The not so secret society of the Stonecutters are here at last! Anyone else have the Stonecutter’s song stuck in their head?! And naturally with any new event there are LOADS of questions that come with it…..especially for one this intricate!
I’ve been noticing a few questions popping up in the comments of some posts and, while we try to answer each one individually, I thought everyone could benefit from the answers to these questions. So it’s time for another addition of Addicts Question Corner….
Where’s the Nighthawk Diner? I thought that was going to be in this update? You said it would be!
First off…we NEVER posted (check any and all of our posts) that Nighthawk would be making a comeback in this update. Just about every other TSTO site posted it would, but we didn’t. And there’s a reason for it….the same reason why we don’t post spoilers (unless EA releases them). You can see SO many things in the files & never know how it’s going to hit the game, until it hits the game. For example…Satan’s Anvil has been in the game files FOREVER and is just now hitting our games. For that reason, we don’t post things until we can verify them in the game because we don’t want to mislead you guys.
Here’s the deal with the Diner…..it’s not in the game for purchase again. Not yet anyway. Right now if you didn’t unlock Rex and the Diner last year during the July 4th Event you can’t get them. That’s not to say they might not appear in the game at some point during the Stonecutters Event…they could very well show up at the end (July 2nd) which would make sense because it’s on par with July 4th again. But as of right now…it’s not in the games for purchase. (I’ve verified this on my C game that I just created 3 months ago, and many of you have commented that you don’t see it in your game).
Where are my robed figures?!
Many of you are reporting that you don’t see robed figures in your Springfield’s and want to know what’s the deal. Well the deal is…to robed figures appear after a prompt/quest from Number 1. The questline is Quash Those Who Trespass Against Us, and Number 1 will start it.
This quest will NOT appear for you until after sometime between the time when you’ve collected from 5 houses (Part 3 of Game of Stones), Sent Lisa to Look for Clues (Part 1 of The Secret of the Cut Stone) and started Number 1’s Daily Task (Part 4 of Game of Stones). It’s slightly different for everyone, but somewhere in there that quest will start.
Once it starts you will have 6 figures appear in your town all at once. This only happens the first time and for that quest. Once you’ve cleared those 6 figures then the counter/spawn time starts. At this point you will get 1 robed figure every hr in your town, with a max of 6 in your town at once. There is no bank, so they won’t store up for you after that 6 max. And you’ll earn 4 emblems for everyone you squash.
Also, note that the robed figures are spies. So they’re sneaky and quick. They run around your town and disappear and reappear, so they may be hard to spot and catch. When you’ve collected all that are in your town you’ll get a popup that says you’ve cleared them for now:
When do Number 1’s Tasks Reset for Each Day? How About the Sacred Parchment Tasks?
Number 1’s Daily Tasks reset each day at midnight in YOUR timezone (so if you’re in PST it’s midnight your time, EST midnight your time etc). The Sacred Parchment Tasks reset each day at 8:00GMT, or 4:00am EST.
If You Miss A Day Do the Tasks Add Up?
Number 1’s Daily tasks do not. You must complete those tasks in a 24hr period to earn the full bonus each day.
However, the Sacred Parchment Tasks do. Those can build up for you, so if you miss a day you’re still good. It’s just that a new one will unlock each day, and you can’t speed up the unlock rate.
Will I Still Earn Skins for Characters I Don’t Yet Have? (Premium or higher level Characters)
Yes. The good news is the skins, once you’ve unlocked them, will stay in your Inventory until you’ve unlocked or purchased the character. In my C game I haven’t yet unlocked Moe, so his Stonecutter Skin is waiting in my inventory until Moe Arrives in my Springfield. This will also happen with Premium Characters you don’t yet own:
