Just popping in to let it’s Wednesday…and that means that non-addictive Elixir is once again available in your game for today only (well and every Wednesday until the event is over). So for today only you can purchase MORE elixir for donuts.
Something new EA is trying with this event…and you can only purchase currency 1 day a week (remember Elixir is required to purchase things AND level up your castles BUT it will not unlock prizes for you…only Gold can unlock prizes)…and that day is Wednesday.
Elixir will be available for purchase in your store from 0800GMT today (Wednesday) and run for 24hrs (until 0800GMT Thursday morning). More details below the fold…

You have 24hrs to make a purchase, if you want any, and then it will be locked up again until next week.
Today’s Elixir Sale Opened at 0800GMT (8/27) and closes at 0800GMT on 8/28. The “Elixir Store” will be opened again next Wednesday 🙂

This morning I woke up to a little over 9000 ex, playing strictly freemium. That’s with 3 castles at level 10 yesterday. Why would I spend 226 donuts for what I get free?
I hit 9600 gold a few days ago and the window popped up saying I got the elixir truck, but it never appeared in my inventory. Thought the glitch might might trigger today, but nope, no elixir.
The truck was an incorrect image. The dialog said bundle, so there was confusion. They have corrected the image now to show the bundle with the new update, but if you did not get the elixr let EA Know.
Seems like a total rip-off for the price. You’re better off spending 4 donuts for 20 nerds to send out into battle. Once you’ve got all 3 castles built you’ll have plenty of nerds to send into battle as it is. Just remember to log in every 2 hours, collect your nerds, and send them out.
I only got the 1000 elixir truck load today. I know it has been up here before, but what is the link to contact them to get the other 3000. Thanks for your help.
The bundle was the correct amount apparently. Issue was the dialog said bundle but the image showed a truck. The new update has fixed it. Image matches dialog now.

Ugh, why buy Elixer? It allows you to level up your castle, but that’s about it. You get no prizes, you get no gold. Even when you max out your castles, it costs donuts to get more walls or towers. I hit 8500 gold and earned my Elixer prize. Thought it would be the 4000 that you can buy, but not sure if I got it or not. Sounds like others have had the same issue or the prize is for less than expected. I know I can contact EA, but I’m still waiting on a resolve for the disappearing shields issue. Thought it may have cleared up, but just left them a while ago and now they’re gone. Figured I’d let my neighbor win some gold and Elixer. Kind of over this whole expansion. Think I’ll wait and see what Halloween brings.
Marc said what I am thinking…why do I need more elixir? It would be cool if I could get more balloons and chicken coops with it, but those cost donuts. My Barbarian Castle is as big as I want it (I’ve made it into a Medieval Times dinner show place), but I will store the other two when this is over, so I don’t want any more castle parts. There must be more coming to this event, otherwise I’m almost done and kind of over it. Wondering what happens at the end of “Steal Premium Currency” task.
I bought elixer and immediately regretted it. It’s insanely overpriced. I won’t be buying it again.
I’m still waiting for the elixir I should have got as a prize….

This event for the first time doesn’t tempt me with any premium items (except the chicken coop). In one of my towns though I haven’t spent any donuts at all I’ve hit 30,000 gold, my castles are at level 15, and my people are my people are at higher levels (whatever that gold is). If it wasn’t for that shield glitch I would be letting my buildings get destroyed for neighbors, but I don’t want them to lose everything. I have been really lucky in this town… it’s all about how the randoms are. My other town that I am playing exactly the same way is only at 21,000 gold, but It still seems ahead enough and I’ve won everything I really want.
I’ve been trying to decide if Flanders is one of those new urban gardeners who would have chickens in the city Hmmmm….

I stopped upgrading my castles once I got the gates and unlocked the walls and pillars in the store because I was under the impression that upgrading further just made it take longer for neighbors to get there elixir and not get as much for their troubles. Do you still get more walls and pillars for free with further upgrades?
No additional walls from level 11-20. At level 21 you’ll be awarded 1 wall (for an insanely high elixir price)…so you’ve basically got it right 🙂

I am getting plenty of Elixir with my 45 nerds per shift and will use all of that bonus elixir for buying as many extra castle parts and hay wagons as I can
Wow, Some people have all the prices already. I am working on the hot air balloon. But i have still a lot of time and i’m right on schedule with the gold calendar 🙂 Thx to Bunny my world is all ok 😀
I have a couple neighbors who finished in the first hour of the update
not buying it…..its a rip off, try fixing all the glitches EA, and then give us some elixir for all the problems we have had
Or donuts. Give us donuts not elixir.
I put 45 nerds in strangers towns overnight and only on castles. I wake up to between 1500 and 2500 elixir every day. It’s not hard to earn. Who in the world would spend 1000 donuts for 4000 elixir? Maybe last week when the event was a day old people fell for it, but not after a week of playing.

I finally hit the last prize today .. no no elixir for me, now to just keep leveling up to get walls for Castle Recycle and Castle Cardboard.
Hopefully that means I should actually get the truck if I hit 9500 gold today! 😄 I’m close, but it’s taking longer since the defense payout dropped. At least I’m getting more cheater 20s!
You don’t get the truckload, just 1000
In speaking to EA, they WILL give you the 4000…but you have to reach out to them to get it. Post coming soon about it all.

Well, the hope of hitting 9500 on Wednesday didn’t work. 🙁 I followed all your troubleshooting tips including the use of another device and no luck their either. I’ve also uninstalled/reinstalled and cleared cache/data. Ticket has been submitted to EA, so hopefully I’ll get it resolved soon!
Bunny, I did reach out they told me they were working on it and to hope for the best… Didint sound like they were gonna give me anything lol

That elixir is ridiculously overpriced. (But what else to expect from EA?) For 1/10 of the price, I might consider buying some…

Don’t , infact everyone who is annoyed at the castle 3 tower situation should avoid buying any to speak to EA about how unacceptable it is.
