Ok guys, the update is live in the app store (right now it’s only on Android. If you don’t see it restart your device and search the app store for Tapped Out). While I’m working on the rundown post i wanted to give you guys the spoilers we originally received from EA for Act 1.
So for those who want to know click below, if you don’t want to know don’t click below….
For those concerned, we’re not changing our Spoiler policy. These are Spoilers we received directly from EA as part of their new program to reach out to the TSTO Community. Because these are confirmed by EA and we have the authorization to release them, we’re releasing them. Beyond the information provided directly by EA we’ll still operate as business as usual and we will always warn you before spoilers are posted.

Remember this is all rough info . I’m currently working on the rundown post, but wanted to get you guys some info. As soon as I have that full rundown together I’ll get it posted for you. So don’t worry, I’ll do the usual rundown post and we’ll have all the regular info up about who/what/where/when/how…and a Calendar. 🙂
So the first bit of information this event runs from today, May 30th, until Wednesday, July 11th. So 6 total weeks. And yes, it follows the traditional Act format.
First, here are some overall tidbits of information direct from EA:
TSTO’s Itchy and Scratchy Land Event brings two major changes to your game! First, we are moving all Krustyland content into Springfield, eliminating the loading screens you’ve experienced when visiting the park in the past. Second, we are adding all-new characters, including Itchy and Scratchy themselves, plus a ton of great new attractions and decorations that can be used to build your own Itchy & Scratchy Land theme park.
So WOWSERS! So many of you will be THRILLED to know that Krustyland is going away! Woohoo! Krustyland will officially be moved to Springfield…no more traveling to K-Land! No more annoying load screen! Gotta love that!
Before you ask “what about my designs?!” and “what about land?!”…we’ll get to that in a minute so be patient…
Here’s the overall synopsis from EA regarding the end of K-Land….
Under mounting pressure from Springfielders to dispose of the eyesore that Krustyland has become, Mayor Quimby reclaims the land from Krusty and sells it to the military as a nuclear testing site. Krustyland is soon blown straight off the map!
So apparently it only took 5 years of complaining about Krustyland, but Quimby has finally listened! Must be an election year…
So how will destroying Krustyland work? Well EA has an answer for that too…
Before the start of the Itchy & Scratchy Land Event, players will be given a week to either store or nuke their Krustyland designs. Once the week is up, Krustyland will automatically be destroyed, and the Krustyland zone will be permanently removed from the game! Players can utilize group storage to select and store sections of their Krustyland designs, which can then be placed inside their Springfield. Any items that players don’t store prior to nuking will be stored individually in the player’s inventory and placed in Springfield at any time.
Due to the space required to rebuild Krustyland within Springfield, players will receive Land Tokens based on the Krustyland land unlocked at the time it is nuked.
So the first thing to take away from that is, BUY KRUSTYLAND LAND! Get as much as you can so you can get Land Tokens for Springfield to accommodate for it. SO BUY KRUSTYLAND LAND!
Second thing, by this time next week (June 6th) You have FIVE days before an automatic Nuke occurs (June 4th). However you can go ahead and Nuke your K-Land Early. Krustyland will no longer exist. So if you like your designs, store them in bulk. Otherwise when Krustyland disappears all of your K-land items will automatically be stored individually in your inventory. So be sure to store everything if you like the designs you have.
Ok so now, what’s actually included in the event itself?
Here’s some info to cover you for the entire event…
Main Characters that can/will earn event currency:
- Homer
- Apu
- Ned
- Cletus
- Skinner
- Willie
- Moe
- Marge
- Lt Smash
Other characters earned/purchased for each Act will earn event currency. We’ll keep you posted throughout as to who they are when they’re added.
There will also be a building available, Itchy’s Mine Field, that can earn event currency.
And finally, for the overall event, there will be an exciting new event functionality. This is something I’m most psyched about. If you liked the Monorail you’ll love this…again straight from EA:
This Event includes three all-new modular rides: The Injury 500, ****** and ***** (from Alissa, the other 2 rides are coming in later acts), that players can build in their Itchy & Scratchy Lands! Players earn an initial bundle of track pieces for each ride that forms a complete circuit, allowing all ride animations to function. Players can then craft additional pieces of each ride to customize its layout.
Players can also earn Event currency by sending their Springfielders to staff the rides.
This is probably something I’m most excited about. I really love this rollercoaster tycoon aspect to the event. It’ll be exciting to see how it plays out.
And once again there will be a Bonus Area around a “base”, where you can place other items to max out the bonus to earn even more currency. (like the heist bonus in Springfield jobs and defensive bonus for Bart Royale)

