Hey there Hoppereenos. Bunny here bouncing on by to help out with glitches and issues that seem to be trending right now. So batten down the hatches and let’s dive on in.
First up, the 20 sided die or Cheaters as the game calls them.
In order to be able to use these, regardless if you have won them or not, you need to have reached 800 Gold and unlocked the Free Bag of Cheaters. To use them, you need to go to a neighbors/random town that has buildings/castles to destroy. Or Buildings in your town that need to be repaired and/or defended.
In your town you will see the Shield with a Die on it along with the amount of die you have left to use. In a neighbor/random building, you will see the option in the pop up menu under the Nerds you want to attack to instead will have the option to “Wreck this building immediately” for 1 die.
Now what should happen is when you use the die in your town, a flash occurs and all the items are repaired/defended. This is not happening for many players and the task is not clearing.
There are others in the EA forums stating the same issue. My suggestion right now is to alert EA if it is not registering for you right away as well as posting your info on the forum to raise awareness to the problem.

Odd Notifications.
I have to say this one has got me confused. With the new update came a lot of new notifications popping up on our devices. Even some really strange ones that make no sense.
Our awesome reader Harry B. Sent this in to us.
I just noticed that when I got the message again about Hidden Tickets generating, I did a slow look at everything, and discovered that those Wine Cups were available to Buy!
I think the glitch has been Accidentally alerting me each time somthing new is available to buy in the game!I’ll keep a close watch and see if it happens again.. This could actualy be a good thing 🙂
This very well could be a Notification on the “special” events that occur (like elixr sales). Just a language mix up. Looks like some of the NPC type Spuckler Kids are in on it too.
My suggestion on this too is to alert EA. Obviously some wording is missing and needs to be resolved. So contact them and open a ticket as well as post on the EA forums to bring attention to it. If a Notification is wrong, it impacts all players.
UPDATE: The items were as I originally thought, pop ups that should not have shown. They are essentially coding for the characters tasks completing and should not have triggered a notification to your device. Like if something completed in Krustyland and you can go collect tickets or if Dubya (Brandine’s Kid) finished collecting money and was ready to be tapped.

Players are stating that bizarre things happen and go missing when you leave Springfield and the game hasn’t had a chance to sync up. Things like the shields you just defended your town with. Or Elixr you just bought. For some a trip to a Neighbor helps to sync it back up and restore. For others, items are lost for good.
If this is happening to you, alert EA right away as you definitely don’t want to be losing items during this event. Also, post on the forum to bring attention. Try to sync up in the mean time by hopping in and out of a few neighbors to see if it helps restore what you lost.

15 FREE DONUTS??!!
We are still in the process of looking in to this one. We have seen it and the dialog. We will update once we find out more.
UPDATE: A patch sent through by EA corrected this issue and players were able to get a pop up and awarded their 15 free donuts. If you did not or had any troubles in them disappearing, please alert EA.

I reached the 9500 gold for the elixer bundle and I have no idea where to find it. It did not add to my elixer count and is not in inventory. How do I get it?
It usually puts items you win into your inventory storage box, did you already check there?
Yes, i looked there and did basic troubleshooting. Still can’t find it.
This is my thoughts on it, but I can’t test it just yet. They may be locked with the rest of the Elixr and only allow you to access it on Wednesdays when the rest of the Elixrs come. Due to it’s not Wednesday…can’t test it just yet. That is my theory. In the meantime, you’re welcome to contact EA just in case and make sure you have an open ticket for the issue.

