Some exciting news…
We’ve received the content package for the next event from EA! Which means…we can share some details in advance with you guys! Remember, we’re all under NDA, so please bear with us as we can’t share EVERYTHING we know until EA tells us we can (which is usually how we operate anyway). But we have the green light to release some basic info about the next event.
So no more guessing, we now know WHEN the next event will start and WHAT the next event will cover! Pretty exciting stuff huh?
So I know there are a bunch of you who like to remain spoiler free (and this, to me, will not violate our spoiler-free policy as this is information provided to us directly from EA. They’re giving us the go-ahead to share…) I’ll post the WHAT below the fold. However, I will say the next event will start (as we predicted earlier this week) on Wednesday, August 1st.
So be prepared on Wednesday, August 1st for the event launch

While we can’t give away too much of the what with this event, we can tell you the next event will be focused around (as many of you guessed)…..
THE SPRINGFIELD ZOO!
With a few Simpsons twists and turns along the way!
We can also tell you that it will have an auto start prompt, so no worries about keeping anyone free to get the event going. HOWEVER, you will need THREE members of The Simpson Family for the first task. So make sure you keep those Simpsons free on Wednesday!
Here’s a little more…
-Like all events, this one will be broken into 3 Acts, with each Act running 2 weeks. So this will be a 6-week total event, running until Sept 12th.
-Loads of animals and zoo decorations will be coming to Springfield. As well as several new characters (including some from the Bracket battles).
-Premium content will be plenty…old and new. There will be Mystery Boxes to tempt you, as well as returning content to buy directly with donuts.
-Another spend cash for donuts item will appear..although I don’t think you’ll be happy with the price point.
-Gil will likely make an appearance (he always does). This time around I have a feeling he’ll be bringing a popularly requested character. So farm/buy those donuts you’ll need a lot to get that character (less than 400 but more than 200).
-There will be land tokens.
-Oh and there’s nothing you need to do to really prep for this one…i.e. you don’t need to buy all available land like the last event.
Overall it will be a pretty standard 6-week event, especially one for the end of the summer. A few element changes will be added, but it’s still 3 Acts and 6 weeks. If you like the Zoo and animals, this is the event for you.
I’ve got to be honest though, I’m not big into animals so this one really isn’t grabbing my attention all that much. I’m excited for some of the characters/content but the overall theme of the event just isn’t doing anything for me. BUT that’s me. Some of you may absolutely love animals and this may be the event you’ve been waiting for …and that’s awesome! Not to be a downer, I’m just not in that group. Canon characters excite me, animals do not.
In any event, be ready, Wednesday, August 1st for things to get a little wild in Springfield! (as wild as they can get in a zoo)

For the love of all that is good and holy, ea, no bonus area where we have to haphazardly cram stuff to get a bonus which caused me crippling lag in the last event. That being said, I like the sound of this event. Looks like fun!
Not to mention that cramming lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) all together in a small space could be disastrous😬.
I’m looking forward to more animals. Better than a bunch of guys in suits I can’t tell apart.

I send all the suits on 24 hour jobs or to “Dance the senor Burns” But then I reset all my 200+ characters manually!
I like the sound of this…I really enjoy animals and hope I enjoy these. I am a little concerned with the end date- it ends in the craziest week of the year for me, my one and only family vacation. I hope I am able to complete it.

Just read this post as something was mentioned on facebook and realised I’ve not been on since Tuesday as I’m away in my caravan with a slightly dodgy internet signal. In game cash and donut levels (5000+) are very healthy so if I can’t get on till I get home on the 6th I should be able catch up. Not exactly thrilled with the idea of a zoo but as long as I can fit it in my Theme Park Area which takes up all of Springfield Heights it’ll be worth a go.
Two big wishes for this one: curving paths that Springfielders will actually walk on and a way to corral NPC’s in particular areas you place them in, like a special fencing.
One summer returning item I’d really like to see, now that I since have a golf course, is the little golf flag and cup they only offered once since I started playing in 2014 that I’ve been lamenting for for over a year now. They didn’t bring back the I&S hologram last event, the least EA can do is bring back the most simple decoration ever (a red triangle on a stick with a black dot at the bottom) that they had the gall tp charge 15 donuts ea. for, but how else is my mini golf course supposed to look like a golf course? The spy manhole covers don’t cut it. Ok rant over.

I kind of love these early teasers from EA. Not because they get me excited for the new event, but because it gives me a few days to ponder how to approach where to put a zoo, or if I want to combine it with my still in progress KL rebuild, or what. Or at the very least buy some space to put it in. I somehow have cash squares available. Maybe I’m super frugal with my space? *shrugs* I feel like ISL might end up stored. I liked the characters and the nurses stations/ticket booths so much more than the rides from that event. The park engineer can work for KL, right?
A Zoo will be the perfect place for the outdoor stage…was just wondering where that was going to end up…and the water/whale show from KL will go perfectly…and the food needle in the center of the park…hmmmm…lots of ideas😁.
I’m looking forward to this Event. A lot of us have been hoping for something zoo and animal-related for quite some time. I wonder if the animals will take the form of Characters like SLH and Freedom or Decorations like Painted Horse.
Can you reveal what returning content is coming back? I know Homerpalooza 2017 was taking place during the same time frame last year when I was away from the game, and would love the opportunity to snag Bleeding Gums Murphy or some other musical characters/buildings that I missed out on.

