Moe’s Ark Act 2 is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well, it’s that time in Springfield…time for a new Act! It’s 10am here on the east coast and that means it’s time for Moe’s Ark Act 2…so have at it, assuming you can get into the game of course!

Yes, odds are the servers will likely be down.  May I suggest waiting an hour or so before trying?  Unless you like seeing the Bart Screen…and spinning donut.  mmmm spinning donuts

Remember…this is an automatic change in your game.  Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..

Questline should start right up for you and you’ll have to do a 4hr task with Larry Kidkill.  Hopefully you saved up those Daily Challenges to get a good jump start!

Act 2 runs until August 29th (when Act 3 will start)

Just what does Act 2 have in store for us?  Let’s take a look…

New Prize Currency for Act 2

I’m gonna assume these are Animal Tracks

So the ability to earn is now gone.  Your counter prize track for Act 2 has reset to zero because you have zero .  So get cracking on those

You’ll earn  very similar to how you earned during Act 1….

-Clearing Park Visitor Tappables (earns 4 /tap)
– Clearing Visitors in your Neighbor’s towns (earns 4 /tap)
-Daily Challenges (400/each)
-Sending Characters to Volunteer ( earning varies)
-Sending/tapping Invasive Toads to neighbors and in your town (earn  4 /sent and/or cleared in your town)

Act 2 Personal Prizes

Squid and Sailor– 4,000

Free Land Token– 11,400

Slimu Auditorium– 19,000

Crafting Currency (3000 Sanctuary Grants)– 26,800

Great Plains– 35,000

Free Land Token– 43,700

T-Rex– 57,000

Act 1 Prizes…

If you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT  1” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright buy each one left at the point you left off at. (Just like every other event recently.)

Upgrades

Upgrading Habitats remains the same as it was for Act 1 in Act 2, only you’ll have two new Habitats to upgrade.

The Free Habitat unlocked via the Act 2 questline…(ie keep playing the questline to unlock it.  It unlocks via part 3…)

Baboon County, USA.

And the one unlocked via the Act 2 Prize Track…

 Great Plains.

Each Habitat has upgrades available to unlock extension pieces and additional animals.  We’ll cover that in an upgrade post (likely up tomorrow).

Hopefully, you saved up your upgrade currency  so you can get a jump start on upgrading!  Remember the extension pieces (as well as the Habitats help increase your Arrangement Bonus within the blue area).

Remember….

You earn upgrade currency from tapping Zoo Visitors, sending characters to Volunteer, clearing Zoo visitors in neighbors towns, invasive toads and the prize track. (you can also purchase them for donuts in the store)

New Characters Can Volunteer

With the arrival of Act 2 and 2 new Habitats, more characters can volunteer at the new attractions to earn event Currency.  Here’s a list of who can volunteer at Baboon County

And here’s a list for the Great Plains

*Sarah Wiggum and Knifey Spooney will both also have tasks at these locations once they arrive in the game.

And remember, to access volunteer jobs tap on the Springfield Zoo Entrance…

New Items in the Store…

New cash items available…

Zoo Viewing Platform- $15

Stacking Sheep- $20

Zoo Elephant Statue- $50

Wet ‘N’ Wacky World Sign- $100

Marine World Sign- $100

Marine World Fountain- $75

Again, I really like that they’ve eliminated traditional crafting and went back to adding event themed items to the store for cash.  Gives a purpose for cash.  Hopefully, they continue with this for future events

New Premium Items available…

Joan Bushwell & Chimp Refuge- 150 Donuts

Returning Premium Items available…

Old Faithless- 40 Donuts, leaves stores 8/21

Bear Cave- 40 Donuts, leaves stores 8/21

New Cash Offer

Butterfly Maggie- Spend $19.99 (US) and get 100 BONUS donuts (so 400 total) and Butterfly Maggie.  A premium costume for Maggie. (I’ll have a full Should You Buy on this, but my initial impression is no, don’t spend your money)

Premium items still to come during Act 2…
(these are coming off a list sent to us by EA, so don’t shoot the messenger if they don’t hit the game or something is off with them)

Sarah Wiggum (arrives 8/17)

Atlantis (arrives 8/20)

Returning: Giant Grasshopper, Mutant Rabbit, Chirpy & Bart Jr and Vicious Monkeys (arrives 8/22)

Knifey Spooney & Crocky Waters (arrives 8/23)

A New Mystery Box (arrives 8/24)

Three-Eyed Whale (arrives 8/26)

And before you ask…

Here’s a list of posts we’re working on that should be up soon…

-Act 2 Calendar
-Act 2 walkthrough
-SIB for New Content
-And more!