I am having the same problem on both games here in my household. Both got the good and were notified of the elixer bonus but nothing is showing up in inventory
My thoughts on this is it is only accessible on Wednesday when Elixr is available. Can’t test it til then of course. In meantime…try to open a ticket with EA.
Im pretty sure im experiencing a BAD glitch. I think it is going to prevent me from getting castle recyle or barts castle. When ive unlocked lisa and barts castles the castles are appearing in my storage. HOWEVER THE CHARACTER SKINS ARE NOT. They are not being placed in my inventory and they are not coming available or “unlocking”. It is like i never got them. They seem critical to the update…
Any ideas?
You will NOT see the characters until you get to the point of unlocking and building the castles. Then once built, the characters will arrive. Just gotta build the castles first. 😉
Idk…i would think the castles should be unlocked. At what point do they come available? Like i said, ive got lisa and barts skins unlocked and still no castles are available and the skins dont show up anywhere. I contacted ea and they opened a ticket…so they seem to think its an issue. Ill go look at the walkthrough again…but im pretty sure something aint right. Thanks.
You have to get to Prince and the Premise Part 9 and complete it (shortly after Homer and Barbarian swap places). Once complete you will trigger Lisa to build her Castle. Once complete and you tap the check mark, Lisa skin becomes available. Next…after her castle is done…Barts dialog then pops up to build his castle. Same thing. Once it is done and built, then you get his Goblin skin. They will stay in storage until that unlock point.
Is anyone else having a glitch where your buildings are getting attacked and then all of a sudden the shield and attackers disappear?
Yes, we have been getting reports of them going missing when you leave your town. My suggestion is for now to just tap them all. Also, contact EA and let them know right away.
I don’t even know if I have done this? Yes, I am blonde…lol So many quests, upgrading, etc… How do you know if you have done it? Does this quest show on the left side screen with other quests pending? If it is not there, does it mean I have done it? Can’t seem to find this quest?

The quest that everyone is having issues with. The Quest Rolling with it/cheaters 20. I remember it coming up. But I don’t show this quest on the left side where all the quests show that are pending. Does that mean that I have done this “The Rolling Quest”… thanks for your speedy reply…. you people are fantastic at updating. I love this site!!!!
If you do not see the 20 sided die on the task bar menu on the side anymore, there is a good chance you did already clear it out.
I unlocked the 4000 elixir bundle earlier today when I reached the prize track goal but never received the elixir. It’s not in inventory and my elixir number did not increase when the goal was met. Is this also a glitch that needs to be reported?
If you go to your lil brown box inventory and do not see it, then yes…let EA know.
Had an odd one happen yesterday…I was playing away, only clearing shields from castles (for nerds) but letting other buildings get ravaged. I had been doing this for days, only clearing the buildings that were destroyed. I am honestly not sure what I did to triggers what happened next (I think I attacked a random town and then returned). When I got back to town all the shields from regular buildings were gone (still there on a castle). Since then I’ve not had one person invade my town and hit a regular building. It seems only the castles can be attacked now. This isn’t a huge deal but I am missing out on a few elixir and coins. I am emailing EA now but is anyone else experiencing this?
I am seeing many Players claim the issue of disappearing shields. For now, clear them all. Also, report it to EA.
Hi all, just to let you know that I logged into my game this morning and the “defend your town using a cheater” task has been cleared (after contacting ea!) also, I’m not sure, but I think my missing shields came back after the krustyland glitch! Hopefully it has been fixed now!
Is anyone else missing Lisa Archer and Goblin Bart?
They were never added into my inventory, even when the the notice said so. I didn’t think much of it at the time, thinking that they would appear and be activated with character particular tasks later, but when I reached 5000 coins and got Wizard Marge – surprise surprise – she was in the inventory when I checked. But still no Lisa or Bart.
I can’t complete the cheater task either.
Each item can only be unlocked at certain points in the questlines. You have to wait til Prince and the Premise Part 9 completes. Then Lisa’s Castle Build will start, when you are done building the Castle…then her skin will show up. Shortly after Barts dialog to build his will start and same…once built you get him. Same goes for Witch Marge. You have to wait til Part 2 on the Power of Upgrades when her skin is triggered.

