I didn’t complete Crook and Ladder and that was before Chilliad, I think, so unless they’re coming in a certain order? I really don’t know.
TSTO mods, thanks for your hard work. I hope none of you feel obligated to always inform everyone and tell everyone what to buy/do immediately. I hope you enjoy writing content as much as we enjoy reading it. Excited to always read your perspectives.