Why Does it Say Earning 0 Emblems for the Next 0 Friend Actions?
You’re limited to 60 friend actions per day that will earn you emblems, so 60 total emblems from friends every 24hrs. (Results of visiting 20 friends and tapping 3 items per town) However, IF you’ve completed any friend actions prior to the spying update hit your town and that clock as not yet reset (so still on countdown from 24hrs) THOSE actions count against your total.
In other words if you visited 5 friends prior to enabling spying on your neighbors and collected from their towns, so 15 actions, those 15 actions count AGAINST your 60 total actions per day. And once that clock resets on those towns you’ll be able to earn tokens again.
So basically…tap wisely. If a friend hasn’t updated their town yet (the emblems over their town in your main Springfield neighbor screen will reader higher than 0), skip their town for now and move on. DON’T tap piles of money, cash registers, $, or check books or anything else. ONLY tap Spy Cameras.
Should I Still Spy Neighbor’s Towns Even if I’m not Earning Emblems?
YES! Spend the time helping your neighbors out. Remember they earn emblems for unspying their buildings…so go through your whole list and spy on their Springfields. You’ll still earn money and XP (and FP if you’re still collecting) and it’ll help them out. In turn this could help you out, if your neighbors do the same for you!
Can I Spy in Krustyland?
Yes. Be sure to keep an eye on your Krustyland to unspy buildings there too!
Can I Collect My Income From my Buildings? Or Does the Income Need to Be Active For Friends to Have Something to Tap?
You absolutely can tap your buildings to collect your cash and XP from them. Whether or not your buildings have income over them is completely independent of a neighbor being able to spy on that building. So collect your income and boost your bank account!
The key to having a neighbor having something to tap in your town is to make sure you unspy buildings when the pyramid is over them. The faster you do this the faster the buildings become available for someone else to spy on them AND the more emblems you earn! (5 emblems if you tap a building within the first 2hrs of it becoming spied on…then you lose 1 emblem for each additional hour. 1 emblem is the minimum…so you’ll always earn something)
Why Did I Randomly Get Donuts?
Some Tappers are reporting free random donuts at the start of Stonecutters. Don’t question it…just go with it 🙂 We’ll have a post on this up soon…
Does the Daycare Center Have Tasks Associated With It?
Yes, many of the Stonecutters have a task that says Run the Stonecutter Daycare.
Do Neighbor’s Buildings Only Award 1 Emblem when Spied On?
Yes and no. Here’s the deal….ALL neighbor’s buildings (if you still have tasks left) earn 1 Emblem…EXCEPT The Stonecutter’s Lodge. If you spy on the Lodge you’ll earn 5 Emblems!
This is a great thing to tap…HOWEVER make sure you clear yours often in your own town. Also, if you’re out of actions for the day (ie it says you’ll receive 0 Emblems for the next 0 Friend actions) do your fellow Tappers and Don’t Tap the Lodge! Save it for someone who still will earn emblems.
Where Can I Find Everything You’ve Posted For the Event?
Check out our Stonecutters Event Page here. That’s where you’ll find the info posted. I do try to update it at least once a day, if not more. I know sometimes I don’t update it fast enough for Cguy….BUT I try to keep it as updated as my time allows.
Where Can I Add Friends for the Event?
Check out our Add Friends Feeds. Currently this is the ONLY place where your friend requests will be approved. If we see them on any other posts we will delete them…although occasionally 1 slips through, but as soon as it’s spotted it’s deleted. So try to keep your Friend Requests to those feeds.
What Happens If I Have More Questions?
Just ask…we’re always happy to help in any/every way we can! You can post your questions here or on the specific thread, we’ll see them. 🙂 Just keep in mind…if your comment isn’t approved it might be because we’re checking on the answer for you. So as soon as we have it we’ll answer and approve it.

