Time to grab toast as we travel back…wayyyy back…in time with Homer in the all new TTT (Time Travel Toaster) event! We’ve flashed forward from the land of Dinos to the era of pyramids, Pharaohs and Sphinxes…and of course we’ve got loads of Egyptian Era items in our Springfield just temping us with those sprinkles!

Popping in with something real quick…a few of you are reporting it appears that your Excavation Papyri payouts have decreased. I did a little digging around, and the base is still 36 Papyri (that change was made June 2nd) BUT it appears that somewhere along the lines the payouts have dropped when it gets to the multipliers.
My Panini Press is fully updated, which means I should have a 50% increase on my Papyri payouts…so it should be 54 each dig (50% more of 36), but instead I’m getting 47.
It appears that this is a bug of some sort. I don’t see any intentional changes in the files. The base is still 36 and the upgrade payouts still increase by 10% to 50%.
The bottom-line, you’re not going crazy. Something is going on, but it doesn’t appear to be an intentional change. Seems like it’s a bug and hopefully EA will correct it soon.
(Note: there was an update yesterday. That update increased the Excavation payouts for Specimen and Tachyons…did not touch the event currency payouts)

It’s time to Walk Like an Egyptian through time as the Time Travel Toaster has flashed us into the Egyptian Era! We’ve got roaming Pharaohs, Sarcophagus, Temples and Pyramids!
You can tell EA is trying to do a few things different with this event…for starters it’s a week shorter and there are more prize elements, but it’s really the Excavation Site that people are digging…see what I did there?
The Excavation Game has Tappers everywhere talking…about the best strategy, how many moves they can find the Gem in and apparently it’s become almost as addicting as this site !;)

Seeing the complaints in the comments about many of you missing out on the final Prehistoric Era prize, after a suggestion in the comments, I decided to do a quick wrap up poll to see who finished the prize track and if premium characters were involved…

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there are plenty of buildings in the rich history of The Simpsons universe still not in our little game. From Marge’s old house to the laundromat, from Moe’s apartment to Ned’s Praiseland, from taverns to café’s, inn’s to colleges, there is plenty of ‘untapped’ potential (pun intended). But which building do we really want?
We present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Building Bracket Battle. Like last year, we will create a Bracket of 64 beloved buildings we believe would bring a smile to your face, have great tasks, could make for an awesome event, or simply be a nice idea for a new Friends Point prize. Unlike last year though, you will have a huge say in what buildings make the cut.
We have selected 96 buildings organized into eight thematic conferences. We have chosen four to get automatic entries into the Bracket. However, your votes in the polls below will select which four buildings will join them in each conference. Those 64 buildings will then battle each other in six rounds of head-to-head match-ups, that we hope produces the most debate in the comments below. We’ll do our best to convince you of each buildings merits, but it’s
ultimately up to you.
Well…I feel partly responsible for the fact that lots of people didn’t complete the last era. I assumed that if you logged on every 4 hours, 3-4 times a day, you’d get it all. But, you know that they say about the word, “Assume” right? (Makes and Ass-out of U and Me). But, then again, even I didn’t finish in time (was still 12K off when it flipped), so I was one of the “victims” of Freemium Players who didn’t “get it all” and am wondering if we will be able to get everything this “era.”
So far…so good…I’m on track so far after a day. BUT, let’s not forget that EA changed the payouts in the middle of the Era (bastids!)…so who knows? All we can do is try...right?
Let’s see what we have to do to keep up…
