Sunday Night Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening?  Everyone enjoy their weekend?  Did you go to The Simpsons Live Show at the Hollywood Bowl?  Do anything fun and exciting?

Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right? No, it’s not time to eat questionable Fugu with Akira.  Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!  (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way!  You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So…here is your Sunday Night Open Thread.  Level 44 and Clash of Clones are in full swing.  With this week being 2 weeks since Level 44 hit, do you think something new will hit this week?   Yankees and Orioles are Sunday Night Baseball tonight.  And the 49ers and Bears are Sunday Night Football.  Which will you be watching?

So chat about the Simpsons, TSTO, update fun, MLB, NFL or anything else you can think of!  We can’t wait to chat with you all!

Elixir Wednesday Is Here Again!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just popping in to let it’s Wednesday…and that means that non-addictive Elixir is once again available in your game for today only (well and every Wednesday until the event is over).  So for today only you can purchase MORE elixir for donuts.

Something new EA is trying with this event…and you can only purchase currency 1 day a week (remember Elixir is required to purchase things AND level up your castles BUT it will not unlock prizes for you…only Gold can unlock prizes)…and that day is Wednesday.

Elixir will be available for purchase in your store from 0800GMT today (Wednesday) and run for 24hrs (until 0800GMT Thursday morning).   More details below the fold…

Clash of Clones Stuff (A Special Where Did THOSE Come From)

Attack! Defend! Destroy! Maim!  Invade!  Nerds!

Phew… way too much war in this Wookiee’s blood.  I keep waiting for someone to yell “MEDIC!” so I can go help them.  Wowza… we’re about 2 weeks into the Clash of Clones event and I figured it was time to start some WDTCF goodness for my favorite tappers.  Of course, a lot doesn’t even come from The Simpsons.  So, my thoughts on this whole thing are that EA decided somewhere in the writers/creative team offices that it’d be fun to turn the tables and do something different.  Additionally, one or two of them might have a grudge against a certain strategy game that is #1 in mobile apps.  The result of course is the current shenanigans we find ourselves in right now.

Of course, to lampoon something properly, you have to emulate it and I thought it’d be interesting to take a look at that.  First up, we have to know a bit more about the original item being made fun of.

Sunday Night Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening?  How was your weekend?  Do anything fun and exciting?  At the time of this post I will be enjoying all the sun, sand & surf the Florida Gulf Coast has to offer!  Soaking up every last minute of summer that I possibly can!

Anyway enough rambling from me….it IS Sunday and you know what that means, right?  No, it’s not time for a Cheeseburger in Paradise.  Nope it’s time for another Sunday Night Open Thread!  (this is very quickly becoming our favorite time of the week by the way!  You guys have some AWESOME things to say!)

EVER. is airing on FXX and winding down it’s final days are YOU watching?   (it all ends on 9/1 at 11:30pm)  Enjoying the old episodes?  Catching all of the items that are in TSTO?  The Clash of Clones is in full swing, are you enjoying the update so far?  Still a little confused on it all?  Sunday Night Baseball features the Indians vs. the Royals…will you be checking it out?  Labor day (or Labour Day) hits tomorrow for our US and Canadian friends, do you have anything special planned?

How are my favorite Addicted Tappers this evening?  How was your weekend?  Do anything fun and exciting?  I’m making the most out of the last few weeks of summer by spending the next few days down at the Jersey Shore, soaking in as much of the sand, sun & surf as I can!
