Hey Howdy Hey Super Tappers!
The week long speculated Superhero Event is Here! Currently it’s live on Google Play, iOS and Kindle!
Remember this is an App Store update, so you’ll have to check your stores for the latest version. If you don’t see it in your app store, and it’s out, hard close your store app and reopen it. If you still don’t see it restart your device. Should bring it up.
As always more details on the way as soon as we go through them…remember we’ll be updating as we go, so keep refreshing this post for the latest info.
Also note, Homer needs to be free for the first part.

First thing you’ll notice is Springfield has a new look & everything (dialogue included) is in Comic Book format! Pretty sweet looking touch!
As mentioned above you’ll need Homer free for the first part. He’ll have a 30 minute task and then you’ll unlock….PIE MAN!
(Free)
Pie Man will then have a hilarious 4hr task, to throw pies at Springfielders. Lisa will then need to be free to start Part 3. You’ll then be tasked to build the Superior Squad HQ. This will cost you $500 and comes with Fall Out Boy! This is also a 4hr Build.
Once you’ve gotten Fall Out Boy you’ll see this video play…
At that point you’ll then see the Event stuff unlock! You’ll also be tasked with tapping Criminals to earn the game currency, Carbon Rods.
Details for all will below…
Now let’s get to the new stuff….
Superior Squad HQ- $500, 4hr Build. 5×6 in size. Comes with Fall Out Boy. This is upgradeable..
Wrecked Brown House- $50,000 (You can buy as many as you want. Currently NOT functioning as a building. No payout. Not tappable.)
Fruit Bat Signal- $5,000 (You can buy as many as you want)
Premium
Tar Pits- 175 Donuts. Earns $150, 13xp/8hrs. 11×9 Comes with Petroleus Rex
Crap Silo- 100 Donuts. Earns $150, 13xp/8hrs. 4×4. Comes with Spiderpig!
Superior Squad Member- 90 Donuts. Just like the hunting license from Halloween. This will double the rewards for capturing criminals in friends towns
New Characters
Fall Out Boy- Comes with the Superior Squad HQ
Petroleus Rex- Comes with the Tar Pits
Spider Pig (Plopper)- Comes with the Crap Silo
New Currency
The currency for this Event, at least right now, are Carbon Rods.
Collecting Carbon Rods will help you earn the prizes for Issue 1.
Issue 1 Prizes
Like other events, this one will be released in Phases. Here are the prizes you can win for Issue 1:
Arbitrarium- 400 .
Once unlocked you can earn more by tapping on the Criminals. Arbitrarium will help you upgrade the HQ. Each upgrade does various things, like gives you more currency etc.
Burns State Prison- 7,000
Clownface- 18,500
Other Issues
Again, this will be released in phases…4 total phases, 3 prizes per phase. So there will be a total of 12 prizes all together. Here are the release days for each phase (so far)
Issue 2- 2/24/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Issue 3- 3/10/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Issue 4- 3/24/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
The understanding is that all of the other stuff will lock out on the 24th when Phase 4 launches, and the actual event itself will end on the 31st of March. BUT you’ll have to get everything else in game before the 24th.
You can also get a sneak peak of what prizes are for each phase by tapping on it in the game. However, here’s a quick rundown for Issues 2 and 3 (again Issue 4 is still a mystery at this point)

