Tapped Out Up-Dates

We originally ran this post back on August 28th and we’ve been updating it as we go.  However, with a recent increase in questions from you guys about when each update hit…and so you can do your own tracking and analyzing….we’ve decided to repost this.  This way you guys can make your own judgement about whether or not EA is releasing new content the same way they’ve done in the past or not.

With so much talk and anticipation coming up more and more for the next TSTO game update we decided it’d be fun to go back and review all of the release dates of previous TSTO updates to try and see if we can guess when the next update will arrive. While there truly is no way to know exactly what day and time the next update will appear in the game, it’s still fun to speculate.

The Van Houten 2020 Multi-Event was Update #197 to The Simpsons Tapped Out (although EA says it’s #201 🤷‍♀️). Here’s the complete list of each update and its release date:

Where did THAT come from – Bachelor Arms

Hey hey hey Addicterinos!

No more mist, no more ghoulies, goo, gremlins or haunted buildings!  Who knew there was so much money to collect in your town, right?  The vandals are back to spray paint your useless, errr, I mean non-money earning buildings (well… some of them) and Level 37 is here.  It’s officially Milhouse Day!

Level 37 already seems like a pretty swell update to the game and as further proof that EA loves us, we got another female character (150 for a character/building ain’t too shabby, eh?) who just happens to be the better half of Milhouse’s parents.  For free (my favorite number by the way), we also got Mr. Van Houton with his apartment building but where the heck does THAT come from?

Where did THAT come from – Springfield Museum of Natural History

Well hello there all you classy tappers and tappettes!

As if the Halloween Update wasn’t enough to keep us busy, EA heard the groans of boredom from some and dropped Level 36 into the mix.  Still think they don’t listen to the consumers?

In the mix of 36 (rhymed intentionally), came some really cool new stuff.  One item though that apparently isn’t too popular is the Springfield Museum of Natural History.  I personally love this building because I am a huge history buff.  Some day, I hope to teach history in my real life.  For now, I’ll stick with finding the “history” behind the cool new stuff we keep on getting.

Weekend Update: September 15th-21st

Happy Weekend Everyone!  As always it’s been a busy week here at Addicts & if you’ve missed any of the great posts this week, here’s your chance to catch up!

-Last weekend we celebrated our 1 month anniversary of TSTOAddicts and thanked our AMAZING readers and supporters.  If you missed our Thank You Post you can find it here.

-We also introduced a new column here at TSTO Addicts, You Might Be An Addict.  You can check out that hilarious post here.

-Last Sunday saw many Tappers without access to Tapped Out, as EA was doing server maintenance.  So naturally the Addicts Team had you  covered all week with complete coverage of the game being down, and what you can do about it.  You can check out information about the server being out last Sunday here, what to do if your game is telling you to create a new account here, and what to do if you’re asked “Is This Your Springfield” and it’s not here

-On Monday we had our weekly poll question, asking you if Patty and Selma were worth the wait.  Well the results are in and almost 50% of you said you have no real opinion you just love Tapped Out!  In second place was Yes!  It was exactly what you wanted & in 3rd place was Yes!  Nothing like you expected but you love it anyway.  You can check out the full poll results here

-Bunny was a busy 2D artist this week when she announced the winners of her Sideshow Bob challenge.  She also reveled the 2D prize she created for Mags here

-Wookiee also had his amazing 2D talents on display this week with another 2D How To, this time it broke down El Barto for aspiring 2D Artists.  He also reveled his 2D created for Laura Mac, who won his 2D Challenge from last week.  You can check out Wookiee’s Yoda here

-Of course we added some more info about Level 35.  Including: How Level 35 Impacts the Conform-O-Meter, If you should spend donuts on the DMV Limo, and just where the DMV limo comes from (and what you can do with it too!).

-We also broke down the details on how to maximize your Indolence rating on your Conform-O-Meter

-Bunny had class in session for 3D Thursday breaking down the basics in building a 3D structure for your town.  You can check out her 3D How to here

-Friday saw another bi-monthly meeting of TSTO Anonymous with group leader Wookiee.  Check out how he has no social life here!

-Of course we were hard at work on some of the basics too.  We’ve added several new walkthroughs to our Walkthrough Page and completely updated  our Ultimate Premium Guide!

Weekend Update: September 8th-14th, 2013

What a week’s it’s been at Addicts! Lots of big things happened around here this past week, and in case you missed anything from the Addicts team this past week, here’s your chance to catch up!

-Just as many tappers were concluding the Level 34 quests, and watching Super-Nintendo Chamlers catch some DINNNEERRRR!!!!, Level 35 was released! Included in the new update were the highly desired Patty and Selma Bouvier, Selma’s beloved Jub-Jub, the Spinster City Apartments, Springfield Pet Shop, and the one and only Disco Stu & Stu’s Disco!

-When Level 35 hit the Addicts team had it covered! Wookiee helped us all figure out What in the world a Jub-Jub is! As well as breaking down Gil Gunderson and his Level Up! Message, in The. Best. GIL Deal. Ever! The one and only Bunny Dud broke down Disco Stu and his connection to Patty & Selma in her post Disco Who??!!

-Level 35 Walkthroughs have been posted! You can check out the Level 35 Main Quest Part 1 and Part 2 here, or you can visit the Walkthroughs page for complete Tapped Out Walkthrough guides! Part 3, the final part, will be coming later today!

-Disco Stu boogied into Springfield, and our hearts, this week. You can find his complete walkthrough here.

