Where did THAT come from – Springfield Museum of Natural History

Well hello there all you classy tappers and tappettes!

As if the Halloween Update wasn’t enough to keep us busy, EA heard the groans of boredom from some and dropped Level 36 into the mix.  Still think they don’t listen to the consumers?

In the mix of 36 (rhymed intentionally), came some really cool new stuff.  One item though that apparently isn’t too popular is the Springfield Museum of Natural History.  I personally love this building because I am a huge history buff.  Some day, I hope to teach history in my real life.  For now, I’ll stick with finding the “history” behind the cool new stuff we keep on getting.

Should I Spend Donuts on the Springfield Museum of Natural History?

Level 36 is here (woohoo!) and with it comes the Springfield Museum of Natural History, a new premium building for your town.  I’m sure you’re asking “Should I Spend Donuts on This?”….well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding the Museum to your Springfield.

Building Name:
Springfield Museum of Natural History
Donut Price:
100 Donuts
Payout:
$500 & 45XP every 24hrs
Dimensions:  13×8
Conform-O-Meter Points:
Indolence +10
Pros:

-Looks nice.  Good fit in a downtown area with the Springfield Wax Museum & the Knowledgeum
-Pays out a decent rate of $500 every 24hrs.
-Will add to your Indolence rating, so you don’t have to house farm to max out your rating.
Cons:
-It’s a big building, will take up a lot of precious land.
-No quest unlocks with it.
-No Characters use it
Final:
This is one of those buildings I would tell you to pass on, unless you have an abundance of donuts.  While it looks cool it really doesn’t provide much value to your Springfield.  I would save your donuts for a different building or character.   So unless you’re a completest, or you’ve already purchased everything else, save your donuts on this one tappers!

Level 36 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

I know I still owe everyone how the Halloween item impact the Conform-O-Meter, and that post is coming soon I PROMISE!  However, with the release of Level 36 many of the requirements to maintain 5 Stars on your Conform-O-Meter have changed, so I want to make sure I get this information out to my favorite Addicts ASAP!  So you can all maintain those 5-Star towns!

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

The Level 36 update has introduced 2 new buildings, 2 new characters, 1 new decoration & all new point amounts required to reach a 5-Star Springfield.  At Level 36 here’s what you’ll need to max out your Conform-O-Meter:

Level Indolence Obedience Consumerism/
    Gluttony
36     450      260       252/276
Tree-hugging
     /Vanity
Righteousness Socialism
18,115/28,670          157     1,434

As you can see, Level 36 has increased the Indolence Rating requirement (+10, 1 more house), the Consumerism Rating requirement (+12, 1.2 new stores), the Tree-Hugging Rating requirement (+1,170), the Vanity Rating requirement (+1,650), the Righteousness Rating requirement (+8) and the Socialism Rating requirement (+90).  The Gluttony & Obedience Ratings remain the same with no increase.

Now I’m sure you’re wondering, ‘How will the new buildings/decorations help me max out?’  Well, here’s how:

Item Cost Category Points
Stolen Bumper Car $760 Vanity 150
Noise Land Video Arcade $247,500 Consumerism 10
Springfield Museum of Natural History 100 Donuts Indolence 10

Let us know how your Conform-O-Meter rating is doing!  Are you maxed out?  If not, what area currently needs a boost?
