Well there’s still snow in Springfield BUT the Christmas event has been officially removed from our games. An in-game update hit our pocket-sized towns a short while ago, which officially pulled the event from your town. No extra time this time around…
While no big changes to the game…nope no event just yet…there are a few “improvements” related to the Christmas Event that are live now.
So yes, you can change the look of the Christmas Spaceship to Destroyed or normal…
And yes, you can send the characters to battle each other. You’ll have to select the character and pick on their 4hr task, however. There’s no master list to select from. And you can only have 4 B.S.ers & 2 Aliens battling visually..but you can send as many as you want.

HOWEVER…..there is a mini-event primed and ready to go in the files. It looks like it’ll be hitting Springfield TOMORROW. (January 3rd) So be ready tomorrow for the next thing in Springfield!

I am having issues with my game it continues to sign me up and download 585 updates but nothing happens. I am constantly be logged out of ea then you have to wait for this so called update. Help
I’ve had that a few times. It seems to happen when I have a few too many apps on my iPad. I then need to offload some of them to free up some storage space. I had it so bad, that at one point my entire game kept on reloading. Fortunately the game stores on iCloud and I could retrieve all of it again, although it took half to download again, because it is so big. Just try to make sure you always have a bit of extra storage space available. Enjoy gaming, and I’ve enjoyed the Christmas event
I am LOVING the fact that EA kept the snow in the game! It was always jarring to me when the Christmas update was removed and everything was green in my game again. Now it feels right. If there’s snow outside at my house, I want there to be snow in my tsto town as well. I really enjoyed the Christmas event, finished up the quest line last Friday, no issues. And now the snow is still there, it makes me so happy! I’m eagerly looking forward to whatever the mini event may bring. ☃️
I thoroughly enjoyed this event, all aspects of it, and I want to thank EA for doing away with the 4 hour grind. What a relief that was! I hope it never comes back! And thank you Alissa, Safi, Patric and Wookie for all your help and info on this site. It wouldn’t be the same without you guys! Happy New Year!
I hope they let us keep the snow in our towns until the end of winter. This is something I’ve wanted for a few years. I’m glad the Christmas event is over, but I have to say that I thought the length of the event was perfect!

I really enjoyed this event and am glad I didn’t quit playing after last one! (Had to have EA reset my game due to major glitches and lost a lot of characters, etc…they gifted me 70 donuts, which was nice, but I spent wayyy more than that and 70 wouldn’t allow me to buy back anything I lost. I was very frustrated but I love this game. I’m just leary of sinking real money into it anymore after this fiasco but I will continue to play.)

I noticed there’s a new Character group in the game called “The Buck Stops Here”. I guess it’s for the new event tomorrow.

First tap on the Store icon (bottom right), and then tap on the Homer icon (bottom left). 🙂
Tap the Hammer&Saw button of the bottom right, then tap the Golden Homer button on the bottom right.
Shame it was forced to end. I was a few robots away from another free land token.
I was awake last night as the timer was going down to 3 min when I realized I needed 22 wallpapers to get my last land token. So I bought 25 wallpapers for 20 donuts, which I have never done before. Thinking it was approximately $3M, and with that money, a 5x XP multiplier, I could recuperate the donuts. I regretted the decision immediately when I woke up to find I could harvest robots and didn’t need to.
I have only been playing less than 2 years and I thought this event was the best !! There was enough to do without getting overwhelmed.Having to complete only 2 acts was perfect,as I usually start to get “event fatigue” in the middle of act 3.

I had one more prize to get from the Re-Gifting Machine which was another 5 ice tiles in the second round but at least I got all the better prizes (free land tokens, Christmas hills, north pole cabins and stables. It might be worth mentioning that the Re-Gifting Machine and the Carpentry Shop now generate cash and xp along with the spaceship. Can you still play the mini game with tapping the funzos before they get to the Simpsons House?
I also want to add that there is another character in the Kids character collection next to Janey so it looks like 4 characters with this update, I hope only 2 of them are premium while the other 2 are prizes. Another 2 questions, after the update did EA add any bonus percentages to the premium decorations from the Christmas event and add any permanent jobs at the buildings without any jobs from the same event? I also am glad that EA kept the B.S. Battle animations from the event because I unlocked Jack Frost after I had finished the Battles so it would be nice to see what it looks like. 😀

Oh no… I’m KEM farming and just sold them all off, but my kwik e mart prices are stuck very high as if I still had a ton of them. Did EA don’t something to counter KEM farming??
You sure none are in your inventory?
Selling all the KEMs you have I your inventory will solve the problem.
(Every KEM farmer has done storing KEMs instead of selling thematic some point)
Is anyone else having glitches since the event has ended? The bottom 8 tile spaces will not accept water to be placed. In my town they were removed on the entire bottom row and it will not let me put water there. All other road type materials can be placed there but not water. I deleted the game and tried a few things. Any suggestions?

