Christmas is over, Elves are gone, snow is gone and we’re all just sitting around waiting for the next big thing to hit our games. And what better time to keep us entertained during a little lull period than Gil? I don’t know about you but even if I don’t take his deals I just love having Gil in my town. He always cracks me up….
So Old Gil has returned to Springfield…this time with a Princess of a deal! For 175 Donuts Gil is offering a Princess Combo for Lisa. The Castle Equalia and Queen Helvetica Outfit for Lisa. 
And I know many of your are wondering if this deal is worth your donuts…especially with that clock ticking down (remember it ends at 0800GMT (3am EST) on 1/20/15). But before you hit that confirm spend button let’s break down all the pros and cons of adding this royal combo to your Springfield….

Pros
– Premium skin for Lisa, so her tasks earn at a premium rate (when she’s Queen Helvetica)
-Comes with a questline
-Cool looking castle, looks much better than the ones that came with CoC
-Lisa will use the castle
Cons
-Expensive especially since it doesn’t come with a new character, only a new skin for Lisa.
-No Conform-O-Meter Impact. No improvement, no bonus.
-Only 2 tasks are outdoors
Final Thoughts
I’m going to try something new with my final thoughts. I’m going to give you two POV on these, a freemium take & a premium take. Let me know your thoughts about it and if it’s something I should do in future Should I Buys…
Premium Take
While this offers no real bonus to my Springfield it’s still something I purchased. I like the way the castle looks & I thought it would go well in town, since I already have the Two-nicorn. However, with no real incentives to purchase this one (no conform bonus or impact) it’s going to come down to how many donuts you have on hand & whether or not you want it. This is purely a “I have to have it” purchase.
Freemium Take
Freemium players…stay away from this one. It’s over priced & not worth those free donuts you’ve earned. Aside from Lisa earning at a premium rate, if offers no added benefit for your Springfield. Especially since you’ll have to use Lisa in order to use the costume. So my advice is enjoy Gil in your town..but don’t take him up on this deal.
Of course in the end we can’t tell you what to do…we can only let you know what we did/didn’t do. In this case I purchased it…but I am a premium player and have a TON of donuts in my town from when Gil had the donut offer going. So, for me, I didn’t mind spending the donuts on it.

Errrrmmm.. Mild panic setting in! Huge empty spaces where wolfgangs mansion was, fat Tony’s compound, in fact, an entire strip of land is now bare! And the houses and characters missing are available for me to buy.. Again. What.. What is happening!?

Couldn’t pass up the castle and the queen, noticed a few glitch issues after purchasing. Sent Lisa on her first task as queen and then once it was completed she disappeared!! Did basic troubleshooting, still missing 🙁 Contacted EA and spoke with a rep right away, they were unable to help and said a specialist would call me back shortly.
OOOOOOOoooh very odd. Will keep an eye on it. She worked fine in the two I played her on.
I also tried all troubleshooting steps and nothing has worked so far =(. SO many of my buildings are missing. Please keep us updated. Thanks Bunny =)

Same here! My game is all jacked up. Too much missing to even list. Reinstalling is not working. Going to have to contact EA. I’m freaking out too lol

I totally bought it! I decided to embrace the castles given from the Winter/CoC/Princess events/Gil deal and I made a kingdom! Introduce some Rigellians and scatter the blue mages and red knights among some Rigellian shrubs…looks like a medieval/futuristic battle for Springfield! Ah…I love this game.
Was hoping Level 49 would drop but still cool to see the castle. As a premium player, I will be passing due to possible upcoming content that could be added.
I love the freemium/premium takes on it, what a cool idea. I do think the freemium one should go first though, then the premium.
It goes perfectly with the other castle stuff we got a while ago. So its kind of a MUST HAVE for me especially since I had all the other castle stuff it only makes sense to have this with all that. It adds more to it. Just wish there was more to this tiny update/offer besides just 1 item.

