Hey there Hoppereenos. Bunny here bouncing on by to help out with glitches and issues that seem to be trending right now. So batten down the hatches and let’s dive on in.
First up, the 20 sided die or Cheaters as the game calls them.
In order to be able to use these, regardless if you have won them or not, you need to have reached 800 Gold and unlocked the Free Bag of Cheaters. To use them, you need to go to a neighbors/random town that has buildings/castles to destroy. Or Buildings in your town that need to be repaired and/or defended.
In your town you will see the Shield with a Die on it along with the amount of die you have left to use. In a neighbor/random building, you will see the option in the pop up menu under the Nerds you want to attack to instead will have the option to “Wreck this building immediately” for 1 die.
Now what should happen is when you use the die in your town, a flash occurs and all the items are repaired/defended. This is not happening for many players and the task is not clearing.
There are others in the EA forums stating the same issue. My suggestion right now is to alert EA if it is not registering for you right away as well as posting your info on the forum to raise awareness to the problem.

Odd Notifications.
I have to say this one has got me confused. With the new update came a lot of new notifications popping up on our devices. Even some really strange ones that make no sense.
Our awesome reader Harry B. Sent this in to us.
I just noticed that when I got the message again about Hidden Tickets generating, I did a slow look at everything, and discovered that those Wine Cups were available to Buy!
I think the glitch has been Accidentally alerting me each time somthing new is available to buy in the game!I’ll keep a close watch and see if it happens again.. This could actualy be a good thing 🙂
This very well could be a Notification on the “special” events that occur (like elixr sales). Just a language mix up. Looks like some of the NPC type Spuckler Kids are in on it too.
My suggestion on this too is to alert EA. Obviously some wording is missing and needs to be resolved. So contact them and open a ticket as well as post on the EA forums to bring attention to it. If a Notification is wrong, it impacts all players.
UPDATE: The items were as I originally thought, pop ups that should not have shown. They are essentially coding for the characters tasks completing and should not have triggered a notification to your device. Like if something completed in Krustyland and you can go collect tickets or if Dubya (Brandine’s Kid) finished collecting money and was ready to be tapped.
Items disappearing when visiting Krustyland.
Players are stating that bizarre things happen and go missing when you leave Springfield and the game hasn’t had a chance to sync up. Things like the shields you just defended your town with. Or Elixr you just bought. For some a trip to a Neighbor helps to sync it back up and restore. For others, items are lost for good.
If this is happening to you, alert EA right away as you definitely don’t want to be losing items during this event. Also, post on the forum to bring attention. Try to sync up in the mean time by hopping in and out of a few neighbors to see if it helps restore what you lost.

15 FREE DONUTS??!!
We are still in the process of looking in to this one. We have seen it and the dialog. We will update once we find out more.
UPDATE: A patch sent through by EA corrected this issue and players were able to get a pop up and awarded their 15 free donuts. If you did not or had any troubles in them disappearing, please alert EA.

TSTO Addicts to the rescue again, as best as possible anyway. I was able to use my first 20-sided die from inventory defending my town which was acquired before the questline where you get 5 of them for free – it popped out randomly while defending other bulldings. After I got the 5 dice from the questline though, I’ve only been able to raid with them. I wasted two of the darn things “defending” my town, trying to finish that task – I think I got the rewards for it, but it didn’t count towards completion. However, using the die in another town (which wasn’t an option for me until this task began) worked just fine.
It seems it’s far more useful to raid with the dice vs. defend anyway and at least my handshakes are in full effect without having to log out/log in, but yeah…I added my “me too” to the EA thread. As long as this task won’t prevent me from finishing the other tasks in this event, it’s a relatively minor thing.
I was able to clear the task when I used it in my town, but it let all the shields there…
That 15 free doughnuts is legit
I’ve another glitch to report & have had a ticket in at EA about it as of 5pm my time yesterday (Thurs), to no reply as yet. I had 609 donuts (some purchased in the Gil deal, some I’d amassed) I bought the chicken coop (30 donuts) & my donut count went down to 421 donuts (by my count 188 donuts missing) I got the 15 free this morning, but this in no way makes up for the missing 188 donuts purchased with real money from an itunes gift card. I’m very disenchanted with this event & most dismayed that so many donuts have just disappeared. Is there any way to speed up the EA ticket please? Bear in mind I’m in Australia & live support is not an option.
Not really. ANY issue regardless…can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. You also have to factor in a MAJOR event just hit…so tickets are flooding in. Be patient. Let them have the appropriate time going into a weekend to address the issue.
I always get into the US site for live chat support… but maybe is wrong :/
I got the Krustyland glitch. Cleared all my shields. Was hoping the update fixed it. 🙁

