Hey Addicts!
An update has appeared in the App Store. First word is this may be the lag and lock out fix we’ve all been waiting for. We’re checking out the files right now and will update the post as we have more info. Please let us know if you’re seeing improved gameplay and/or can finally get back to tapping for those locked out.

Awww. Have you tried some basic troubleshooting to see if that helps?
no ma’am, don’t have the basic troubleshooting skills like your self but the 20 donuts should help ease the pain…. lol so glad for this app, hearing from other addicts helps!! (And I thought I was the only person that plays this game almost none stop) ;;)

In the meantime, watch your decoration count. Once you start teetering around that 4500 mark, the game will start to slow and have glitches more.
I play on galaxy s3 and I’m very excited to say that my game is running smooth! Sigh of relief. Now it’s much more fun to play and I can pop in and check on it during break at work. Before it was rough with all the lagging, logging out or just not being able to log in. I think EA finally nailed it.

Hallelujah!!! Game is finally back!! Didn’t realize how much I missed my Springfield until I went without it for a couple weeks lol lol. Sad I missed fit Milhouse, I will ask EA about it though.

I’m still on lock out after this update. EA are looking into my account, but i’m not very hopeful. I’ve got several Apple devices, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, new iPad, iPad mini, older iPad and even tried a Samsung Galaxy S4. None of these devices work, even tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. My daughter can get into her account with no problems on all the above devices with no problems. But i have bought every piece of land and water, i have nearly every character and building, i have quite a bit of 3D art. So maybe this is why i’m locked out.
I hope EA can sort my account soon, they have replied to me several times and say that they will escalate my issue to a higher department. Fingers crossed that I will be back tapping soon. Angela 🙂
Hang in there. They’ll get it done. Just look at my situation. Lol. Wookiee maxed his decoration limit and was locked out a while too last year. They got him back up and running after tweaking his game a bit. Just gotta watch those warnings. 😉

Thanks to my fantastic neighbors who didn’t drop me while I was locked out. I only lost a couple of neighbors, and I retuned to the game to find neighbor requests waiting from several names I recognize from this blog. Thanks so much, and thanks to this freaking awesome blog! Special thanks to Bunny for her efforts on my behalf. I still don’t have the content from the recent episode tie-in — Fit Milhouse, Macaroni Shed, etc. — but at least I can play while I ask EA to give me the content I missed while I was locked out of the game. Without this blog, I definitely would have given up on TSTO. You guys are the bomb diggity! (Yes, I do realize I just outed myself as a forty-something mom)

Has anyone who was locked out received the fit Milhouse? EA can see it in my inventory but I can’t. :/
You looked all over in your lil brown cardboard box in the lower left corner? It is usually the very LAST item in the inventory list…so you gotta scroll all the way to the end. (Make sure it says inventory. If it says building or decoration…you are in the main menu and NOT inventory.) 😉
The 4.8.3 update seems to have worked for me! 🙂 I was one of the lockouts 🙁

Still have 1 neighbor who is MIA, MrsMLKnight. Haven’t seen her post here lately either. She is a TSTOA, so I just wondered if anyone knew anything. I’ve got 1 other neighbor I’m not visiting, but she did a 2D saying gone til 6-8, so I’ve been just letting her be.

Count me in as a Happy Tapper! While I’ve still had a couple laggy moments in my A game (Le Pan ii), visiting neighbors was also smooth as buddah since today’s update! Even those with Jam packed towns that were a bit laggy BEFORE the end of Easter. Almost felt “off” sailing through so fast, ha ha!

I was surprised that the game was finally patched and Everything is back to normal, and I’ve had lots of visitors making up for lost time.
Also went outtoday to get 40$ worth of itunes cards and spent half on Doughnuts to get the Shed and Duff Yacht.