Same: The premium vs freemium comparison is perfect. I’d like to see this being done with future offers as well.
As a freemium player, I wish the Gil deals would involve characters like Barney, Crazy Cat Lady, Disco Stu that are required to use some of the items that have been sitting unused in my for awhile now.
All those WERE just on a massive Gil Sale not that long ago.
I like the new break down keep it. The only question I have is on the definition of terms. What makes me a premium player versus freemium? I have bought donuts in the past and I may do so in the future, but only sporadically.
I only have 20 donuts and no spare cash right now, so I will be missing out on this deal
Freemium… those that get all they can for free and rarely or never pay for donuts (only use ones earned)
Premium… Invests money all the time in the game. Has pretty much everything every released. Has no problem buying items with donuts.
Another two thumbs up for the freemium/premium take. It was a no-brainer must-have for me. Lisa is my favorite Simpson. Now I want a Genesis Tub and Goddess Lisa!
Hello.. I’ve searched and searched the site, found many cool things to read about.. but what I was hoping to find was a post about what sort of things can be brought over from Springfield to Krustyland? I know we could move Eater fences and such.. but any word on the CoC items? Christmas? Sorry if this is a pain.. I’d just really like to clear up some space and I think the castles and such would look good in Krustyland. Thank you
Most are posted throughout the Random Changes post…as well… they keep randomly changing. Lol.
Every update I check to see if the CoC castle walls can go, but as of now it’s still no. Hopefully they eventually open it up so I can use all those walls I bought to redesign KL…
I did purchase this but then I noticed so many problems with my Springfield. I have not noticed since this new update until just now maybe someone else is having this problem. my brown houses when I tap them the money just vanishes, my police station nothing happens when you tap it. I have all the buildings available to buy from the store that I already have including the church and the prison. Way too many problems to actually list here deleting the game and reinstalling did nothing and I don’t know if this is something that happened after I purchased the castle or if it’s been like this since the update and I haven’t noticed because I haven’t played 🙁
I tried to store some of the buildings like the prison because snake is missing and many other problems and after I stored it my whole town glitched out and everything disappeared. Guess I’m going to have to contact EA. So sad right now 🙁

Try a complete uninstall and reinstall of the app if you have not. Clear out all the cache/data for it from your device, uninstall, restart device, resinstall. Try again.
Thanks. I did not try clearing out data. I have to wait until I’m done with work to try though. It’s killing me! lol

Its a remnant from the main questline for Christmas.
So is it permanent?
No. Mine are all gone. I think it varies on where in the main questline you were at the time of the change out. Do you still show any tasks from the event in your task menu?
No tasks still show and Bart is currently on a task so I don’t know if it’s still there. Maybe it takes a while for players here in New Zealand to get back to normal.
I used my precious donuts to buy Santa’s Village. Santa Homer’s skin not paying premium wages on tasks . Is this because it was such a steal? Can’t wait to see the castle in a neighbor’s town ,who buys everything!
It never did pay. No notations as to why
Only his 6 hour task (“Do the Rounds” or something like that) pays premium, the others do not for some unjust reason.

I nearly bought it. Then I realized that it would look good, but it is overpriced nice building, but just skin for Lisa – so bought Manjula instead, as she will give premium plus Lisa will stay on normal earnings.

I’m a (mostly) premium player and have the donuts to spend. I love fantasy-themed items. Lisa needs a premium skin, and I look forward to her walking around town listing to music… I have the Twonicorn to go with it… And I have already thought of a place where this castle will look great. It’s too bad there’s no Conformity Rating, but I think this is still going to be a buy for me…
Like the new final thoughts, and fully agree with both. This is a bit on the high end price for a premium skin and building. But castle+princess means must buy for me :). I’ve been wanting to take down boxingham palace and castle recycle for a while now, this will go nicely in place of one. If there’s a way to trap two-nicorn inside the castle that would be awesome too. I never buy NPCs but regretted not picking that one up in CoCs. We just need butterflies now to go with the rainbows 🙂
Oops that’s not clearly worded… have the flu… meant trapping two-nicorn inside the castle area such as with a road that doesn’t connect anywhere.

Go to the Main menu (where you see Gil Deal) and scroll to the right… it will be there. 🙂

You scrolled all through the very first screen that popped up? I also found it in the regular Menu Icons for Characters. (Bart, Homer, Santa’s lil helper)
Could it be because I bought it a while ago? Maybe you can’t have two?
It is unique, so you can only have 1 in your town. So yes…that’s why you can’t see it in the menu.
I like your split information. I also picked up some Christmas donuts as gifts, but I will pass on this one and save them for future purchases.
Saw this and had to buy. My inner Disney addict just needed a real castle not what we got in CoC and it is for a princess. Didn’t even wait for the should you buy breakdown. LOL That being said I do like how you broke down the should you buy.
Thank so much for including a Premium and a Freemium take. As a Freemium player, donuts are few and precious. And a lot of “should I buy” entries don’t reflect that. Glad to see you include that perspective here (and in the future too, hopefully!).

Does the castle animate at all? I wish EA would place these items like this in their “Other Springfeild” so we can get a feel of them before buying. I’m on the fence about this one. It’s cool looking, but we have so many castles and palaces now. Still deciding. Thanks.
Yes. The flags on it wave when Lisa is there on a task. I will have to look if it did more than that.
Now would be the time to offer Lisa’s friend to us for 50 donuts to complete the ensemble. COME ON EA…do it…DO IIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT.