Keep in mind during updates you guys LOVE asking questions and commenting and we LOVE answering them and talking with you….BUT because we’re all in different time zones oftentimes there’s only 1 of us in the comments at a time, so it may take a little while before we can get through them all…depending on what else is going on. Like if you’re trying to write this post, despite 60+ comments pending. We’ll get to them, we promise. We don’t ever delete a comment unless it’s set to spark hate, a friend request in the wrong place, or just place mean to one of us or another reader.

Since we can only do 60 actions a day, won’t this make it difficult to earn all prizes by July 2nd? With the FP’ s , I got them from all 100 neighbors daily.
Nope…because you earn 1,000 bonus emblems each day from #1’s tasks 🙂
You need to have active neighbors. You help them…they help you. You “spying” gives them up to 5 emblems each (depending how fast they clear it). So maxed out on neighbors at 100…times 3 “spies” each (you can spy in Krustyland too)…times 5 max Emblems…that is a possiblity of 1500 Emblems a day from just neighbors spying on you and you them. Then if you add to that your 60 (more if you catch the 5 Emblem payout on the Lodge)…plus daily tasks…math is coming. It is still possible. 😉
So to get 60 emblems per day you need to tap the stonecutters lodge? So in theory the most you can get per friend town is 7 emblems per friend until you reach 60?
I didn’t know about the stonecutter lodge payout and my emblems ended up being 46 emblems, even though I had plenty of friends left with tappable video cameras.
Nope. You have 60 taps per day to use. You only get one per spy cam. BUT…the lodge is the ONLY building that gives you 5…so try to get it vs the 1 emblem rest of them. Also…remember it is 60 TOTAL taps…so if you use them for $$, Menus, spray cans, etc…you are taking from the 60 you could have used for the Emblems.

Totally love this event very similar to Halloween BUT couldn’t or should I say wouldn’t find it half as easy without your fabulous tips and help so from the Brit I say thank you Alissa, bunny & wookie! I love the census so amazing in big towns!

I just noticed I can’t store things I used to be able to such as the potted tree or the shrubs. I get the “sorry hoarder” message. This is a new thing right? Did it come with this latest update?

First time to comment. Love the blogs. Keep up the good work. Quick question. I have a parchment quest involving Apu but currently have him working a 7 day shift. I am completely freemium and don’t want to waste valuable donuts on ending the task early. I have tried to store the KwikEMart but it won’t let me, saying I am a hoarder. Any other suggestions on freeing Apu from his duties.
At this time…sadly the only thing I can think of is to try and sale the Kwik-E-Mart if it will let you and then re-buy it. EA created a storage lockout with the Hotfix to protect items that went missing with the now disabled Nuclear feature. I am unsure if/when they will set them back to normal.
So selling and re-purchase is all I can think of.
The next days tasks will still popup for you tho, and you can always go back to Apu’s task when his shift is over. You’ll be able to keep moving forward you’ll just be missing one, so once his shift is over be sure to go back and complete that task. 🙂
In my Springfield every sing one of my buildings that have an animation when being used, is animated when not being used! Anyone else have this? Thanks in advance!
Yes. It seems EA wants us to enjoy all the cool animations all over, so once those Spy Cams activate…the towns come alive. I am loving it myself. 😉

Nice post that answers most of my questions!!
But I have one more issue.. Some of my friends are complaining that when they wanna visit my town the game has to load VERY long (And i mean very long as in 2.5 minutes or so) or sometimes they were just thrown out of the game.. They said this has not happened before the update..
Anyone knows what this is or experimenting the same? It would be a real bummer when I miss many potential emblems 🙁
Is your town overloaded with decorations and buildings? Have you hit beyond the 4500 Decoration warning pop up? These can cause issues with neighbors device not being able to handle the amount of data you have in your town. Make sense?
I use a lot of decorations and stuff! I want to make my town worth looking at , you know :D! But I didn’t hit pop up warning yet (didn’t even know it existed). Ah well, my friends just should get better devices then :p!
Are there premium items we should hold off on buying because we may get them free during the event?
Mainly the Chest of Sacred Artifacts. You earn one of these as a personal prize. One of the great things about this event is there are not a ton of premium items.
That was the main reason I didn’t choose the chest to buy, I saw it was attainable through playing.
Alright, I have one: What will happen if I start last Number 1’s task right before reset? Am I still going to be good in getting of those 400 emblems a few hours later in a new cycle?
I have not tested this yet myself as I try to clear all the tasks as quickly as possible. I would say try it. Once you start a task, it would seem plausible you can collect from it.
This happened to me last night. I had 30 min left before reset but the task was one hour. I didn’t get the last prize in time, the whole thing reset and I only got the first prize of emblems. Then I did the rest of the tasks and got the max emblems. I missed out on 400.
I was afraid of that. Those timed tasks are tricky. Sometimes you can get them…other times once the date hits…no more payout. Thanks for clarifying it for us. 😉
I actually tried that, it was a 4 hour task with only 2 hours on the countdown to get the 400 emblems, in fortunately when the 4 hour task was over it resented and only got 150 🙁 so Number 1s task must be started AND finished within the 24 hour window
No. I did it the 1st day… The day reset while I was in the middle of my 4th task and when it completed, it counted as that 2nd day’s task #1. Kinda irritating. :-/
This works for the sacred parchment tasks. I accidentally sent Krusty on an 8 hour task at 8 PM. When I woke up in the morning and tapped him, I was given credit for doing the new daily parchment task (even though I didn’t realize it was going to be the assigned task for the day when I assigned him at 8 PM the night before.)
So it seems the game is counting everything after midnight towards the tasks for the new day.
Do you think I’m on track? I have 3030 emblems completed all that I can for the main questline and finished one part of the other one. I also have solved 2 sacred parchment puzzles (need Lisa to be free).

