Well, it’s that time in Springfield…time for Act 2 to hit our games. It’s 10am here on the east coast and that means it’s time for Itchy and Scratchy Act 2…so have at it my friends!
And YES, the server is currently down. When will EA learn to just go back to the 4am (ET) start times….
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Itchy kicks things off in Springfield, and you’ll have tasks for Itchy, Diane (if you unlocked her) and Springfielders..
Act 2 Runs until June 27th (when Act 3 will start)
Just what does Act 2 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
New Prize Currency for Act 2
Foam Axes
So the ability to earn Knives is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to zero because you have zero Axes. So get cracking on those Axes
You’ll earn Foam Axes very similar to how you earned knives during Act 1….
-Clearing Park Visitor Tappables (earn 5 /tap)
– Clearing Visitors in your Neighbor’s towns (earns 5 /tap)
-Daily Challenges
-Sending Characters to Staff Rides ( earning varies)
Act 2 Personal Prizes
Log Ride Bundle (+land token)- 4,800
Free Land Token- 19,700
Parade Roller Bundle- 29,700
Parade Train Bundle- 39,700
500 I&S Money (Crafting currency)-49,700
Bort- 59,700
Act 1 Prizes…
If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT 1” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)
Crafting
Crafting remains, as it was during Act 1, for Act 2.
HOWEVER, Act 2 items have now unlocked for your purchase….provided you’ve reached level 5 and unlocked the log ride from the prize track. For level requirements check out the Act 1 crafting post
Guys there seems to be a lot of confusion about this…Craftables WILL NOT unlock until you’ve unlocked the Log Ride from the prize track…just like the crafting box says….
Log Ride Short Track– 800 (Level 5)
Log Ride Corner – 800 (Level 5)
Log Ride Long Track– 1,600 (Level 6)
Log Ride Plunge– 2,400 (Level 6)
Log Ride Loop– 3,200 (Level 7)

Remember….
You earn crafting currency from tapping Park Visitors, sending characters to staff rides AND clearing Park Visitors in friends towns.
Amusement Bonus
Yes, the area around your I&S Gate is still active for the Amusement Bonus. Only now the bonus % has increased to 35%. So 15% more from Act 1 to max it out.
New Items in the Store..
A couple of items that hit earlier this week….
Squeaky Voiced Attendant and Soarin’ Over Springfield- 100 Donuts. This is a SKIN for SVT, not a new character. I’ll have a SIB post on this up likely tomorrow. If you’ve purchased this already and can’t find SVT, check your inventory. He was stored there after the K-Land nuke.
Maw Spuckler- Available IF you purchase donuts for cash. Buy 300 donuts get Maw with that bundle. 300 donuts is $19.99 in the US (it’ll cost more in other countries because of Taxes from Google, iOS and Amazon. EA only collects $19.99). I’ll have a breakdown of this up in the next couple of days, but she’ll be available until the event ends (July 11th), so no rush.

Also, next week the game will celebrate pride with a few additions to the game. (new and returning) That will last about a week and we’ll cover the details when it hits.
And for those asking about the Presidents, if/when they’re coming back….they usually appear around the 4th of July and, well, the 4th of July isn’t until…July 4th. So look for those guys to appear, if they make a reappearance (which I wouldn’t doubt because they’ve appeared every year since 2013…), around then or at least the last week of June. i.e. when Act 3 hits.

Seriously this lag problem is taken all the fun out of the game, are ea looking into this, no fun if it’s not working, anyone got a solution???

Cuz THAT makes sense. 😒 First day is always the laggyiest (if thats a word…) Everyone has high expectations and doesn’t like being let down with problems. I gotta say…. I do prefer these prizes for Act 2! Yay! Come on….give it up for Bort! Lol

I stored all the track pieces from the Injury 500 to make room for the new ride and, no surprise, the lag all but disappeared. Couldn’t store the main building, but it doesn’t seem to be the problem (no animation). When I started to pull the track out to rebuild a smaller version, the lag was back immediately. All the track is in storage now and I turned the main building into a bumper car ride. As soon as you can (without losing your bonus), get rid of your track pieces. My game is almost back to normal now for regular game play. Moving groups is still a pain, but greying out the land tiles does help with that.
I think there is definitely a glitch in the game. I managed to unlock the log ride which unlocked the craftable items but my level 5 meter still hasn’t budged it still shows 0.
Fortunately, my awesome Injury 500 has covered the 35% marker in the last Act. Nothing but gravy, now. 😉
In my non premium game I was able to max out to 35% this morning by placing the parking lot on the edge of the area. Nice to start out an event at the max bonus.
Lag lag lag, nothing works with log ride, welcome to plopperville
I hate the use of bonus areas
It presents me from designing and the area is not big enough for me to design.
Best advice is to figure out what you want to do and then wait until the event is over to design it. Then build the K-land stuff around it