So be patient, the info you need will be up soon. 🙂

And that my friends concludes the quick rundown of Act 2!

Remember this is just a quick rundown…as we have time to play through the Act ourselves we’ll break everything down in more detail.

Thoughts on Act 2?  Just like you pictured it?  Excited about these prizes?  How’d you do with your Act 1 prizes?  Will you be buying any of the new premium items? Sound off in the comments below.  You know we love hearing from you!

  1. My Squid and Sailor disappeared and there isn’t even one in the store. Has anyone else had this happen? I didn’t even get a chance to place it.

    • It automatically goes into storage. It will be under Decorations and you’ll need to scroll a bit.

Also, fwiw, I keep getting little missions (place an… elephant statue, wet’n wacky sign). If you already have those things, you don’t need to buy more of them, simply store it and then re-place and voila!

    • I got it this morning, it came at a different time than my fiend’s did.

  2. 🐘

    🔫🐒 . See ya bye . 👽

Since I don’t use EA forums, I’ll just say it here…
    ITEM LIMITS!!!

    • Yes, I think I’ll be hitting the limit again well before Act 3. I don’t know why you just can’t purchase longer fences and monorail pieces… this would reduce the items used quite considerably… I think many of my trees may be doomed 🙁

      • Josephine Kick@$$

Definitely would be nice if longer pieces were available, even grouped trees would help a little. I hate losing trees & flowers 🙁

  4. Store says Bear Cave is 100 donuts but I like your price of 40 so much better 😤

  5. I have to go with Patric here and say why did they add a “plain” as a tier in this act rather than a aquarium? Like where does that fit into anything?? Also who is “T-Rex” never once saw this character in the show smh. I think if they had one more fire ball by the time they made this they would have been knocked clean out!( kinda annoyed because I was looking forward to a good aquarium) 🤬

    • Yes, an aquarium would be made sense – and would have so many great possibilities! OpportunitEA missed.

  6. Am I the only one who thinks the squid looks “odd” or is my line of thought just inappropriate?

  7. Squid and Sailor

It didn’t take me long to obtain the 1st Prize in Act 2 (Squid and Sailor), which I think looks better on the Pier.

I’m tempted to place the Wet ‘N’ Wacky World Sign near the Pier (with the Mermaid in her Pool).

The Marine World Sign / Marine World Fountain \ Elephant Statue are in the Zoo until I decide if they belong elsewhere.

Patric is right! Act 2 feels like EA just dumped whatever Wild Animal related stuff from The Simpson’s (they could have easily brought back the Duff Gardens Castle, then introduced everything else in Duff Gardens) .

As soon as I obtain Sarah Wiggum? I don’t know if I will continue with this Event (beyond obtaining Land Tokens). I would rather Kem Farm for Premiums, then save Sprinkles for Halloween. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  8. Great list of spoilers and dates for act 2 thanks Alissa ❤

    🐊🐘🦒🦓🦍🐵

  9. Thank you Addicts for the constant updates about the game. You are appreciated!

  10. How on earth did 2 of my sheep stack ? I placed a few and only one pair has morphed !

  11. This probably has already been answered somewhere but can’t find it. Who are all the characters that can volunteer at big cat country? I only have 2 available. Will take forever to upgrade..

  12. If you haven’t tapped your Stacking Sheep yet, they’re awesome!

  13. I want to get old faithless, but i dont want to spend the donuts =( but it would be great for design

    • I think in the grand scheme of our little towns, design trumps characters (and content in general). 40 donuts is quite a lot for a small item, but if you have a good idea as to how to use it, get it. You do not need to grab it up today though if you are light on donuts and want to see the stuff coming in the next few days.

  14. Yay, new content. Does anyone else like the new little stuff as much/more than most of the big? I wish EA would roll out a bunch of new fence, trees, benches, small decorations, land types, etc. as permanent additions to the store. The towns/item limits increase but the variety of stuff remains mostly the same. I should not be so pleased to see sheep. Give me more variety with which to design, EA. Doing so would refresh interest in older (previously completed) parts of our town.