-With all new levels comes new premium items. This week we broke down if Disco Stu & Jub-Jub are worth your donuts!

Of course this week hasn’t just been all about Level 35 here at Addicts. We’ve been busy little Tappers this week and brought you so many other great posts as well…..

-Last Sunday we showed you how some good tips for redesigning your Springfield with the post Springfield of Tomorrow; Build a Better Springfield. And of course Bunnydud got our week started right with her funny post about how her addiction truly is costing her everything in TSTO! (Oh and there’s a great Sideshow Bob 2D in there as well!)

-On Monday we asked you what do you think will be coming first, the Halloween event or Level 34. Well 61.25% of you got it right in saying Level 35! (For the record 61.25% said Level 35, 18.8% said Level 35 & Halloween Event as 1 update, 11.28% said something else & bringing up the rear only 8.27% of you thought the Halloween Event would come first. Thanks for voting!).

-This week we also did a little more Conform-O-Meter uncovering and showed you how to maximize your Consumerism Rating as well as your Righteousness Rating!

-On 2D Tuesday Bunnydud showed us all why Mr. Sparkle was the right choice for “lucky best wash”, with her great Mr. Sparkle 2D. She was also back on 3D Thursday, holding classes, with a 3D 101/Basics post, all about creating 3D art in your town!

-On September 11th the Addicts Remembered September 11th, 2001 and gave a special thanks to all of our brave service men and woman fighting around the world.

-Halloween was another hot topic this week! Both Wookiee and Bunnydud showed us their Halloween 2D creations, Wookiee posted about Snorky the killer dolphin & Bunnydud posted about her Nightmare Before Christmas creation!

-On Friday Wookiee told us just what he wanted in his WAWW post, telling EA to introduce Mr. Teeny as a playable character in TSTO! Wookiee also went a little crazy on Friday the 13th in his Go Crazy? Don’t mind if I do!!! post. Where he broke down more Halloween goodies for fans of TSTO and The Simpsons!

-Speaking of crazy….the Addicts went a little crazy this week as well with our Spooky 2D Contest! We’re giving away up to $45 in FREE DONUTS!!! (in the form of iTunes/Google Play Store gift cards) To enter just create your very own Halloween themed 2D creation and post a picture on the contest post. If you haven’t read about it yet check out the picture on the sidebar to the right. This will give you all of the official rules of the contest.

Weekend Update: August 31st- September 6th 2013

Happy Weekend Tappers!

It’s been just over a week now since Level 34 hit our devices. Tappers who started right away should be just about finishing up the Chalmers quest line and tappers who started the quest a little bit late might be smack dab in the middle of the Level. Either way, if you’ve been busy tapping away this week here’s your chance to catch up on what you’ve might have missed here at Addicts!

-Last weekend Wookiee helped Tappers discover the lost ride at Krustyland, Krusty’s Broken Koaster Kars. You can check out how to make Krusty’s Kars in your Krustyland here.

-This past week Wookiee and Nick took a deeper look at a couple of the new decorations level 3 brought tappers, starting with Nick’s look at the World’s Largest Zircona and it’s connection to The Simpsons. Then Wookiee took a closer look at Chalmer’s _onda, the newest car to join the Tapped Out World!

-Alissa started to break down the basics of the Conform-o-meter in your Springfield. You can find the basics here and how many points you’ll need to max out the meter here.

-We also took a look at some issues you may be having with TSTO in Losing your Jebidiah Springfield Statue and your game resetting back to level one!

-EA made a couple of updates and announcements this week as well. They released a minor iOS update earlier this week and announced that all tappers should be creating a Origin ID, or risk losing your Springfield forever!

-This past week also brought new updates to our Walkthroughs page, focusing on Level 23 and Bumblebee Man. Of course if you missed any of our level 34 updates you can find them on our Walkthroughs page as well

-In his “Are You Ready For Some Football” Nick made the connection between The Simpsons and football, in anticipation of the start of the NFL football season here in the US.

-Nick also took us back in time to 1999 as he uncovered the history behind Tomacco!

-Bunny Nerded out on us this week, in her Nerd Alert post, going over the finer technical details of things like Blue Stacks and Jail Breaking!

-As always there was certainly no shortage of 2D and 3D posts this week. Bunny took a look at 2D vs 3D and Wookiee announced a Wookiee’s 2D Challenge (be sure to get your designs in by Monday night!)!

-Finally, Friday saw the first meeting of TSTO Anonymous with group leader Wookiee! And Wookiee also took a look at what the Halloween update might look like!

It has been a week here at Addicts, full of great posts filled with humor and packed with information! Here’s to the week ahead Tappers, and here’s hoping we’ll see a Halloween Event this week!

Tapped Out Update for iOS

Hello Tappers!

Just like Android had one a couple of weeks ago, EA has released an update for Tapped Out for iOS users only.  Nothing visibly different, as far as the external display on the game, so most likely this is just an update on the files of the game.  
Could be fixing a glitch or two or it could be prep for an upcoming event or update.  Either way if you’re playing Tapped out on iOS be sure to go to iTunes and update your game!

Weekend Update

Happy Weekend Tappers!

It’s been just over a week now since Level 33 hit our devices. Some of you might be right in the middle of the Level (after all it does take about 11 days with out Donuts) and others might be finished with Level 33, donut users like me (I like to think we keep EA in business with our donut buying), and hungry for more. Addicts was designed for tappers on both end of the donut world, and everyone in-between, and (I hope) our posts reflect it.