Yep, my second one. The first one was for the cheaters glitch which was fixed by the update, although again it cleared all my shields. Haven’t gotten a response by e-mail yet on either one.
They replied pretty fast to the KL glitch. They directed me to the forum for fixes, but said that it may not be fixed yet. They offered 5 donuts compensation. I had to give them my e-mail and origin ID. I did point out that I’m missing out on tickets as I’m letting my shields destroy my houses (in hopes that more people will attack me).
Contacted EA but the shields are still disappearing. Will we get any of them back?
Don’t know. Til then, clear them all.
Just checked and I’m still getting both alerts, the Dubya and Whitney kids one means that they have money to collect,
so far the (hidden) one usually means either someone visited your town or there is Elixer to collect.
I have been playing with no problems until now i jst tried to go into my game and i am logged in i made sure it was me but when i tap to play it brings me bck to the beginning where homer blows up the town. What’s should i do??
Hard close, clear your cache and start again. Go through the intro and then login when you get the option to. (it’s happened to me once or twice in the past)
Does it matter that I’m already logged in?
Clearing cache and data sometimes will trigger a restart in the game and send it back to Level 1. So ensure you are in your game by following the steps she said…then the ones below.

I have none of the event stuff happening – I received the donuts this morning, have the new character and Clash of Thrones splash screen but I have none of the stuff you guys are talking about. My Springfield is otherwise exactly the same as it was last week as are my friend’s Springfields.
Have I missed a trigger event?
None of the stuff how? Did you send the Barbarian on his first task to attack the Simpson house? After that you have the build the castle….at that point (after the castle is built) you’ll unlock the event.

Try a hard close see if that kick starts it. Or check your build menu to see if you have the castle in there..
Just fast forwarded the barbarian’s pumping iron task and the event triggered then. Weird!

I did get the 15 free donuts , it said as one of the first players here are 15 free donuts , then the game crashed and when I restarted the donuts were gone and have not returned
Contact EA and they will hook you up. Unfortunately this happens from time to time. It’s usually a fast fix too.
Has anyone’s game been crashing when you visit krustyland. I can’t get back into my game now and I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it and nothing’s happening. Any tips?
Update triggered the 15 free donuts and EVERYONE is trying to get in at once. Give it a bit to come back online and the traffic on the server to slow down.
I just got the free donuts. It happened when i entered krustyland. It said thanks for being one of the first players of clash of clones. Hurray!

Does anyone else have this problem?Even though I completed collecting 800 gold and received the box of 20s (which I can use) I am unable to use the 20s that is sitting in my inventory. It’s locked and says it is unable to be retrieved or something in that order…not a really big issue as I am able to use the ones out of the quest box and haven’t won or bought new ones. But I do hope any new ones won’t get stuck in inventory…I am able to buy them though so…we’ll see as the game continues!
They should unlock as you progress in the questline.
Thanks wookie but at which point during which quest line should they unlock from the inventory it seems strange I can use the one from the prizes. And in the meanwhile Lisa is almost done having her recital in front of a (i imagine shivering) bunch of springfielders and Homer is well on his way getting bended on elixer for the second time. By the way been enjoying you guys for over a half year and so grateful for all the help and inspiration so far to all of you! Have a great weekend 🙂
Hmmmm… it unlocked for me after the Barbarian acted like a sitcom dad or something like that. If it doesn’t pop up soon, I’d contact EA.
The game keeps crashing on me ever since the update. Not that there weren’t issues with it crashing at random already.
Did the newest update help at all?
I’m afraid not. I’ve tried to load the game more than a dozen times today and it only finished loading twice. The game usually crashes when I try to visit a neighboring town which might make this months mission a bit difficult without spending donuts.
What kind of troubleshooting have you tried?
Did you check your memory space available on your device. This app takes up a LOT of room. I give it at least 2GB of space. Do you have any other apps running at the same time on your device? Even if they are in the background? If so, close them all stop and stop them from running. How is your WiFi signal?
The neighbor you visit during the crash, is it the same one over and over. The issue could be on THEIR side causing the crash. When Wookiee’s town went down, as well as my B game recently…anyone attempting to visit them was immediately kicked out of the game.
All are issues of memory overload. The device can only take so much. The game too. If you have a LOT of decorations, that will slow it down. If you have a lot of outdoor animation going on, that will slow it down. Try to store NPC’s that are not needed for this event.
See if any of those help. If not, EA is the next step. Open a ticket with them so they can note your time down and troubleshoot beyond all this.
I keep getting a glitch on my fences. Some of them change to characters and will change the character every 10 seconds.
This is one of those harmless glitches that’s been happening for as long as I can remember. We call them texture glitches and they usually happen in towns with lots of decorations. Some are actually pretty humorous.
Did not get my barbarian homer, or homer barbarian. Also no Lisa castle even though they said were unlocked. Still locked in inventory.
Even though you won the prizes, they unlock as you progress the regular questline. The skins come after both drink at Moe’s twice and then complete a switching task. Lisa is later on with Barbarian Homer. This post should help you out.