Will require the collection of Freeze Rays

Criminals
Right now there’s only 1 type of Criminal in our games and they look like this:
Tapping on the Criminals will give you Carbon Rods (15 per Criminal to start) and occasionally Arbitrarium (see info on it above). Remember Carbon Rods will earn you prizes for Issue 1 and Arbitrarium will help you upgrade your HQ.
The spawn rate on the Criminals is at least 1/ 5 mins and you can have a Max in your town of 30 at one time.
HQ Upgrades
As with events past, you can upgrade your Superior Squad HQ for even more power & currency when tapping Criminals!
Once you’ve unlocked the Arbitrarium prize, you’ll unlock the ability to upgrade your Superior Squad HQ.
Arbitrarium looks like this and will occasionally pop out of Criminals (in addition to Carbon Rods) when tapped. Think Cog Wheels with Christmas.
Friend Visits
AFTER you’ve tapped your first 20 Criminals you’ll unlock the ability to go to friends towns and arrest/report criminals (to earn more Carbon Rods).
Here’s what you can do. You can either Arrest Criminals in their towns (Tapping on them) OR Report on them (tapping on the phones over Buildings).
Phones look like this 
For each arrest you make (tapping on Criminals) you’ll earn 3 Carbon Rods.
For every report you make (tapping on the Red Phones) you’ll earn 1 Carbon Rod.
You can tap 3 Criminals/town AND 3 Phones per town, for a total of 12 Carbon Rods/neighbor.
We’re checking into a couple of things at the moment…like number of actions/day you’re limited too & if the counts go down at all. Once we have numbers/details we’ll update this post with it.
Now…when you return to your Springfield if you see a red phone Radioactive Man’s Glowing Signal, if you tap on it right away you’ll get 4 Carbon Rods. (a gift from your neighbors) 
We’re also checking to see if this declines & by how much with time.
Note: As long as you’ve reached the part in the questline, AFTER you’ve cleared the first 20 Criminals…you’ll be able to earn rewards from both tapping phones and Criminals from visiting neighbors. Even if they haven’t started the event. Both will appear in their towns for you to tap. However, if you don’t clear the first 20 Criminals and reach the part of the questline telling you to go into neighbors towns and Arrest Criminals/Report on them…you won’t earn Carbon Rods from tapping Criminals, only from reporting on them. So make sure you clear the questline first BEFORE visiting neighbors.
Remember: If you buy the Membership Card you’ll earn double Carbon Rods in Neighbor’s Towns.

For some completely mystifying reason the Pig is named “Propper” in the German version of the game, not “Plopper”. I really wonder what kind of translation program they are using…

Neat random update with this event (and sorry if it was mentioned somewhere else)!! When rearranging your town and storing items into inventory, if you have more than one item within close proximity, it automatically clicks the nearest similar item after storing the one before so you don’t have to keep clicking everything!! (I hope that made sense!) Thanks EA!! And thanks Addicts for everything you do!
No update for kindle. Did un and re-install.. Restarted kindle. Nothing. Any idea when it will come? Thanks much.

By far the best event they’ve released. Loving everything on this one! I bought new land just for this event and can’t wait to build the “Superhero Town” in my Springfield. Thanks for everything you do guys!

Already in love with this update, and I just visited all my friends and I found that you always get carbon rods when you tao in houses but about halfway through my neighbours (I have the max amount) i just received money. Not sure when it stopped, but at least you still get some rods from every neighbour!
Yea so happy!! Should I, should I not use donuts to speed it up…. So many life changing decisions lolololol. I love my addicts team they are the bomb and the greatest!!!!
I’m not sure if anyone has asked this yet but if you tap the phones in other towns that normally would be vandalism will they still be vandalized or not? Ex: Police Station, Springfield Elementary, Moe’s. The reason I ask is because they don’t have the spray paint cans over them now. Now they have a phone. I don’t want to vandalize someone’s town accidentally.

This part is a spoiler, so I’ll let you decide if it shows up. Tapping a building in friend’s town activates the animation!!! So excited to finally get a chance to see buildings I never have and those we only saw once!!! Such a great feature to add to the event!

No… Kindle is always behind. Sometimes a day. Hang in there… this is a LONG event so you will have plenty of time. 😉

I contacted Amazon-they say game developer hold up. EA just tells me to uninstall reinstall and they also directed me to the Halloween update thread saying that support checks those and will update my game directly-fat chance of that I say. Really, really wish I had chosen anything other than Kindle as my Christmas gift. I can play on my phone, but it’s so small.

