Black History Month Act 4 Is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s officially after 10am here on the East Coast, and that means Act 4 of the Black History Event is live in Springfield!

Things kick off for Act 4 with some dialogue between Lou, Quimby, Wiggum, and Grampa…among others:

Quimby: Officer Lou, please accept this medal of honor… or bravery… or something. I can’t read the font.
Wiggum: Hey, I was there too!
Quimby: Here is a coupon for five percent off all kazoos at King Toot’s.
Wiggum: *impressed noise*
Quimby: Well, we’ve honored our hero for Black History Month. My job here is done. I’m going to Cabo.
Grampa: Hold it right there! I happen to know a great Black Springfieldian who deserves to be honored.
Quimby: For the last time, Disco Stu is not black. I believe he is Armenian.
Grampa: I’m talking about my ancestor, Virgil Simpson, ya idjit!
Homer: Sorry. He’s a little senile. I assure you, no Simpson ever did anything great.
Grampa: He invented an old timey pastry called wheel cakes, or as we know them today – donuts!
Homer: *gasp* Everyone shut up and listen to the story of the greatest man who ever lived!

This triggers the Act 4 questline, From the Mouth of Abes, and is followed by 4hr task for everyone to listen to Grampa, as well as a task to collect Act 4 Currency (350).  From the Mouths of Abes is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of the Act 4 prizes.

Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 4…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Gather ’round the tapping device everyone, it’s update time in TSTO!  This time around we’re celebrating Black History Month!   Of course, a new event gives EA an excuse to stock our stores with returning premium content, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

Wondering if you should add the returning Original Brown House or Springfield University to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

Black History Month Act 2 Is Live!

Update: Hibbert’s Dad will earn Act 2 currency as well!  Increasing your max currency payout to 71/4hrs.  I’ve updated the post below to reflect.  Special thanks to Angus Lee in the comments for pointing this out to me!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s officially 10am here on the East Coast, and that means Act 2 of the Black History Event is live in Springfield!

Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between Carl and Bart…

Carl: Bart, you want to do your Black History Month report on me? But why?
Bart: You’re the black person I most admire.
Carl: Really?
Bart: Totally! You’ve saved my dad’s life a million times by turning him on his side when he was passed out.
Carl: Are you sure there isn’t someone you admire more? Thurgood Marshall? Nelson Mandela? The cool bad guy from Black Panther?
Bart: Those guys are great, but I don’t want to research. So let’s do this thing already! I’m brokering a fireworks deal with Nelson in half an hour.
Carl: Eh, why not? But I can’t tell the story of my life without talking about the guy who got me here. My deadbeat dad, Carl Sr. The spelunker, excavator, and hyper-capitalist founder of the Carl’s Dad Caverns.

This triggers the Act 2 questline,Fair-Weather Father, and is followed by 4hr tasks for Carl, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (350).  Fair-Weather Father is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of the Act 2 prizes.

Martin Confusion

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Still playing a giant game of catch-up (anyone have the mustard?) between both work and this site.  This was the first time I’ve taken a week off in February, ever.  And while it was great for travel (Disney crowd level was great), it apparently was bad for work (busy season)!  So I’m plugging away trying to get caught up on both.

I’ll get there…eventually.

Anyway, something I wanted to address that I’m seeing several times in the comments.  Martin and the prize track….