Hello. Long time player, first time commenter… I’m having an issue where collecting emblems is not allowing me to collect any prizes. I’ve collected 4,033 emblems so far and I’ve yet to receive the Krusty skin (Mmm… Crusty skin.) while looking at the “Emblem Prizes” screen it tells me that I currently need -170 donuts to claim the Scared Parchment, of which I current have two, one in my town and one in inventory… the 2nd of which is won’t allow me to place for oblivious reasons. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled, and I’ve had TERRIBLE luck when attempting to deal with Origin or EA in the past…. So I’m wondering if anyone else has come across this issue, and know if there is a known way to clear it up? Thank you.
Have you tried storing the Lodge and the Sacred Parchment in your town, reset device, then replace them again…Lodge first then Parchment?
Outside of basic troubleshooting…EA is really the only one with access to get into your game and try to help.
I had this problem but was rectified with the hot fix and the krusty skin was waiting in storage this morning

So it eventually worked itself out and no more negative?
I noticed that it now tells your total bonus money & xp.

We don’t know. They are just that…random. There is nothing explaining it in the files nor any other reasoning technically we can see. Could be EA catching up on all the open tickets that players have? Who knows.
Not sure if anyone’s mentioned this yet, but to maximise emblem collection, whizz through ALL of your neighbours ONLY tapping Lodge if available (to claim 5 points) then if you’re lucky enough to find 60 free Lodges, you’ve accumulated 300 emblems, not just 60! Once you’ve collected from as many Lodges as you can, go back through neighbours tapping random buildings for remaining 2 taps to get money. Love the event so far 🙂

I was thinking about that last night, then a bit ago I had a very smart neighbor who must have realized I had my town up while I was on the board, that I was watching for spying while posting & reading, so I was clearing as soon as the floating pyramid appeared. They tapped my Lodge, came back after I cleared, tapped it again, then did it over again. So basically, they were able to collect 15 emblems just from visiting me. I thought it was totally cool!

If possible, can someone do a quick consolidation post on exactly which characters can become Stonecutters and how they get their skins. Examples:
Free:
Homer- (after you build the Lodge and go through a bit of dialogue)
Premium:
Dr. Hibbert – 60 Donuts
Fink – 12 Donuts
Collect Emblems:
Krusty – 4,000 Emblems
Skinner & Willie – 10,000 Emblems
Mr. Burns – 14,000 Emblems
Chief Wiggum & Disco Stu – 18,000 Emblems
Lenny, Carl, & Jasper – 28,000 Emblems
Tablet Quests:
Moe: 2nd Tablet Quest (??? – not positive, but that’s how I go him)

Is there any way to change the time the prophecies reset because. I will not be able to complete tomorrows otherwise as I think it will take too long. Also is 35000 emblems possible without completing every days prophecies?
The Sacred Parchment tasks are different. They’ll build up for you so you can skip and day but you have to complete them all to win the prizes.
The daily tasks will disappear each day. However, you can’t switch them out. You have to complete them in order to get ALL of the emblems being offered. It is possible, but you have to be a frequent tapper and do everything else.