And finally, Friday is National Donut Day. There will be some kind of Donut Day special in the game for that. So look out for that on Friday, June 1st. Deals hit today

Before I nuked my kL I exchanged my 50,000 Krustyland tickets to cash, not knowing I would need them!!!
So will the current KL items for sale (both ticket and donut purchases) still be available after the nuke? There were a few donut purchases I am interested in but if they have build times past the force-nuke date, what happens then? I like KL but am not all that upset about it because it will be nice not to travel. I got all the land I could but didn’t want to nuke before I found out about purchases, especially donut ones. Yeah, I’m actually kind of sad about this. It’s true, I didn’t go to Krustyland a lot, but I still liked it. I liked the separation of Springfield and Krustyland.
This update has made playing impossible! The game has crashed my phone twice and it plays so slowly that it isn’t worth playing. I have been playing four years and have already replaced one cell phone — I won’t do it again!! So unless EA can fix this problem I’m finished with this game.

Just a quick note. I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere after a quick look, but I’ve just seen that Krusty has various tasks that earn event currency too.
Totally unplayable, lagging very bad even in friends towns, EA need to fix this or will lose players. Put me off playing no fun at all
160K tickets bought an awful lot of land, but still 13 of the most expensive blocks left. Any way to get more tix. The tix in the store is greyed out.
Grind for them by sending characters on tasks there
What should I do with the 300k+ KL tickets that I have? I’ve had all of the land for years…
Hold em, cash em in, do nothing…really nothing of importance to do with them after you get the land.

This is BS. People were complaining to EA about them “Neglecting and Forgetting about Krustyland” not wanting to get rid of it. I put way too much time into it. Honestly, after the whole “only getting land from land token thing” instead of in game money, I’m very pissed at the designers. I feel like I have wasted the last 5 years of my life building up my Springfield (and paying way too much of my real money) for the designers to give me the “virtual bird” by making all of that time worthless. I stopped buying Anything with donuts because of this. This is another thing to get me mad at the game. I liked my Krustyland the way it was, I just wanted them to make more rides for it… Not do away with it…. SCREW EA!!! I’LL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME ON THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG! It was getting slow before the update but after??? The game is lagging sooooooo much I’m barely able to move in the game now, placing stuff from inventory is taking minutes for one item! And the collecting cash n xp is so sluggish as well, I think the time on that is more than tripled… If they don’t up the item limit I’ll have to destroy my perfect springfield layouts, removing all the bushes and flowers n fences to be able to paly on! Not happy! 🙁
No update in store for this. Tried rebooting etc…maybe delete and reinstall?
Some have said that helps as well. Also just searching Tapped Out, doesn’t always appear in the Update list.
My KL won’t nuke. Crashes app anyone else have this issue.
Yes, continuously. Tried reinstalling, didn’t help. Cleared more room on drive but still no luck.
Just downloaded new update to save Krustyland items in my inventory but the app KEEPS CRASHING!!! UGGHHH

What item should go into inventory when I nuke Krustyland? All I see in my inventory is the old entrance.
If you don’t have designs that you want to keep, and your KL is not too big, you can probably just let the game store everything for you when you nuke. It should automatically put everything into your inventory. You might want to wait till tomorrow, tho, lots of tappers having issues with freezes and crashes today…servers seem a little overwhelmed.
Beat splash screen ever. Nuking Krustyland has to be the highlight in all these years of playing. Thanks for the land especially opposite the ocean. I haven’t used all my tokens, curious if you can get more with in game cash. Either way at least I can finally get back to designing. I was hesitant at first but I’m so freaking excited for this! Only one thing. Lift the item cap. My game is running like a slug.
I have three bases I nuked the first one and it struggled so with my other bases I manually group stored it and it nuked quickly. Therefore if you are having crashing problems try manually storing before nuking. It worked for me.
I keep crashing when I tried to nuke my town. I’ve stored everything and still now luck.
You can use the old Krustyland entrance pieces with the new entry to make it a little more fun😁.