I stored all my track pieces and the lag all but disappeared. Was able to save enough crafting bucks to build the log ride and moved my 4 parking lots to join the bonus, so I don’t need the track anymore. The log ride is not causing any problems so far👍😁.
First task for Act 2: Send 10 Springfielders on a 4 hour task…
These are just SO MUCH FUN for those of us with over 300 characters 😐
I only sent 10 on the task and let the rest wander for 4 hours. So much cash already, 4 hours won’t make a difference…and I saved myself a lot of aggravation.😁.
I’m so not a fan of leveling up with the crafting. I’m out of currency and can’t wait to get the loop, but I have two extra parking lots I really didn’t want. Oh well, it is what it is. I think Bort is a fun addition.
The prizes for this act look more interesting than the first one. I’m really hoping they’ll offer the Krusty monorail station some time during this event, though. I missed it the first time, and it would be the perfect addition now.
Ok the update loaded fine and everything but I can’t zoom out any more! I don’t know if it was part of the update or a glitch but please fix it ea!! It took me too long to collect as it was but now it’s aggrevating! I almost want to quit after years of playing unless it can be fixed.
I’ve actually had this happen to me a couple of times over the last few months. The only thing I found that fixed it was to uninstall & reinstall the game.
I was able to get in after a bit of trying to reconnect long enough to get all the tasks for act 2 started & place the first prize to max out the bonus %. Thank you Alissa & gang for keeping us updated, you all do a great job!!!
Ouf! I have been lucky, i logged in at 10.20pm West Australian time and had no issues. However, I preferred when it started at 8 am our time. I had time to get the first prize, it’s going to be huge again! It takes a lot of space. It’s not quite proportionate with the Injury 500.

Getting to 35 % bonus takes a big area – since I had already designed the entrance and racetrack, I had to move both to free land to work in the log ride parts to hit the max.
Parking lots do not ALL have to be in the bonus area – just a bit, this helped me with space issues.
I’m not being allowed to craft the new items :-(…
I keep leveling up, but the new items are still locked for me.
Does anyone else have that problem?

Are the characters from the 2 bundles on the prize track full characters? They seem to be listed as full characters (not NPC) on simpsonswiki, but I find it hard to believe that they’ll give as so many characters for free.
I’m in the game, but can’t buy new log ride even tho i am level 5 and have currency.

After I finally got logged in/kicked off act2, I am past level 5 crafting but…don’t have access to these new craftables! Help :I
You cannot unlock new craftables UNTIL you’ve unlocked the log ride from the prize track..
Well that “stinks on ice”… But at least it’s not a glitch in my game!

Hi all. Think I have a bug. Got logged in to start act two but my level five craftables haven’t unlocked. Quest line was finished so I am guessing a bug. Also tried using my stash to level up and that didn’t work. Any thoughts appreciated. Love this site!!

I got lucky and managed to get in and send characters for the first task and the rest of event characters to the rides before it kicked me out. During that I noticed that I had bonus 32.5% due to the items crafted to get me to level 5. So some of you might have bonus maxed before doing anything in act 2 😉
I didnt manage to collect saved out daily rewards, but once I get into the game again, collecting will get me the first reward – its at 4800 axes, so three daily rewards + what i had collected from event character jobs.
I started the initial quest line, but then I got kicked off
EVERYONE, ELSE QUIT THE GAME SO I CAN GET BACK ON!!!
At least I’ve got 4 hour ‘till I need to be back.

EA already kicked me off back on the May 8th update. So I won’t be able to help you with that. My account is no longer allowed to connect to the server. Contacted EA last night to find out why the promised 24 to 48 hours to fix my issue had taken 35 days and found out that even though EA was posting my ‘escalated case’ was in progress, someone had put a hold on my case. So, now I have to play anonymously from the beginning since EA won’t work on my issue from back in May 2018. Sadness.
Keep contacting them until you get someone to help you.Try to get a call back during 9-5 CDT to get a US rep, or you can try chat. They will try to blow you off or not want to help you. Just keep calling until someone does.
I managed to log in long enough to send Itchy on his 8hr task before getting kicked out. Almost got to send Diane too, but didn’t. Darn. :/
I would imagine the servers are down because they are getting bombarded by people trying to login and start act 2. I was playing just fine half hour before act 2. While I was still logged in act 2 started and just a few minutes later I got booted. It’s so frustrating. Everyone just needs to log off so I can get into my Springfield.

Yeah just got the update for act 2 and it went to loading screen and now I can’t open game.. as it ain’t loading lol.. it’s never happened to me before so how long does it normally take for it to be up and running.. any ideas guys.. ?
Servers are down? So I’m not the only one locked out of the game? Why is this happening, everyone who is locked out will be behind in the event, and I for one am losing donuts!!!😩
More like can’t connect to the servers is live. Ever since the Nuke in Krusty Land this game is unplayable. 20 mins to clear cash and XP from my town. The game plays like it’s in slow motion. Really close to quiting this game. Shouldn’t take 25 mins to tap stuff. Horrible performance due to Krusty Land. EA should have let things be.
Bort? Really? I like characters, but they’re scrapping the barrel this time… I’ll still play for him, but only because I’m a completionist! That’s assuming I can log in, anyway, I keep getting bumped out…

Yeah about 5 minutes in the server died on me. Guess I wasn’t the only one trying to get going right away. They definitely need to go back to doing it in the middle of the night.
