The holidays. Snow in Springfield, Homer Santa flying overhead, Christmas Lights that don’t light up because the Brown Trash Wookiee never took them down. You feel the spirit, right? Reminds me of a place where a sadistic man with government experience can feel right at home. No, not the DMV sillys, my home. Where else would I go to write stuff for you dear reader?
With Christmas, Kwanzaa, Solstice, etc. right around the corner and Hannukah already blazing away, I thought I’d go back and talk about a character EA brought to the game during the 2012 Holiday Event. Like Homer, I’m just a big kid and also love Christmas so much. Without further ado, the one, the only, the non-homework eating Santa’s Little Helper aka SLH for acronym-loving tappers.
Time to take another Turbo Tappin’ look at a questline from the Level 37 update, Luann Van Houten. While Luann appeared in the game with the Level 37 update, you don’t actually have to wait until Level 37 to purchase her. In fact she can be purchased once you’ve unlocked Milhouse (Level 7)! Now, let’s turbo tap Luann! Continue reading →
With all of the Halloween premium items that are limited-time it may be overwhelming trying to decide which items to buy and what to pass on. With that limited-time label on items I know it can be tempting to just buy everything you can. But, have no fear! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth your donuts & what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Booberella to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding her to your Springfield.
Character: Booberella Donut Price: 100 Donuts Unique?: Yes Pros:
-Another female character for your game
-Earns 50% more XP and cash on all tasks.
-Comes with her own questline
-Amusing outdoor animations Cons:
-Kind of expensive. 100 donuts isn’t as crazy high as the Ray Gun or some other premium items, but it’s still on the
high side for a character that does not come with a building.
-After initial quest she has no real interaction with any other characters.
-The character itself might offend some people. Between the way she’s dressed and some of her tasks (burned at
the stake), some people could be offended by them. Final Thought:
To me Booberella is a must buy. She’s another female character in the game, she does have her own questline & 100 donuts isn’t the worst price in the world. Plus her tasks make me laugh, and sometimes you just can’t put a price on humor.

Wondering if you should add the Talking Krusty Doll to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this lil clown to your Springfield.
Character: Talking Krusty Doll Donut Price: 60 Donuts Unique?: Yes Pros: -Creepy lil Clown wobbling all over your town
-Animation when tapped…lil hearts flow up and pop when you tap on him as he says, “I’m Krusty the Clown, and I love you very much.” Or a knife comes out.
-Limited-Time characters. Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android. Cons: -No tasks at all
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield Final Thought: For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one is just too steep for me. 60 donuts for a lil character to walk around just doesn’t seem like a good buy. It doesn’t really give you any “in game value”, other than something funny to look at and tap on. So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters or you’re a completest, I’d pass on this one and save your donuts.

Wondering if you should add the Burns Monster to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this to your Springfield.
Pros: -A lil green head and body that resembles some kind of hybrid between Mr. Burns and a Frog.
-Animation when tapped…he opens his mouth wide and lashes his tongue out at you. You can see it in action at the bottom of this post.
-Limited-Time characters. Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
Cons: -No tasks at all
-Does not come with unlock quests
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield
Final Thought: For those holding on tight to their precious donuts, I say this one isn’t worth it. 25 donuts isn’t that much, but for a character (that I find kinda boring) to walk around just doesn’t seem like a good buy. It doesn’t really give you any “in game value”, other than something funny to look at and tap on. So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters or you’re a completest, I’d pass on this one and save your donuts.

Wondering if you should add the Ray Gun & Kodos to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding this to your Springfield.
Decoration/Character: Ray Gun Donut Price: 150 Donuts Unique?: Yes Pros: -The ONLY way to unlock Kodos, you have to shoot him down.
-After you shoot him down he crashes into the Ray Gun & Frink gives you a new Ray Gun. So it’s two decorations & a character for the price of 1. Crashed UFO, Ray Gun & Kodos
-Limited-Time decoration. Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
-Kodos comes with his own questline once unlocked.
-Kodos has a permanent task with Kang (free with the Victorian UFO)
-Kodos premium character that pays out premium rates on all jobs.
Cons: -Expensive. At 150 donuts, this is one of the more expensive decoration/donut
combinations in the game.
-Kodos will not fly around anymore once you’ve shot him down. Therefore, you will not be able to shoot him down over and over with the Ray Gun.
-Pretty large. With both the Crashed UFO & the Ray Gun they’ll take up quite a bit of space in your Springfield. Final Thought: While 150 donuts is quite a big price tag for an item/character, I personally think Kodos is worth it. He’s a limited time character and a great addition to Springfield. Plus the Ray Gun & Crashed UFO make really great additions to Springfield! So if you can swing it, I say go for it! To me, he’s worth the investment. Kodos’s Tasks:

Wondering if you should add Devil Flanders to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding Devil Flanders to your Springfield.
Character: Devil Flanders Donut Price: 75 Unique?: Yes Pros:
-The only costume, I’m aware of, for Ned Flanders.
-Humorous Alter-ego for Flanders
-Great outdoor tasks -Limited-Time costume from last year that was brought back. Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
Cons: -No quest line with it. -For 75 donuts you’re not adding a new character or building, just a costume. -Does not earn premium rates on tasks
Final Thought: Honestly…if you can swing it, I say go for it. This is one of the more sought after items to the game, and the fact that EA has brought it back for this Halloween is AWESOME. At 75 donuts it’s not the worst item you can buy & some of his outdoor tasks are great!
See an annoying lill black bird hopping around a neighbor’s town? Kinda looks like Bart. Got one of your own? In this VERY long winded post (hold on tight), I will explain just where that lil bird came from.

Wondering if you should add the Raven to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding the the Raven to your Springfield.
Character: The Raven Donut Price: 30 Donuts Unique?: Yes
Pros:
-Reasonably priced
-Flys around when tapped
-Limited-Time character from last year that was brought back. Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
Cons: -No tasks are assigned for the Raven
-Does not come with an unlock quest
-No interaction with other characters and/or animals in Springfield
Final Thought: Personally I think you’re better off saving your donuts and passing on this one. The Raven really provides no benefit to your Springfield and aside from the entertainment value of his flight, has really no return for your invested donuts. So, unless you’ve already purchased all of the other premium characters or you’re a completest, I’d pass on this one and save your donuts.

Wondering if you should add the Cauldron to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button, let’s break down the Pros and Cons of adding the the Cauldron to your Springfield.
Decoration: Cauldron Donut Price: 75 Donuts Unique?: Yes, only 1 Cauldron per Springfield Bonus: 2.25% (bonus cash & XP to all tasks) Bonus % Per Donut Spent: 0.03% Pros: -It unlocks the Witch Marge Costume for Marge, with a whole new set of tasks that earn at a PREMIUM rate (50% more cash & XP) -Ability to speed up a crop -Limited-Time costume from last year that was brought back. Great for new tappers and Android players who couldn’t play TSTO last year because it wasn’t available on Android.
Cons: -No quest line with it. -For 75 donuts you’re not adding a new character or building, mainly just a costume and decoration.
Final Thought: Honestly…if you can swing it, I say go for it. This is one of the more sought after items to the game, and the fact that EA has brought it back for this Halloween is AWESOME. At 75 donuts it’s not the worst item you can buy. Plus you’ll earn a decent bonus percentage rate AND premium rates on her tasks.