For those wondering: All of the KL land coverts to 100 free land tokens😎. KL tickets can be used in SP. There are items in store that can be purchased with KL tickets. The paving from KL can be used in SP. You can send SPs to earn KL tickets if needs be. I think EA have done a great job with how they’ve transferred it over. It’s just a bot laggy now.
I really really really want to keep my KL shuttle bus, if only for the memories……💜X

I also discovered another problem; I have not been given any land token credits for krustyland, and I had purchased all land there. I imagine this is linked with my game crashing every time I’ve nuked K-land, and the game treats it like I have not nuked K-land. Aarrgggh.
Oh no honestly i liked the separate area for Krustyland. So now more room will have to be taken up on the main now which means less room to expand non-krustyland stuff
Tried to nuke my Krustyland multiple times, but it crashes after I give the nuke command and then it aborts the nuke and kicks me out of the game. I reloaded the app but it is still happening. Any ideas? Anyone else having issues nuking? It sticks when Krusty says uh oh…
Me too, Sharon. Exact same scenario is happening for me and others whose posts I have seen here.
SHARON- I stored all of my KL items first. I then returned and nuked and it didn’t crash and the game progressed. Not sure if it will help but may be worth a try. Good luck…….💜X
I did the same…stored everything before nuking. Nuking was then no problem.
Stored everything but it is still happening. Can’t get the game to advance past the Krusty Oh No! screen. I’ve tried several times. Thanks for the hints though. Hopefully it will fix itself soon. I’ve already tried to reinstall the app but that didn’t help either.
You’re not alone. Same thing happens to me. Un-install/Re-install doesn’t help. Unable to play for hours waiting for the issue to be fixed. Fingers crossed the bug is fixed before the forced nuke in 5 days. Would hate to lose 5 days of game play for this event. It would mean that I most likely wouldn’t get all the prizes.
I had the same problem, but got past it. It took about 15 tries, where I would press the NUKE button, Krusty says “Oh No!”, and then it would go to black screen, and then kick me out of the game back to the desktop. On about 3 out of the 15 tries I saw the animation of the explosion on the Friend’s Towns screen, and then it went black and then out of the game. On the third of those three times I quickly pushed the center of the image for my town (below the part that used to be Krustyland where the explosion took place) to try to get it to go back to my hometown screen, and it worked – it took me back home where the dialogue continued and I can now play the event. I don’t know if it was the split-second tap of my hometown, or it was just a fluke and it worked regardless, but patience (and continual re-tries) paid off.
I received 15 free donuts for Happy Donut Day. I’m going to try and save many of my free land tokens for when I need to expand into very expensive areas …. Krustyland and I&S-land are going by the water … just like Toronto’s CNE – affectionately known as the Mistake By the Lake – it was awesome in the 70’s !!
Will “Sideshow You” remain active? I have gone to that neglected Theme Park twice a day, nearly everyday for four years for five donuts every three months or so!

Anyone else’s roads all messed up & moved from where they were places before the update?
Not happy to say the least, not a very smooth transition, got 101 land tokens which is good as I bought all the land there and went there 2/3 times a day and has 250 thousand tickets saved, cant move around easily, nuked my krustyland, and don’t know we’re to start, very lagggy, in top of that my tab fell so am working with a smashed screen 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀, buy the way got a 60 donuts payout or was it 40, that confused I forget.
If the game lag improves i might build my krusty land on one side of my Springfield and i&s on the other, looks a bit stupid with all the land in Springfield hights unavailable.
Here’s to the next 6 weeks we will all be as nuts as itchy or is it scratchy i forget again!!!, Time for a nap me thinks zzzzzzzzzzzz
Wait, I thought your krustyland tickets would show up in Springfield somehow. Please tell me I am missing something.
They do – in the Krustyland entrance. Also there are some items that can only be purchased with those tickets.

Hi! I had 100 thousand tickets and bought a lot of landm all until 3500 each. Now I have 101 free land tokens (I had about 20 before, so I won 80). Plus, I received 6 land areas at the top of my springfield, worth 830000, where I put the enourmous entrance (it occupies about 8×4 land areas) for the new event. My question now is how to put correctly the injury 500 🙂
