Should I Spend Donuts on the Pet Cemetery?

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Pet Cemetery to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this to your Springfield.

Decoration:
 Pet Cemetery
Donut Price: 70 Donuts
Unique?: Yes
Pros:
-A great addition to the Springfield Cemetery with many lil details.
-Animation…Zombies cat paws popping out to reach up and grab you. Meowing/growling cats sound when tapped.
-Limited-Time decoration.  Great for new tappers and Android players who
couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
-During the Halloween 2013 event, it will generate more ghosts for you to pop which means more Goo. 8 ghosts every 10 hours.
Cons:
-Mainly for an event.
-Does not come with unlock quests
-A large footprint. 8×10
Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one is definitely worth it. 70 donuts may seem like a lot for a special event item, but much like the Springfield Cemetery, during the event it brings more Goo which in turn can lead to more free items. Once you hit that 10,000 Goo, it will help to hit those Spooktacular Bonus levels to try for 1-3 donuts too. When the Halloween event is over, it will add to the look of your Springfield as well as continue to generate in game cash.  So, myself, I would say if you have the donuts to spend. Go for it.

Should I Spend Donuts on Booberella?

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Booberella to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding her to your Springfield.

booberella_menu
Character:
Booberella
Donut Price: 100 Donuts
Unique?: Yes
Pros:
-Another female character for your game
-Earns 50% more XP and cash on all tasks.
-Comes with her own questline
-Amusing outdoor animations
Cons:
-Kind of expensive. 100 donuts isn’t as crazy high as the Ray Gun or some other premium items, but it’s still on the
high side for a character that does not come with a building.
-After initial quest she has no real interaction with any other characters.
-The character itself might offend some people. Between the way she’s dressed and some of her tasks (burned at
the stake), some people could be offended by them.
Final Thought:
To me Booberella is a must buy. She’s another female character in the game, she does have her own questline & 100 donuts isn’t the worst price in the world. Plus her tasks make me laugh, and sometimes you just can’t put a price on humor.

Booberlla’s Tasks:

Task Time Payout Location
Milk Cletus Cow 1hr $105, XP 26 Cletus’s Farm
Work at The Dungeon 2hrs $175, XP 40 Android’s Dungeon
Host a Children’s Show 4hrs $260, XP 70 Channel 6
Sell Peanuts From Her Street Cart 8hrs $420, XP 105 Peanut Cart
Burn at the Stake 12hrs $600, XP 150 Outside
Serve Time for Unlicensed Peanut Vending 24hrs $1000, XP 225 Springfield Penitentiary

– The biggest news of the week?  We FINALLY announced our 2D Contest Winners!

-Two new community prizes dropped this week!  The Clawing Zombie unlocked last Saturday night and the Ghost Bomb “dropped” 2 days later!   Don’t forget you can find more Ghost Bomb’s hidden in Ghosts and Haunted Buildings (like Donuts and Gremlins!)

-On Monday, Bunny provided us with some insight, as only Bunny could, on just what the heck is floating around in the water of Springfield!

-2D Tuesday saw a great break from Halloween (minus the mist) with a great Fat Tony 2D.

-In Am I Possessed, Bunny helped break down which characters get possessed and how they end up possessed.

-Of course it wouldn’t be TSTO Addicts with out another TSTO Addicts Anonymous Post by the one, the only, Wookiee!  In Won’t You Be My Enabler, Wookiee took a look at the co-dependency of Tapped Out.

-On Thursday we asked you just where you put your Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop, in our post You Put the Fortune Teller Shop Where?!

-We’ve also been on top of all of the glitches as they happened, with updates from EA as we get them.  The best news of all this week?  Wookiee FINALLY got back his missing Homer!

-And finally…we’ve had AMAZING Halloween Update coverage throughout the week!  While it’s a bit much to post every last post here…if you check out our 2013 Halloween Page you’ll find every single post we’ve done in relation to the Halloween update!  So if you’re stuck on a part of the update or just need some tips on capturing more GOO, check out our Halloween Page for all of the details!

