Well like many of us predicted, EA was too quiet these last few weeks so we all thought something was going to hit! And something sure did hit, a fun little summer sporting event…complete with Homer making up the rules! (is there anything better than a game where Homer makes up the rules as he goes along?)
So for this first Act (kinda funny how they’re still going with Acts, something tells me they didn’t changes the coding from Terwilligers), as always, you’ll be greeted with a questline to walk you through the game basics and help you collect more currency to earn prizes!
Now, let’s take a look at the Turbo Tappin’ walkthrough for Act 1…
Note: There are some additional questlines indicated in the files that have not popped up for me. This is exactly how it played out in my game

When playing your neighbors a Flag must appear over their stadium in order to play. It will look like this:
If you don’t see the Flag over their field, you cannot play them. So just move to a different town.

I just want to make sure I’m not missing something. You can only play a Tap Ball game every 4 hours (unless you rush). So to win 10 games against neighbors will take at the very least 40 hours, or several days.
At present there is no way from the friend screen to see who has even reached a playable point, so I’m having to visit every friend, look for a flag, decide if I’ll play them when my players are ready some hours in the future, and then worry that I don’t use up my friend actions for the event purposes when I come back 4, 8, 12 hours later. I confirmed that if I tapped a neighbor’s fans their flag goes away, so I can’t also play a game against them.
So I’m very confused how I’m supposed to not lock myself out of playing games again neighbors and yet still tap fans in neighbor’s towns. Wait until I’m going to leave the game to sleep and then visit all the remaining towns for their fans, having played as many games as I can against them? A smart strategy is eluding me.
As usual, I would VERY VERY LOST without you guys, and I’m very appreciative of all the information the mods give PLUS the helpful comments people leave.
As you are in a Neighbors town… you will see a Flag Icon in the upper Right Top Corner. Tap that… it will take you to a Neighbors Town with ability to play. Or at least it did for me.
In your own game, tap on stadium, then play then at BOTTOM of the box where you would select your own players,tap instead select an opponent
It will show who you can play as friends (ready)
For random click upper right flag in game (near stopwatch)
The patch seems to have cleared up for me the problem of having to choose either playing a game OR tapping on my neighbor’s fans. Now tapping fans doesn’t make the flag disappear; they are clearly two tracks of activity. So less confused now!
Is there a way to increase the chances of earning foam fingers? I’ve only gotten around 20 or 25 today. Does logging in and out of Tapped Out help?
What do you mean? Earning them where?
Most of them are strategic moves. Putt higher star players against lower for better odds of a win and higher payout. Win more games for more payout. Go in your game often to tap Fans once triggered to earn more.
Basically… just play. As you progress, you will unlock more and more options to earn them.
You earn a lot as a bonus for the daily task. Plus the quest tasks. They will start to add up faster than you realize.
Ok. So as much as I like this game. Cool event. BUT, I had to delete 2 of my Neighboreenos. Why, you ask? (or not). Because we were not 12 hours into the game and they have 5 stars. This kind of event is meant for the rich and the “I have nothing else to spend my money on”, crowd. I was disgusted to see 5 STARS, already. I don’t think its FAIR, and definitely not in the spirit of completion. Wins are earned, not BOUGHT. Seems like they took a page strait out of FIFA’s book. I DO LIKE THIS EVENT. It is the money aspect that dampens the competitiveness of the game. Something to think about. 🙂
Actually… no… there IS a glitch. Allowing many to upgrade players for nothing. Just read the comments. 😉
Agreed. I was able to upgrade some for 0 donuts but it quickly caught up to me before I could do the rest. I’m sure many people abused it while they could
Just logged in and got an update that fixed Flander’s lunge task, so maybe it fixed the 0 donut glitch too?

I can’t get the Balls of Glory pt 4 to start I have Lisa free and I tried going to krustyland and back. Is there something else I can do.

it has finally worked itself out and started the quest
This is a great event but I’m having real trouble with the matches. Playing with a neighbour is nearly impossible for me. Had to try for about 4 hours to be able to complete Balls of Glory Pt. 4 because the game crashed the moment I tried to select the opponent player. Did not have this problem when the games where in my Springfield… Have been trying to contact EA but to no avail, no advisor picks up my chat even though the quoted waiting time is under 5 minutes. At this point I’m not sure if this is a game issue or a problem with my own device, but the rest of the gameplay runs fine… It’s really frustrating!
This update looks pretty nice! It just updated on my devices so I haven’t spent much time playing it yet, but I’m enjoying it so far. Wish I had Jasper! I’m not willing to spend more donuts right now though, just spent a lot of them during the sale.
I hope more characters will get to play! I assume so since Bart and Marge are part of the collection, but I guess it won’t be until next part.
For some reason, the kick the soccer ball, bowl, and go long tasks are not visual for me, but they are in my friends towns. What gives?
How do you mean? During Tap Ball Competition? Or something else?
I had tasks for Lisa to practice kicking a soccer ball, Nelson to go long, and for Apu to bowl, all of which I’ve seen them doing in neighbors towns outside the stadium. My characters however disappeared in front of the stadium.
could you make a how-to win some games? i still dont understand when to press the flag or anything else, it just seems random ^^
Coming… Watch the star level under each one. The Character with the HIGHER star rating will most likely win the round.
Hi I encoutered a small problem today. I somehow received Nelsons football skin without buying it from the store. I clicked on the skin in the store and I can do his questline. My problem is that i can’t use him in fights or upgrade him. It tells me to buy him on the football screen but i can process the action eventhough I have the 85 donuts.

