We certainly didn’t think EA would forget about Independence Day in Springfield but honestly, I thought this would hit tomorrow (Wednesday)…so my apologies this is a bit late. Was settled in for the night watching USA soccer!
Anywho…we’ve got ourselves a little 4th of July update, inside Tap Ball!
As always we’ll be back with more info once we go through it, but for now know that it should auto-start for you with some dialogue from Homer…
As it says above, once you start up your game you’ll see some dialogue from Homer. This starts the Monetization Liberation questline. (we’ll cover this in full in a turbo tap post tomorrow)….

Nixon: WHY DO YOU SAY THAT? TELL ME, AND BE QUICK ABOUT IT– IS NIXON REMEMBERED AS AMERICA’S MOST ABHORRENT POLITICAL SCOUNDREL?
Lisa: Well, uh…kinda.
Nixon: AND ALL BLAME FOR THE SCANDAL THAT ENDED MY PRESIDENCY RESTS ON DICK NIXON’S SHOULDERS?
Lisa: Pretty much.

Nice! Though I recently unfollowed Nixon on Twitter, I have adopted him for my Springfield. Love the design of the hotel.
Kind of coveting the other Presidents – but in the end they are too expensive for me and donuts are starting to run a bit low. Nixon shall suffice!

I picked up rex and the nighthawks immediately and thankfully got the 100 donuts jackpot to get Nixon and scandal gate, was an awesome update, v exciting. I want Washington, Lincoln and guiseppe but it’s too expensive, so mebe next year.
Personally, I think Giuseppe should’ve been freemium, since all of us got him for in-game cash last year. Seems only fair, and his questline is very funny!
Does he interact with other characters after his questline or is that it? I am tempted to buy Guiseppe, but not if he only has his line and nothing more.
He has a full set of tasks, like most characters, but none of them interact with any other characters (they’re all solo tasks). And he’s voiced now, although the volume level is pretty low.
He isn’t playing with a full set 😉
Only during the questline, then afterwards, he has no interaction.

does it say in the files when these items leave the game? im trying to hold off spending for now (priorities) but will only grab them on the last day if possible…

Did anyone else noticed that the Rainbow trees got a darker blue segment in the lighter blue greenery of the tree?
They got Purple 🙂

So happy I can finally get Rex Banner, I’ve been wanting him for about a year now!
I’m really trying to reel in the premium purchases, but had to get Lincoln, Washington, and Rex. I’m considering Nixon, just not sure where I can fit in the hotel. But I also want to hold on to my donuts for Tap Ball stuff in the next two acts. Decisions!
I bought the nighthawk diner straight away. Been wanting it for a while. Love the Scandal gate hotel but not Nixon. If Obama came with it I would buy it instantly. I don’t care what he does in the game!
In fact, I want my very own walking , talking President Obama! I’d pay a million donuts for him!
I think there’s a pattern with deceased Presidents in the game…I don’t think we’ll see Obama.
I would like to have Van Buren, being of Dutch descent or one of the Roosevelts. Gill mentions the last In his spech when you rejects his offer.

Bought the Nighthawk Diner immediately, has been on my Top 10 must have’s for quite some time. I want the Prez’es more for their accoutrements, but I need the addicts input. This Spring I saw this beautiful tree in my Neighbor’s Springfields. I finally got it when I saw GW trying to cut it down. That’s a lot of donuts for that tree. Abe Lincoln falls under a lot of event categories and his log cabin would blend well but I don’t particularly want old presidents as my Springfield residents. Finally, a lot of my Neighbors have the hover copter really well placed, I’ve wanted my chance at it- but 70 donuts? Seems awfully steep for a decoration. Help Me TSTO Addicts, Help Me!
Don’t buy the hover copter. Seriously. It’s not worth it.
I tried to play after it downloaded updates and it took me straight to the opening movie when you first start the game despite being logged into my account, so I’m lovin this awesome update.
That happens from time to time. Try hard closing and restarting. If that doesn’t work try and uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn’t work try logging in from another device…all of those methods have worked for me when it’s happened to me. If all else fails, contact EA.
Any chance for a ‘should you buy’ for Giuseppe and his hut? He’s cheap so I might go for it anyway. I only started playing in December so I missed him when he was free. I also love the cherry tree and was wondering where it came from but 180 donuts is a bit steep just for a tree as nice as it is to look at.

