Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Everything’s coming up Milhouse! Last year we had The Flanders’s this year we have the Van Houtens!

Act 3 of this multi-event ushered in one new premium character to help navigate this event, and one new Gil Deal Premium character, that doesn’t help with this event. Milhoose is an all-new premium character for Springfield, who not only helps earn event currency (throughout the entire event) but also comes with a short questline. And Secretary Van Houten does not help earn event currency, but he does come with a fun questline.

There is no doubt that when I posted the plea for support for our rural school in Buyijja, Uganda on Saturday, I had very little hope that we could hit our goal over the next month. Let’s face it…times are tough everywhere. If you haven’t read the papers (remember newspapers?), there is rioting in the streets, record unemployment, a contentious, raucous election, and…oh…that’s right…a global pandemic going on.

So, surely…common sense would tell you that it would take weeks to raise the target goal of $1,850 for remote teaching packets and supplies for the village of Buyijja, if at all. And especially for Tappers…who are known for playing TSTO “Cheapium”or “FullFarmer Freemium.” But, I had to try.

And I was wrong…

Because of Tappers from THIS AMAZING site, that reaches readers across the globe…We Hit Our Goal in Just Two Days!

Note: Sorry guys, I was running around this morning and quickly put this up without logging into my game. That’ll teach me to post without checking in-game. Always do it, and the one time I don’t it bites me in the butt. Anyway, Gil is back in Springfield as well…

I’ll have a breakdown post on this in the coming days. But do note that Secretary Van Houten does NOT earn event currency. And Marine One earns 4.25% bonus on cash and XP.

Who’s ready for more Van Houten fun? Act 3 of the Van Houtens has arrived!

Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on September 16th. However, Act 4 will start on September 8th (note the Tuesday start date).

Things kick off for Act 3 with some dialogue between the kids of Springfield Elementary and Milhouse…

Lewis Clark: Hi, Milhouse. Can I come to your birthday party this weekend?
Milhouse: Sherri and Terri got the last two spaces.
Lewis Clark: But they’re in line behind me.
Milhouse: They made their reservation using the Milhouse Birthday Attendance App.
Lewis Clark: Then why are they in line?
Sherri and Terri: Suspenders and a belt, fellah. Can’t take any chances on getting shut out.
Bart: Milhouse, didn’t you just have a birthday party? And why are you standing behind a maître d’s podium?
Milhouse: Pfft. That birthday party was pre-Annika. I’ve got so many requests to hang out now, I’ve had to schedule multiple birthday party “reenactments” through the end of the month. Lewis, would you take the late seating two weeks from Friday?
Lewis Clark: I guess I’ll have to.

This triggers the Act 3 questline, The Most Popular Girl in School, and is followed by 4hr tasks for Bart and Milhouse, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (105). The Most Popular Girl In School is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.

Your Help Is Needed – Hope is In Your Hands

I have made no attempt to hide the fact that the primary reason I still write for TSTO Addicts long after the game has gone into decline, is because of the work that this site does to support the Buyijja Village School in rural Uganda. It is one of those things that is “outside the box” of TSTO, and all about the community we have created here.

I have not done a fundraiser for the school since January, as like the rest of the world, conditions have been in an uncertain state since Covid-19 hit. But, recent developments have pushed us back into action, and we need your help.

The facts are simple. All of the amazing progress we have made in almost 6 years, with the more than 250 students in Buyijja and outlying villages that attend the school, has been halted, and the kids are now without any real alternatives for education. The government’s solution is “remote learning” using TVs and Radios to be distributed to villages. One small problem…most rural villages (including Buyijja) have no electricity or other modern conveniences. So…a different solution is required.

That is where YOU come in.

Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Real Life Celebrity, Week 7

It was six years ago, just after the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket was complete that I thought it might be cool to do a The Simpsons Tapped Out bracket. Here we are in the oddest of NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs of all times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it’s time for our sixth TSTO Addicts Bracket Battle!

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there have been A LOT of incredible guest stars appearing as themselves in the rich history of The Simpsons universe. A rare few of these (like Stephen Hawking and Weird Al) have made their way into our games. However, hundred are still not in our little game. There is so much in fact, that it was hard just to narrow it down to 64 entries to start with. I thought of making the Bracket Battle start with 128 entries, but we’d be battling well into fall. With that in mind, we present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Real Life Celebrity Bracket Battle.