I always get apple app itunes cards at Bj’s, 40$ worth court about 37$ :). All their cards are always a few dollars off full price.
All their cards are always less, but you need to join up for a year, it’s like Costco/Price Club, but I don’t know if those places sell cards discounted.
I knows SAM’s has the discount iTunes cards. Target also sometimes gives 5% off. I know Costco doesn’t have them.
I subscribe to Dealmac.com with an alert for iTunes cards. I see 15% off frequently, 20% off with some regularity, and once 25% off. Picked up $200 of iTunes cards for $150! Almost always mail order (sometimes pick up at Best Buy), but always free shipping.
The current deal is a $50 card for 15% off (until 5/24). That would be $42.50 with free shipping I believe (limit 2).

Yesssss! After update n reboot on iphone4-the smooooveness is back!! My npc’s are free to roam once again! Makes u wonder what the bug was? EA hanging around with the NSA?!?!
Just got the update but my game does not plat th background music anymore! 🙁 Is this happening to other tappers and should I contact EA?
I have tried basic troubleshooting.
I haven’t heard of this one yet. Certainly can not hurt to let EA know. Is this the only issue you’re having?
Running smooth in Cyberville, plus can now access my two locked out friends: CXonor13 and Pickles210p (who both had posted comments about being locked out😊).🎉
Woo hoo! I’m so happy for my neighbor that hasn’t been able to get in since the end of Easter!!! Downloaded the patch and finally got to show them some much needed TLC!!!! I had forgotten just how awesome their town was ^_^ this patch seems to have worked wonders! ^_^
iPad is so smooth! Best update ever!
I was so surprised when it loaded after the update. I was all, wait what’s happening…. Then I realized. Cleared all those handshakes and graffiti finally! Thanks to all the neighbors who stuck with me. I’ll be making up for lost visits later tonight. I still have an open case number with EA. Trying to see if there’s a way I can get fit Milhouse.

My Springfield runs as smooth as a silky chocolate ganache. Now i can FINALLY visit my neighboreenos again.
Update: My Springfield works great, but the game still crashes when I try and visit my friends. My EA ticket is still open. This squeaky wheel WILL get the grease.
For me there’s really no lagging but I get kicked out occasionally, and when I tap my houses when there ready the wrong house gives out money, like I have mine in rows so when I tap houses in row 1 money comes out of a house on row 2 as if I tapped on it but I didn’t, other than that, the game is getting smoother.
Thanks for letting us know!! iPad works smooth as butter again!! My hubby’s iPhone 5 is fixed and my iPhone 5s never had issues which was weird! My daughter was locked out on her iPod and we updated it and she can back in the game!!! Yay!! This makes us all so happy!

Yes, turbo scrolling is now possible in neighbours towns that have lots of animation and it’s as smooth as it’s ever been. Using an iPad Air with iOS 7.1.1.
Plus, 2 random donuts so far today and 3 yesterday. Life is good! Thanks for the heads-up Wookie.

Me too. While not locked out, I had been experiencing pretty bad lag. It was to the point where I split my neighbour visits into three different times of the day, rather than just all at once. As well, instead of sending my characters on 15 1hr tasks and an 8hr task overnight each day, I was doing 2 1hr tasks, 2 4hr tasks and a 12hr task overnight, which significantly reduced my daily income (especially in Krustyland tickets). Now I can go back to the good old ways. Woohoo!!!
Great news! Hoping this fixes the problems for ALL the Mapple tappers.

Thanks, while I have just one tile of land left to purchase in Krustyland, I still need to buy A LOT LOT LOT of trees, shrubs, and flowers to complete my vision. I’ve been spending the maximum amount of time in Krustyland, but Cool Lisa has taken Lisa out the past few days. And she’s taken Bart with her for quite awhile. Plus Marge was with Bernice for a few hours today.
Oh yeah. This fix was amazing!
My B game (on an old iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1) is now back. I had almost given up on using it ever again. Scrolling like a pro (or a Bunny or a Wookie) again now! 🙂