Most characters and buildings from Homerpalooza were offered by mystery boxes during the last event..so I don’t think EA is gonna offer them again for a while, sorry.
As long as we don’t miss out on the fantastapotamus!!!
Springfield Zoo sounds like it will be a Fun Event provided:
It’s not an unwelcomed grind (doesn’t matter if it’s 2 Acts, or 3 Acts, just be worth the time and effort Prize wise)
Animals are Characters that generate XP & $ (and are not Decor or NPC’s)
Decor are Craftables only (not having to over Craft to reach a Bonus %, no more Decor as Act Prizes)
New Characters as Act Prizes help with the Event (I’m ok with Character Skins for Characters who don’t have one already – provided they help with the Event)
Premiums are expected (Discounts and Mystery Boxes appreciated) so open that Vault
I’m not going to debate over the Prices for Donuts with Character, Premium Character / Character with Building (if I object? I won’t spend Sprinkles)
Gil will always appear (sometimes it’s a deal, sometimes it’s a nope)
Land Tokens are a hot commodity (if a Building doesn’t come with a Land Token? it’s a nope)
All of my Animals are stored (those that are NPC’s), so I’m giving EA the benefit of the doubt that a Zoo can go right next to the Theme Parks filled with Character Tasks (or what’s the point?). The worst that could occur is having no interest in this Event ; which isn’t a negative, as I’ll keep Kem Farming for Halloween Event 2018!

Yay! 6 whole land tokens over 6 weeks I’m guessing? Would have been nice to actually be able to buy the dozens and dozens of land pieces with otherwise worthless in game cash .. You know, during the week of down time so we could actually expand, decorate and rearrange.

Ahhh I need help guys. Should I make the zoo inside krustyland/i&s land (Make it seem like krusty owns all attractions) or just made the Springfield zoo by itself
Just my thoughts exactly, going to store the amusements that don’t work a create a huge theme park with itchy and scratchy, krusty land and animal then with my jurassic Park as well. Tbc
Since I stored all my KL and ISL stuff…I’m thinking I will break it up into different areas in my town. The zoo will now add another area to work in a few KL things, along with a new fairgrounds area near Cletus’ farm, and a new carnival area on Squidport (with rides). I may even add a small school festival/bazaar next to the elementary school (it can wear the banners) with food booths, the helicopter ride, and dunk-a monk. I like the idea of several smaller scenarios, rather than the humongeous ISL/KL that we ended up with in the last event. I don’t want Orlando…more smaller venues seem appropriate for Springfield.

Hi there, does any one know why ever since the last Krustyland update my game is super slow mo?, it works fine for a good three minutes then everything stops working properly and goes into slow mo mode?! How do I fix this?

If you have the log ride, racetrack and roller coaster from ISL in operation try removing a piece of track so they aren’t animated. I had the same problem and it worked for me
Store the log ride, race track & rollercoaster from last event (Worst Event Ever) & your lag should end. It did for me! All now in storage in both my games!
I just hope there is a task for Lovejoy to save Ned from the apes
6 weeks. Yawn.
I went from logging in 10x a day to maybe once every other day, sometimes 3 days. After 5 years of playing I’m in full game fatigue. I don’t even send characters out on tasks because what’s the point? Money doesn’t matter anymore and I have nearly the max amount in the bank anyway.
Give up, or have a major break,
I’m in the same boat but from a broken game. I was in every 4 hours, now I’m in every 12.
You could always do a controlled nuke…store everything in groups…and just pull out your favorites. Have a whole new Springfield with lots of room for new events. If you have hundreds of millions in the bank, you can farm donuts for the next year with RTTs, so your XP bonus and income are irrelevant. Why not start with a clean slate and have fun with a new Springfield?

I was just trying to search for what the event was going to be based on the event title Moe’s Ark, when I gave up and the Addicts page tab automatically popped up when I closed the other tab. Great timing for me. I was thinking it was going to be based around Moe…wrong, and that it might be a water theme….wrong again. Thanks for the spoiler info. I’ve been trying to rearrange my Springfield a little bit and now I know better where to try and put the new event content. Now if only I had more space to put it all. I figure it’s gonna take a couple years (yes, I said years) to organize what I already have due to the way we earn land tiles. I still have plopped sections due to lack of room.

I am so excited that EA is bringing us the zoo!! Looking forward to this event, real life has been extra crappy lately so I’m happy to have something extra fun to focus on 😃