Yea at Christmas, for like 3 days and when I was away. So I never had the chance to evaluate him from a premium prospective.
I’ve never regretted getting Giuseppe. I placed his cottage next to my Stonecutter’s Lodge, they blend nicely and he livens up the compound. I like the building animation and his outdoor tasks. I just wish his audio was a little louder, it’s very low- like Don Vittorio. EA should take the volume from Arnie Pye and give it to those two.
Keep in mind the cherry tree comes with George Washington, that’s why it costs more donuts.
Yes, finally got Washington, Lincoln, Rex, Nixon, Giuseppe, Lincoln Memorial, some American flags, Liberty Bell, some box of fireworks the new ones and the ones from last year and Lisa statue of Liberty…first 4th of July playing Tapped out so I missed out the last two years. Might get more American flags and fireworks before it ends..do we have 8 days left for the 4th of July items?
Well I’ve just seen elsewhere that we get kang once we have completed homers questline? I’m praying that’s he’s freemium 😄
Kang usually comes out at Halloween, so I don’t know about that. Honestly I have to run the questline myself and see what popsup.
Haha yes it does seem really random and dunno what it’s got to do with 4th July but I’m on the second part now and kang is in the dialogue and apparently we get him once Lisa and homer finish the second part of the questline?! Well I’m not complaining even if it is totally random haha 😄

Can someone tell me if Giuseppe is worth paying donuts for? Does he have a bonus at all? Also, your guide says Rex Banner has a bonus now but that doesn’t show when I look in the store, so does he have one?
Rex doesn’t have a bonus…characters/buildings dont come with Bonuses. Only decorations do (so since GW comes with the Cherry Tree decoration, the Cherry Tree has a bonus.).
Giuseppe isn’t a bad pick up, he’s got some fun actions. I’ve got to look at him as a premium character now though, since he was free last year.

Had to buy Nixon as voiced by the great Harry Shearer. If your have not seen Harry’s Youtube series “NIxon’s the One” in which he recreates some of the wieder parts of the Nixon tapes, you must.
AaaarrrOoooOOOOOO! Tricky Dick without headless Agnew… (Again, not sure if this is a good or bad sign regarding a future Futurama Event). The Scandal-Gate Hotel looks like it’s going to take up a lot of land.
The Presidential Estate without Bush… Huh. Hmmm.. Uh… Not even Ford.. I feel torn. What kind of fan would I be without it but as someone else said “Hope it can be a full 360 degrees”. ..yeah I know that you’ll lose the great design if you just see it’s backside but I don’t no if I can live with my OCD if I leave it as is… Maybe I should pass on that.
I think EA is doing psychological experiments on us. I imagine them in an office smoking a cigar saying “If they Buy the house alone for that many donuts, I’m sure they’ll spend even more donuts for G.Bush Sr. Next year”, “If they all jumped the gun and bought a regular Nixon they are going to spend even more for a Futurama Head-In-Jar Nixon” but then imagine the opposite of that conversation: “They didn’t go for it… Maybe we should make things a little cheaper just so they can be tormented by the debate whether or not to spend real money for fake donuts. whaaaa Ha Ha!!”

That’s how my son was when I was pregnant, VERY active, at one point I remember getting an ultrasound he was flipping & swimming , and when he stopped he was laying upside down. He never Sat still when I was pregnant with him and he still doesnt! Lol good luck with your pregnancy mama it’s a wild life changing ride xx.
The kid just has ants in their pants…just like my husband and I. Neither one of us can ever sit still lol
Good thing that I’m already done with Act 1 stuff as of yesterday afternoon, so that I have some time to spend on the 4th of July questline. I wasn’t even intending to work my butt off for the bonus donuts this time, anyway.
Nixon! Yes, finally. The previous presidents may mean much more to Americans, but for us foreigners Nixon is definitely the most iconic when it comes to Matt Groening cartoons. Also, he comes with a great building while the older presidents were quite lackluster with just the log cabin and tree. They should have come with the Lincoln Memorial (the full building, nut just the statue) and Washington Monument.
I bought Nixon purely for the futurama mems I just wish he’d mentioned Agnew (or came with his headless clone). His quest line has me intrigued so far.
Nighthawk Diner for the win!!! Stoked to add this building to me town. I’ve been admiring in friends towns for a while and the combo price is a steal.
I’d buy George Washington as the tree looks cool and he has a chopping tree animation over Nixon. Curious though will George Washington u think ever be used for quests. As I am probably going to buy Bart’s skin since it comes with a premium character also. Just need some premium characters that can be used in future events besides the usual suspects.