Maybe they fixed the cheater glitch, or maybe I’m the only one who was doing it wrong, but I was tapping the icon, then a shield, and ask that would happen is the one building would clear, not what was described.
So I tried it one more time, but I read the text and doors day to tap the screen anywhere so I talked open land, and suddenly I got the flash, all the shields cleared, the task was done.
So if you’ve been tapping a building try tapping elsewhere and see if the task clears.
I am experiencing a glitch when it comes to using the cheaters 20 in mu town!!! It is one of my missions and I completed the one of using it in a neighbors town, but it is like its not picking up when i use it in my sprinfield!! Highly irritating because it is keeping me from finishing the mission!!!!!!!!!!! Please fix!!!!!!!!
This is a known glitch EA is currently working on. Not much more we can do from our end as we don’t work for them. Hopefully it is fixed soon.
Hey everyone! Just to let you all know- I have also been having the issue with the “Rolling with It” quest. I am able to get credit for “Destroy a BUilding with a Cheaters 20”, but when I use a cheaters 20 to “Defend my town”, I just waste a cheaters 20 and get no credit. I wasted FOUR of them. I thought I just wasn’t doing it right- Anywho. I contacted EA and spoke to a representative via chat named Amarjeet and she informed me that “It is a known issue the team is looking in to”. So- Looks like they will roll a fix out soon.
I have the disappearing shields and wrecked buildings when I go to Krustyland glitch too. I can’t even report it to EA as I can’t even log into their site right now. Looks like EA released this great update that they didn’t make sure was ready nor did they make sure they were ready. What a disappointment after waiting for this update. So now I know that more than likely most of my nerds I earned and bought got me nothing because they disappeared. That’s great.
Hopefully you can get into origin now. While I know all the glitches can be infuriating, even with tons of testing, they can’t prepare for all the myriad issues with the different android, ios and kindles. If you continue to have problems with EA’s website, don’t forget their forum. Hope your game is fixed soon.

The only glitch I’m having trouble with is using the cheater 20 dice to defend my own town. They work in neighbors towns to instantly destroy a building, but not in my town to defend and repair.
Also I DID receive 15 free doughnuts from EA for “being one of the first to play” the updated content. I logged in when I got the notification and after logging out and going to bed, when I checked my town upon awakening I got message saying thanks, & 15 doughnuts were added to my total.

I normally have problems with tapped out lagging and crashing, but its become a much bigger problem now. I can’t even collect all my buildings before it does, and I’m not even a house farmer! Is there some way I can fix this?
If normal troubleshooting and the uninstall/reinstall doesn’t fix it, you gotta let EA know what’s going on.
Thanks! It worked better than expected: once I reinstalled I was able to use the cheater 20s to defend my town too! Maybe it’ll work for others too?

By which I mean grass with no buildings, except castles, and pop up notices for money, jobs, and invaders still appear. Also my splash screen was just Marge on a green background for a bit.

Ok, I won enough gold to get the Elixir in the prize pack and it didn’t show up in my inventory. Maybe it won’t until Wednesday?
The elixir should have been automatically added to your Elixir total, it won’t show in your inventory.
I have used 3 cheater dice to stop attacks but still have not gotten the achievement for the quest i’m trying to complete
Go use it on a neighbor too. I had to do both to clear it.
I can’t defend my springfield using the 20 sided die. I know this has been a common glitch for some people, but how can I fix that?
It’s a glitch EA is working on. Hopefully it’s fixed soon.
After some weird connectivity issues that I experienced all afternoon, Boxingham Palace disappeared from my inventory.
Definitely contact EA to have them fix this for you.

A few players are reporting the same issue…unfortunately the only fix for it is to wait on EA 🙁
I’m having the exact same problem cannot visit neighbors, exact revenge or even utilize the invader button without the game crashing, for 2 days now. Actually since whenever that last update was. Prior to that everything was fine! Currently doing an uninstall, reinstall. Getting ready to exact actual revenge in anger!
Seen a couple folks with this issue. I hate to say it but you probably need to elevate it up to EA’s level. Good news is the revenge task won’t effect the primary questline progression.
It’s gotten even worse! After my uninstall, reinstall it’s crashing mid-play.I know I don’t need to do the revenge thing or technically even attack others, be they neighbors or invaders but I want to! Gold! Elixir! I’m missing out on so much more! I’ve done everything. Clear cache, force stop, clear data, move to SD, move to system memory, uninstall, reinstall, reboot system, sign out-most of those numerous times, in.a variety of combinations and not necessarily in that order. Argh! Sorry. I’m just so aggravated.

