Level 35 and the Conform-O-Meter

I know I still owe everything the rest of the Conform-O-Meter break downs, but with the release of Levels 33, 34 & 35 so close together it’s been hard to get all of the info out to you in between updates.  I promise more details will be coming soon!  Today, however, I wanted to talk about Level 35’s impact on the Conform-O-Meter.

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

The Level 35 update has introduced 4 new buildings, 4 new characters, 3 new decorations & all new point amounts required to reach a 5-Star Springfield.  At Level 35 here’s what you’ll need to max out your Conform-O-Meter:

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
35    440    260     240/276
Righteousness Socialism
16945/27020        146     1344

Now I’m sure you’re wondering, ‘How will the new buildings/decorations help me max out?’  Well, here’s how:As you can see, Level 35 has increased the Indolence Rating requirement (+10, 1 more house), the Obedience Rating requirement (+10), the Tree-Hugging Rating requirement (+1,130), the Vanity Rating requirement (+1,600) & the Righteousness Rating requirement (+8).

Item Cost Category Points
Popsicle Stick Patty & Selma $8,300 Vanity 550
Popsicle Stick Disco Stu $8,300 Vanity 550
DMV Limo 50 Donuts Vanity 500
DMV $240,000 Obedience 10
Disco Stu’s 180 Donuts Obedience 10
Spinster City Apartments $391,500 Obedience* 10
Springfield Pet Shop 90 Donuts Obedience* 10

*The game files are showing both the Apartments and the Pet Shop as contributing to Obedience, however my own experience is that the Pet Shop did positively impact my Consumerism rating.  With the apartments I did notice my Indolence rating drop slightly when the game updated, and remained slightly dropped after the apartments were down.  So it is possible they do contribute to Obedience instead of Indolence (like Krabappel’s apartment & Springfield Retirement Castle).  Once I built 1 brown house my rating was back to 5 stars.

Let us know how your Conform-O-Meter rating is doing!  Are you maxed out?  If not, what area currently needs a boost?

Tapped Out Premium Walkthrough: Disco Stu

Yesterday Alissa went over the Pros and Cons of Buying Disco Stu in her, Should I Spend Donuts on Disco Stu Post & earlier today Bunny’s Disco Who???!!! post went over Disco Stu’s back story, and why he makes sense in Level 35 with Patty and Selma.  Let’s continue the Disco Stu theme with the premium walkthrough for Disco Stu…

Well you asked for him, and EA listened!  Level 35 has brought us Disco Stu! For 180 donuts he’s one of the more expensive premium characters (although he does come with his own building, Stu’s Disco). If you’re wondering if you should Spend Donuts on Disco Stu check out Alissa’s post.  For those who’ve already made the plunge into the world of Disco Stu here’s the complete (with dialogue) Walkthrough…

Should I Spend Donuts on Disco Stu?

Level 35 is here and with it comes a blast from the 70’s, Disco Stu!  I’m sure you’re asking “Should I Spend Donuts On This?”  Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding Stu to your Springfield.

Disco Stu
Donut Price: 180 donuts (Yowzer!)
-Comes with his own groovy quest line
-Several outdoor tasks, which is great because you can watch him boogie down!
-Comes with his own building, Stu’s Disco
-Will ride around your Springfield in roller-skates
-VOICED, with some REALLY funny sayings!

-Pricey.  At 180 donuts he’s one of the more expensive premium characters to come with a building.
-After his quest line he has no other interactions with other characters.
-Some of his lines can, and will, get on your nerves.  All the groovy comments might make you feel like you’re stuck in an episode of “The Brady Bunch”

Final Thought:
Personally I’m a fan of the Disco Stu addition to the game.  I like that he comes with a building, and I believe it’s the first nightclub building in Springfield.  Which just means EA is starting to, finally, branch out and give us some different building options in Springfield.  I do think 180 is a pretty steep price to pay for him, but if you can save your donuts (or wait for a Gil sale!) I think Disco Stu is a must buy!

Level 35: What We Know So Far

Level 35 was released just about 2.5 hours ago now!  And Nick is back at college and busy with classes during this update, so I’m going to attempt my best to do a “what we know so far” for Level 35!  That goodness I can look back at his older posts!

Here’s what we know about Level 35 so far:
level 35 gil gunderson
-As you can see from the Level 35 Level Up! Message, our pal ol’ Gil gets the honors this time and leveling up comes with 2 donuts!  Level 34 also came with 2 donuts, so this is a change in EA’s usual pattern of 1-2 donuts on Level Ups! Continue reading “Level 35: What We Know So Far”