Was putting away all my Christmas stuff and was told “Sorry hoarder, can’t store this” when I tried to store Krusty’s Kristmas on Ice. Seems odd, anybody else tried to store it?

This was a good Xmas event. Got all of the things I wanted. With all the cold and bad weather it was nice to have this to spend time on. Ready for the new events. The snow time is always good. Keep that finger tapping all. Happy New Year.
I seem to be down 2 or 3 playable characters, though I don’t know which ones are gone.
Have this happened to anyone else ???
False alarm; I believe what happened was that the update changed the tasks for 3 of my characters from 4 hours to 8. Now everyone is accounted for.

Yeah, how dare they acknowledge all of the other holidays that take place around the winter solstice. There’s so obviously only one that matters.
i’d say last year’s it was more pre-christmas, but yea co-existing holidays – what a true bummer! make xmas great again, amirite?! jesus.

Stupid question maybe. Bur how do you engage them in battles now? No quest seems to be existing for any of The characters that start The battle, and when you click on The spaceship, i only get the option to choose skin.
Like the post says you have to select their individual task for each character
Seems mine was partially removed last night. The bonut round went missing when I logged in around 11:00 PT (UTC-8). I had one round of cannon shots to fire up and no task… meh, it was a good ride.
Keep the snow for winter! Like it a lot.
EA messed it up by not allowing you to select the BS warriors from the Rigellian Spaceship ☹️

You need at least 2 GB or free space on you padular device.
Hmm, It’d be nice if they would say that – especially before downloading without wifi.
I had gotten a warning saying I needed more space… so I freed up space and ran the install. It played for a login or two , then it would start over again. Seems like if you say there is enough room, there ought to be enough room.
I had that with the Christmas update. I had to uninstall and reinstall 4 times before it stopped.
IF it’s iOS you are using,you will have to free up space for the tapped out app,the latest update to iOS now takes data from less important apps for stuff like your music,photos or video,if you have downloaded something lately it most likely has taken it from the tapped out app as it’s so big,…try deleting an album if you have one,see if it fixes your problem…hope this should help😉

Alissa Thank You for the detailed post. I can´t wait for the update ready to spend some donuts, I wish there was a way to know when they offer “game money” for donuts. I saw it in December 2017 but it´s no longer there. Anyhow …I can´t wait for the snow to leave my Springfield.

Thanks for the post, but I was actually referring to purchasing STO Money for STO Donuts. I saw it in the store where you can purchase packages for money with Donuts, but it´s no longer there and wanted to know. How often STO offers the above specified?
A direct purchase of donuts with game cash was never possible. I would have jumped in an instance at it, if it was made possible by EA.
rudolphovanwijk I think you are confused. I was referring to purchasing MONEY ( STO MONEY) with Donuts. I´ve seen “Money Packages” in the store that one can purchase with Donuts. Maybe I explained it wrong in the beginning but I was referring to purchasing MONEY packages with Donuts.
That’s completely silly to do that, but it it still possible. 1600 donuts will give you 5.7 million game cash.
Thanks for the info Rudolph. Just a non related question, Is there a Risk to “add ” random people you don´t know just to reap the benefits of having a lot of “Friends” on STO???
The option to purchase game cash with donuts is still there for me. It seems like you can’t click on the ‘get more’ button at the top any more, but if you go to the main screen of the store, it is the icon that has a lone donut sitting on top of a pile of cash.
Not all of the characters have animated tasks for the BS Battles (I.e. Christmas Tree Ralph and J.C. Rigellian)… Does anyone remember what other characters aren’t animated for the BS Battles?
Lyla doesn’t have a visual battle task unless they fixed it with the update.
Love the snow is still here hope they don’t pull it with the update tomorrow,it’s freezing in Scotland till at least February,I’ve finished all the task and loved that it wasn’t the 4hr grind which helped with the holidays…I’ll be having the normal spacecraft…normally I hate spoilers but please post them as I’ve been finished with my tasks for days and still feel like a child and can’t wait for what’s next!😛
I was 6 doughnuts short for one more try at the mystery box. I almost got everything. The Grumple has been on my want list but unfortunately it got away again this year. I’m happy we still have snow in our towns. No more robot Funzos tapping in our neighbor’s towns……..Oh yeah.