I have a new glitch. I reached level 10 on my barbarian castle. The message that I could now buy all the castle walls I want popped up. I purchase one wall, then all of the parts for the barbarian castle disappeared from my purchase menu. I checked all the menus, and they’re not there, they’re not locked. They’re completely gone as an option. I tried closing and reopening the game, then logging out and logging in, but that didn’t work. Anyone else have this problem?
Very odd. The last resort prior to contacting EA is to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Then you just have to log back into your account.
I have a ticket with EA now. I’ll let you know what happens.
Aw man…I let some shields to let know my neighbors that I will not defend and go check my KL. Didn’t see this glitch coming. I mention it to EA but I hope that my neighbors will not be mad at me 😛

3rd contact w/EA on glitches. Now I have disappearing shields even though I am not visiting KL anymore. Has anyone else encountered this problem? In addition, someone attacked my main castle, but there was also a handshake on the castle. When I collected my nerds I only got 5 nerds instead of the 15 I should have received. Lots of glitches, but I guess the lull is over. 😉

After extremly little research and loads loafing off and Peperoni Pizza, I have discovered the meaning of the strange Notification Pop-Ups!
The Tickets (hidden) refer to tickets being over the heads of visitors to KrustyLand!
Same for Whitney and Dubya, and probably the third kid and any other message saying (hidden)
These messages aren’t supposed to be sent as a notification, but instead added to a (Hidden) game log of events that happen in your town that EA can check on in case you have a problem they need to fix.
My guess is the same Event Log is also used to post notifications and somehow a glitch in the update is making them get posted to the Notifications!

I never heard from EA, I just kept checking each time there was a notification to see what was happening.
And since the glitches said (hidden). I figured they weren’t supposed to show at all, but the fact that they were there at all meant the only reason they were there would have to be some kind of Log, and since we weren’t meant to see it, then the only reason I or EA would put them there, would be to see what events could caused a game to crash, and it must keep track of what you clicked the last few days, or at least the last 1000 actions taken.
And to save space and easier to program a single event system instead of separate ones, it most likely uses a single log to double as a Notification Center and anything marked (hidden) isn’t supposed to show, but some glitch is making it show.
It Seemed the obvious answer to me. 🙂

I got 15 free donuts yesterday, but the game told me it was because “I was one of the first people to play.” Huh? The donuts are still there in my donut count, so I’m not complaining.
Also, I just got a notification saying my “hidden tickets” were ready. Guess that’s a glitch, too.
Has anyone tried logging out then logging back in to get the Cheater task to work? It worked for one person on the EA board.
I’ve noticed a couple glitches: 1. When I “Use a Cheaters 20 to Defend Your Town,” the task doesn’t go away. This has happened twice now and I’m afraid to do it anymore because I don’t want to lose my Cheaters 20s. 2. I was given the 15 donuts and didn’t spend them, but when I checked my town later, I was back to my original number of donuts.

I got the 5 free dice that came with the quest, but did NOT get the 20 dice that was supposed to be the third price. I have also seen this: (Insert player name) has finished ERROR.
The price is 5 Cheaters. They’re called Cheaters 20…but you only get a 5 pack as the prize.
Naming the die Cheaters 20 is misleading. I thought it meant you got 20 uses out of a die. I think 9 donuts is way too much to pay for one use of a die. Could someone explain the benefit?

The name has to do with how many sides the die has. Honestly, I would never advise to buy them. You earn them randomly while playing. Save your donuts for better stuff.
In my mind it’s not worth it either…beneficial that you can get them for free for defending your buildings. I’ve already gotten 6 for free. More info on the cheaters can be found here 🙂

My game keeps on crashing! The weird thing is, this never happened before the update, but now every time I so much as scroll through my town, the game crashes! I have no idea what to do, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but to no avail. Do you think that if I blow up my Springfield, it will improve this? I’ve been thinking of redesigning my town anyway, so maybe this is a good opportunity.

If you have a TON of decorations I do think nuking it may help your crashing issue. Sometimes the crashing is related to the game sucking memory from your phone, and the more you have in your town the more memory it sucks. So if you’re thinking about nuking it anyway that might help solve the problem 🙂