Bah! The cheaters. The game does nothing to explain them; I had to find out about the at TSTO Addicts. I used them up all to attack and now can’t clear the part of the task where you have to use them in defence.
You’ll still earn them from defending in your town and attacking neighbors (they’ll pop out of buildings)…so you can still complete it when you win one 🙂

Just a heads up, the little in game update that just happened didn’t fix the cheaters glitch (at least not for me). Just wanted to let everyone know so people didn’t waste their cheaters. 🙂

I have a question, I dont know if its a glitch or im just being inpatient, none of my decorations ie. Castle walls or towers are unlocking I’ve already earned the recycle castle and the free tower walls and castle Walls but I can not get any nore it still says locked but when I click on the item it shows a check mark next to the required amount of elixir to unlock????
You’ll unlock the ability to purchase them once the castle they’re for reaches Level 10. 🙂

I think that the error message that says, “Dubya has completed ERROR”….. Think about it all of you American citizens… We just recently had a president nicknamed by the public “w” or Dubya…. could be EA is poking fun at him…. Granted that probably isn’t the case *********

I know how busy you guys are so no worries! On the cheaters issue I’ve done the second part first (so defending) in two of my three towns and it clears it obviously in my main town I haven’t cleared it but it may help anyone who hasn’t got there yet 😉
I noticed the disappearing shield glitch in my game. I left to go the krustyland and came back and all the shields were gone. I sincerely hope this gets corrected. I did post on ea, there were others who did as well! Otherwise loving the update!

Clearing the task is good (for my OCD), but unlike many people, I actually spend money on the game and the glitch is wasting my purchased Cheaters20. Hopefully there’s a fix soon! :^(
I am not sure if this helps in my main world the cheater did not clear defending my town; however in my second town I did the second task first so defended my town before attacking another town and doing it this way around it cleared the cheater task

Did you go into the Land menu to purchase it?
Tap Hammer and Saw menu icon lower right corner, Square of Land icon far right, Sale Sign and “Buy” icon, and then you can see all the new blocks of land and their prices.
I think the hidden generating tickets thing is from krustyland.
This shows up whenever kl visitors generated tickets
That makes total sense… They’ve never had a message for those NPC’s before but it seems like a regular interval between people’s comments on that that would fit… Granted I have to many Apps on my iPad so my notifications get removed when I have to many and I haven’t actually seen this pop up… Also I want my free 15donuts…. I gotten that message 3 times now

I also didn’t receive the Archer Lisa skin with Castle Recycle. I checked Lisa and my inventory and it wasn’t there. Is this opened by completing a task?
Yes, you’ll have to reach part 9 of the main questline to unlock it

Yup…Lisa’s is done then Bart starts (naturally he wants a castle too 😉 )
Do you have to finish Part 9 or just start it? I have started it, but do not have Archer Lisa.
It’s at the end of part 9 I believe. You’ll see the dialog pop up with him telling Lisa to build a castle.

I saw the “Why should winter have all the fun…” notification too (Android player here), but it seemed to disappear from my list and I couldn’t find it again even though I hadn’t dismissed the notification. Nothing special happened in game.

As far as the defending cheater thing, I had to tap the cheater button and then tap a random house in my town. I had a bit of time figuring that out, but I guess that wasn’t how it was supposed to work! I had no buildings destroyed or under attack so I guess I wasted it. I figured maybe it was to defend for future attacks. The problem I have is when I go to certain neighbors towns the game freezes when I leave. Not sure if they are having issues because it’s only a few certain neighbors that do it to my game.