Yup, it’ll be a little bit before it’s out, but there will be one.
So it looks like to me that the key to this event is earning as much “Amature Bucks” as quickly as possible, and upgrade players. Has anyone come up with a strategy yet? Is there a “best” way to play the event?
On a side note…I discovered a teeny weenie glitch. I went to upgrade Lisa. She had about two minutes left in her fatigue mode. I pressed upgrade, and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade Lisa now for 0 doughnuts. I of course said yes. So that was kind of interesting. I couldn’t do that for any of the other players. I will have to heck this out again if the opportunity appears again. I maybe imagining it. Not sure.
Do you get higher rewards for playing tap ball against one of your neighbors than you do playing single player?
No. Same reward on either.
Problem needs fixing. Im trying to build a stadium, but, i have a problem doing so with the stadium fence’s, they dont connect!!!
so i now cant build stadium fence as its going to have a gap on the corner.
ok, they can connect but only facing outward, they cant connect facing inward

I’m visiting neighbours and tapping on their fans, but I am only receiving $ & xp ( not really a bad thing) but I’m pretty certain it should be event currency. (Foam fingers) Am I wrong or is this only happening to me?
Depends on IF you triggered the ability from Questline and IF you have not already used up all your Daily Actions before the 24hr reset.
Okay, after over three hours if reading these posts, I think I’d better take a break before I post the “wah, wah, wah” response I really want to make to some of these comments here…
The good thing about being sick is that I have more time to read comments and pay the game. The bad thing about being sick is I have a lot less patience with people/things than I might otherwise.

I’m not really into soccer, so at first I was a bit disappointed by the theme of this event, but once I saw, what it has to offer, I quickly changed my mind. Totally love this new system with the matches. Glad to see, that the developers still have fresh, new ideas after such a long time. It’s a pity though, that there are only 5 free playable characters (with Burns). And the prizes of Act 1 are a bit sparse. Anyway my first impression is more than positive!
Any tips to get ticket stubs? I accidentally bought stadium fence instead of Obesotade, now I’m stuck in balls of glory pt 2 with only 127/400 stubs. 16 hour task at KBBL only gives 16 tickets. Not getting many at Tap Ball and I’m hesitant to spend donuts just to complete this section

I don’t receive foam fingers when I tap on fans in the Springfields of my neighbouhrs. I get only money. Am I the only one?
It’s possible you’ve completed your allotment of actions for the day.
Thanks for your reply. But I did not receive a single foam finger from my neighbour’s fans. It’s not that I don’t receive them anymore, but from the beginning. Shouldn’t I get some from my neighbours before the alllotment is completed?
That depends on a few things… first… if you triggered the Neighbor Visits in your town. Secondly, you have NOT used up a single Neighbor Visit in the 24hrs Neighbor timer when you tapped them.
So … if you are NOT to the proper part in Questline, you will not see them.
If you already visited neighbors BEFORE triggering the Fans and tapped on buildings or did Tap Play in Neighbors… and used up all your Visits/Daily Actions… you will only get the $$$/XP/FP/ETC
Go to your main Neighbor screen. If you see timers on ANY of them… it is very likely you already cleared and used your 3 Daily Actions and have to wait for the 24hr reset. (This event it seems like it is about 45 Actions… still checking)

Help Alissa my tap ball quest part 4 didn’t start and I e upgraded Lisa and homer and bought Nelson but now I’m out of donuts and apu on 7 day kiwi market before this whole quest started. If I finish everything in my town collecting money will it maybe start if I go to krustyworld

Give it a little bit of time, it’ll pop. In my game last night I ran the questline and part 5 didn’t trigger till this morning.
Mine won’t trigger either and going to Krustyland doesn’t help.

I have some questions, I don’t know if you can answer it all. But, starting:
1) Do you already know if there will be donuts prizes after we’ve finished each act?
2) Can we use the character to play with it in a match if (s)he is occupied with some task? Or do we need to have them free to use in a match?
3) Are you going to make a calendar with the prizes the way you have done with the last update (the one about sidebob)?
4) Do you know if have this game invented by Homer screened at one of the episodes?
5) Are you going to make an informational inventary about all the prizes?

Stuck waiting for the Flanders part of the neighbours town task to load. Closed and visited KLand a few times with no joy. Will just leave it a while and see what’s what later.
Used a few donuts so ahead of the curve anyway.
And…. Patience was all I needed. Now to beat 10 other Springfields.

Many forms of football use hands, Rugby Football, Australian Rules Football and so on. It’s Association Football (soccer) that is exclusively feet and acting ability of course.

Lol – my husband was a rugby player in high school (and college)….he thinks American football players are wusses for wearing all of that protective gear!

They’ll popup as the questline moves. If you’ve completed the part before and the next one didn’t trigger try going to Krustyland and back to Springfield, that should help it trigger.

How do I get him, he’s not showing up in my game. I’ve noticed other people mention it too. I also thought he wasn’t available until the 3rd of July.
From what I understand Gorgeous Grandpa was a limited time skin from either another event or episode tie-in.