Should I Spend Donuts on the Mausoleum?

Wondering if you should add the Mausoleum to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this to your Springfield.

mausoleum_menu
Decoration: Mausoleum
Donut Price: 60 Donuts
Unique?: No
Earns: 5 Ghosts every 8hrs (after Halloween it will earn you Cash)
Pros:
-Fairly small, won’t take up much space in your Springfield
-Every 8hrs it unlocks 5 extra Ghosts to pop (translates to more GOO)
-After Halloween it will still earn you cash & XP
-Can complete the “Graveyard” design if you purchased the cemeteries.
Cons:
-Expensive. 60 donuts is a bit much to pay for something that will only release 5 ghosts every 8hrs.
-A little creepy looking, might not fit into everyone’s Springfield
-After Halloween, while it will still earn you cash and XP, there’s really no other use for it.
Final Thought:
This one, at least to me, is a toss-up. In my opinion it’s a bit much to pay for 5 ghosts every 8 hrs, but it does add a nice look to the cemeteries. This is something I would say that if you’re going to buy, buy now. Try to get as much use out of the 5 ghosts/8hrs as you can.

Should I Spend Donuts on The Talking Krusty Doll?

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! talkingkrustydoll
Character:
 Talking Krusty Doll
Donut Price: 60 Donuts
Unique?: Yes
Pros:
-Creepy lil Clown wobbling all over your town
-Animation when tapped…lil hearts flow up and pop when you tap on him as he says, “I’m Krusty the Clown, and I love you very much.” Or a knife comes out.
-Limited-Time characters.  Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
Cons:
-No tasks at all
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield
Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one is just too steep for me. 60 donuts for a lil character to walk around just doesn’t seem like a good buy.  It doesn’t really give you any “in game value”, other than something funny to look at and tap on.  So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters or you’re a completest, I’d pass on this one and save your donuts.

Final Thought:
Don’t buy this one fellow Addicts! Save your donuts for something better. This is something you can get for free
just for collecting GOO, so why spend your precious donuts on another one?

You Put the Fortune Teller Shop Where?!?!

Hey Howdy Hey Addicts!

One of the decorations you unlock during the Halloween main quest (Ghost in the Machine-based App) is the Gypsy Fortune Teller Shop.  At just $2,000 (what a welcomed price tag!) it’s placed in part 1 of main quest.  What I want to know is where you put it and what you’ve done with it?

Here’s one from Alissa:

Here’s one from a neighbor:

Character:
 Burns Monster
Donut Price: 25 Donuts
Unique?: Yes

Pros:
-A lil green head and body that resembles some kind of hybrid between Mr. Burns and a Frog.
-Animation when tapped…he opens his mouth wide and lashes his tongue out at you. You can see it in action at the bottom of this post.
-Limited-Time characters.  Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.

Cons:
-No tasks at all
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield

Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one isn’t worth it. 25 donuts isn’t that much, but for a character (that I find kinda boring) to walk around just doesn’t seem like a good buy.  It doesn’t really give you any “in game value”, other than something funny to look at and tap on.  So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters or you’re a completest, I’d pass on this one and save your donuts.

Should I Spend Donuts on The Bad Dream House

With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. baddreamhouse
Building:
 Bad Dream House
Donut Price: 85 Donuts
Unique?: Yes
Pros:
-A larger item full of many details
-Adds +10 Indolence
-Animation…for the Halloween 2013 event, flashing lights through windows all
over house. There is also a sound when tapped that sounds like the house is breaking apart.
-Limited-Time building.  Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
Cons:
-Mainly for an event.
-Does not come with unlock quests
-A fairly large footprint. 9×9
Final Thought:
For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one is worth it mainly for the design and look of the building. 85 donuts may seem like a lot for a special event item, however, it will add to the look of your Springfield and once the event is over, it will continue to generate in game cash for you.  So, myself, I would say unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters/buildings or you’re a completest, I would really wait on this one and save your donuts to decide towards the end of the event if you really want it.