  15. Am I the only one who wishes you could place animals on the upgraded extensions to Big Cat Country & the Emu Experience? I don’t understand why they give you extra decorations for the exhibit without giving us the ability to place the animals on the upgraded extensions. I might be the only one, again, but it’s taking me a long time to upgrade these (I still do not have the White Tiger) and even longer if you want more than one exhibit. Hopefully I can get it upgraded before I get Baboon Country…

  16. Well…im officially out of land to purchase where EA decided my zoo area should go. Didnt realize that. Crap. Dont know how exactly to make the next big habitats work. Time to get shifty and creative…..Nuts to this…..
BUT i am oddly excited about buying as many sheep as I want……Lol🐑🐑🐑🐏🐏🐏

  17. Hi All! Thanks for the great posts they definitely help me with the game. 🙂 I’m wondering if something is off with my bonus percentage.. I’m currently at 11% bonus and my event currency payout is 45. I struggled though Act 1 and barely got the final prize in time. Normally I can get in 3 or 4 bonut rounds.

    • I guess you got one each of the first two enclosures, both with all three added bits the same as me ( also on 11% )

    • So basically the bonus does not appear to be increasing character payouts from working at the attractions? I ask because I have the same issue. I haven’t actually counted what I get when I tap the characters at the end of their jobs. I’m hoping that the amount we are receiving reflects the bonus even if what the game says we are going to receive does not. In past events, the text showing payouts has always reflected the increased amount based on the bonus you’ve earned, and so I’ve been irritated by this too.

      • The amount for each action goes up as the bonus increases. They started lower than they are after you hit the next level. But, do the math…a 20% bump isn’t really much. And the bottom line is, you really don’t need it that much to complete the prize cycle.

        • Thanks Patric. I’m going to see if it does change as my bonus goes up. I hated not getting the bonuts but at least I didn’t have to use donuts to get all the prizes. 🙂

      • Exactly! I thought it was just me. It sucks because I wasn’t able to even get one round of bonuts this time. I figured EA was trying to slow us down. LOL

  18. Thanks for the great post Alissa! I sure will build at least two “great plains”, one exclusively for elephants 😍🐘

  19. I spent 10 donuts to get Brittany which is not a bad investment, I haven’t spent any donuts to get the last prize of an act since Wes Doobner was available. I also can’t wait for the mystery box to appear, hopefully it will cost less than 100 donuts like the last one does.

  20. Wait, neither Ned Flanders nor Reverend Lovejoy can volunteer at Baboon County USA? Hopefully they have a joint visual task there after the event.

  21. Well, at 3PM I made a brew and sat comfy ready for Bart but nope, all was well and I rattled through tapping but didn’t pay much attention to the store after grabbing Joan Bushwell so I’ll pop back for neighbour visits and go through the Build a Zoo stuff like I should have.

  22. Looks like some great stuff coming up! I’m turning on my XP multiplier machine thing to make sure I can get it all.

  23. Holy cow. Even if it’s just a brief one-time appearance, I definitely have to get Crocky Waters. That’s one of my favorite Simpsons moments of all time.

  24. Awesome post been waiting for this. I’m not sure compared to previous events but the currency jump seems high in this one the Act 1 first prize was only 2.7k

  25. As an act 1 question, should I spend 80 donuts to get Brittany Brockman as I didn’t grind enough to unlock her?

    • Personally I don’t think she’s worth 80 donuts

    • If she’s a favorite, that’s less than the usual amount for characters these days. She may end up cheaper in the vault eventually, but not by much, so the only real decision is…if she was in the store for 80 donuts, would you get her or not?

  26. Did I miss something? I don’t have a Baboon Country….

  27. What is the Slimu Auditorium?

  28. What should the Springfield Zoo Entrance Bound be up to now?
    I am showing 10.75%

    • 40% for the entire event. Doesn’t change/increase with each act. It remains at 40% max

    • And some of you who are still at fairly low percentages may not realize that in act 1 a few of what I’d call decorative items also helped boost the %. The petting place, the duck pond, and little landscape type things with a hay bale and a couple rocks. You might want to check your inventory to see if you stashed them. I ended up with three of moes emu farm and each one increased the %. And you can buy a second big country too although now that new stuff will be coming it probably wouldn’t make sense. I’ll put my extras away after the event is over.

  29. For the first time in recent events, within minutes of the act starting I was able to log in to the game, view the questline dialogue, buy one of each of the items I wanted, set people on tasks, then leave without being booted to the Bart screen. Maybe people heeded your advice (except me).

Seemed quite short, the dialogue this time.

It is very nice to have items for IGC this time. I have bought some sheep to put in Wales-land.

  30. Awesome – thank-you ! Urgh – the Bear Cave is 100 donuts for a measly .75 %.
Does the Baboon Country unlock upfront, or after Larry’s task ?