Issue with the Kindle version; the game loads and up pops a screen notifying me an update is necessary. So far so good. But when I tap the Update button, it takes me to the game’s link in the Amazon App Store, but then when I tap the “Open” button on the App Store page it takes me back into the game and again notifies me of an update that’s needed. Round and round and round…
Is this specific to me, or are other Kindle users having issues?
Try shutting down and restarting it. The Kindle updates always hit later…sometimes a day later.
I can’t get that far, just the regular town. I’ve tried everything, it’s frustrating to have to wait.
I’m on apple and for some reason, to update, I must first delete the game (and all data-so do at your own risk), then reload the entire game, but so far have been able to then log back in and play the updates. Takes a long time but my device won’t let me update the app without first deleting it?!?!?
@C Robinson — you probably don’t have enough memory to update the normal way. You need enough free space for the entire app to download into, and install. Once that happens, the original files will normally be deleted. If you don’t have enough space for that, you need to manually delete the app first, then when you download it, there will be enough space.
Sweet. Worth the long wait.

Got the update on android but it won’t let me into the game! Every time it crashes! Grrrrr do I need to uninstall? If so will have to wait till after work! Feel left out! HAHAHA have fun everyone
It is a BIG file… so make sure you got room and a good strong signal for it.
Purchased Spider pig, he’s totally worth it.
“Voiced” with a couple different pig sounds, and has tasks, 2-3(I forgot) are outside and use the silo. One he roles in the mud next to it, the other he ‘does whatever a spider-pig can’ with it… 🙂

Hey everyone. This event is amazing! Something I just noticed when visiting friends towns, when you tap on the red phone above the buildings, it activates the animation on that building so if you tap on the sequal stop, or other buildings you don’t often get to see the animation, you can now see it. That s cool. I was also wondering what is the point of buying the destroyed brown houses? $50,000 is pretty expensive if it is the same as regular brown houses. Once again, I must say this website is “super” awesome, so thanx for all the info and have fun.

Got so excited by the news that I did as suggested and requested neighbours. First time I have done this Thank you to the tappers that responded. BUT had no idea that the Springfield I have in Origin is different to the Springfield I normally play in. Now find myself in a level 7 town with 4 buildings and characters. I thought I was inviting neighbours into my fabulous level 49 town with 100’s of characters and buildings so big apologies to all.
Got a message that said other Springfield not saved on other device and could lose content, this may seem a silly qs to more experienced players but how do I do this?
As I am house bound at the moment I play every day, many times, so am happy to build up the Origin Springfield but don’t want to lose my other town as I have too much invested.

If you have another game that is NOT linked to Origin, you can just make an account for it. Or just watch on the opening screen when you launch the game, it will show you the Origin ID name you are using for that game.
As far as the “Other Device” do not worry… that is a common issue. Just means you left your game really fast so it thinks you are still in there. Just play on and continue and you will be back to business as usual.
FYI… you will want to put your neighbor/friend requests in the appropriate location on our site.

A Quick question:
iplibrarian (previous post in this thread) said you can now tap on buildings to reanimate them – Bad Dream House for example. How so? If I tap on that or SequelStop nothing happens except the task/payout etc info pops up.
(Btw, I just started Pie Man on his 4hr pie hurling quest, if that makes a difference in the re-animation ability? Not assuming it would..)

Speaking of Pie Man hurling pies I noticed he’s hurling pies at the NPCs too. It’s hilarious watching him pitch pies at the Raven, Egg Council Guy, and mutant peacock. Best of all he’s hurling them at the Mutant Rabbits!

As far as the animation, wait til someone taps your town. A LOT of buildings will have the “report a crime” option on them, so when tapped…some come alive. Still going through it all.
No Radioactive Man or Radioactive Man skin for Wolfecastle. Event is young though, im sure EA will offer more as the game progresses.
So happy I kept back my donuts since Christmas (aside from Brandine during Valentines). Getting Spider-Pig first chance I get.
Its barely a few hours in… give it time. Lol.
Im totally digging the whole comic book look of this event, it looks so awesome! And thank god i found this amazing site. Now hopefully i can unlock all the prizes and avoid major blunders like i did in the Christmas event.