My game is only giving me 50 medallions when visiting neighbors. Will that go up, or is it a mistake?
If you take a look at my post, I explain you get 60 taps total to try for Emblems once your neighbor clock resets. If you use ANY of those first 60 taps to collect from non spying neighbors (like just tap on cash or spray can) than you are using one of those 60 and then just lost that chance at an Emblem.

I’ve collected a few stonecutter skins for characters now (moe, frink, hibbert), and aside from Homer (and the alien character, which isn’t a costume), i’m disappointed that all the ones I have received so far have no outside actions. Is this going to be the case for all of them? If so, I think that negates the excitement of having all these new stonecutter costumes…
I guess I just enjoy seeing them all walk around town in their robes. Krusty has a great outdoor task once you get the table and Jasper’s task with Homer outside is my absolute favorite.
I have a couple questions! Why are my leprechauns now giving me five money instead of eight like they used to? Also, why can I not store flowers and bushes anymore?

WRT the Number 1 tasks,
1. These specific tasks will only appear as new jobs for specific people, correct? This way I can be sure that I have the right person set for the task.
2. Is there any benefit for sending more than one person for that job? For example, if I send TWO ‘youths to drink an extra cold squshee’ is there any extra advantage?
No advantage to sending more than one person on the job, you’ll just earn more cash and XP….no extra emblems.

Hi on my a game the nighthawk diner didnt show up but on my b and c games it showed up for purchase immediately. Any known reason for this?
That’s odd..because in my C game and other games that don’t have it, it didn’t show up. It’s actually a common complaint we see in the comments…”where’s the diner?!”

This is a simply beautiful summary, so big thanks! I’m still just a bit confused about the “0 emblems 0 visits” (big surprise). I’m assuming this is a rolling window – that is, everyone’s emblem availability “clock” resets at a different time? I went most of yesterday with the 0 for 0 message. Then, about a third of the way through my evening visits, I started collecting emblems (or cash, pending on that neighbors progress). So, I guess I’m thinking my emblem-earning ability will kick in about the same time today? I am back to 0 for 0 so far this morning.
Also, fingers crossed about the Nighthawk diner. Apart from Edward Hopper being one of my favorite American artists, and that painting being my wallpaper for years, it is one of the sweetest looking buildings, IMO. 😍 Thanks again for great event information.
Yes…everyones neighbor time is set by the player themselves. If you do not like the time it resets…wait…let them all roll over to 24 hr restart…then tap on one when YOU want the clock to be started (so wait til like 3 pm to start the clocks if that time works for you.) I did this and set it for 8am as that is most convenient for me. I use a specific neighbor as my “countdown clock”. I always tap on them first to start the timer…that way no matter how many I get through I can always go back to my neighbor screen and see how much time is left on that neighbor and know how long I have til the clock resets.
And watch the Emblems. The tap is 60 TOTAL…so if you hit a money or spray can or any other items then the cameras…those count as a tap and will take from that 60. So make the first 60 taps counts.
Perfect…the light turns on! So if my clock resets at 4 PM, but 5-6 PM is the best time for me, I could still tap everyone available at six today, but then leave all my morning people until after 4pm tomorrow. Thanks, as always, Bunny. I know it’s just a game, but sometimes you’re a lifesaver!

Thansks for all your hard work (and to the rest of the team for theirs) putting together all this info! I love this event so far, but my head would be spinning if I were trying to play without this blog. And my Lisa Parchment task reappeared today when I received the puzzle that unlocked today. Looks like it is not necessary to go through these tasks in order, though I suppose I should wait until I actually send Lisa on this task before making this assertion. Looks good, tho.
Yea it looks like they don’t have to go in order. You should be good if you do them out of order…I got wrong info from a reader lol
