Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Springfield Heights has arrived in Springfield and finally there’s some decent expansion going on! Loads of new stores, mansions, decorations and a ton of new land…all just beyond the mountains!
This is a fun update, designed to take a while. So DO NOT RUSH IT! It’s here for the long haul, and not going anywhere. So take your time, enjoy it…don’t make yourself crazy with rushing everything, because I guarantee you you will get stuck at some point if you keep rushing.
EA has phased this expansion to have new stuff released as time moves on. So not everything for Springfield Heights is currently available (you’ll notice this if you go to Other Springfield, you’ll see some buildings there not currently available..like the Plastic Surgery Center). More is coming…so pace yourself and remember to have fun. I know it’s tempting to get everything done immediately, but there’s no prize for finishing first. Heck the quicker you finish the less you’ll have to do (since I promise you will get stuck at some point if you rush). Remember it’s a marathon…so relax and have fun with it!
Anywho, now let’s talk about something you’re all eager to know more about…Real Estate Points! How do you get them? What do they do? And how the heck can you get more of them and fast? Well, as always we’re here for you. So let’s break it all down, with some tips and tricks you can use to earn more!
As always let’s start with some basics….
What Are Real Estate Points?
Real Estate Points look like this
and think of them like XP (or even Event Currency). You accumulate them for doing various tasks, builds, upgrades etc in Springfield Heights and in return you can unlock more character tasks, more upgrades, more decorations and earn prizes from Red Blazer Realty!
It Says I Need 1.5 million
to unlock the next decoration, If I “Use” Them Do I Lose Them?
Nope, not at all. Real Estate Points, unlike the other currency (
), are cumulative. You will never “spend” them. They’ll stay a cumulative total for the life of TSTO…so everything you do in Springfield Heights that earns Real Estate Points will continue to add to your Real Estate total for the life of TSTO.
What Do I Used Real Estate Points For?
Real Estate Points are used for a couple of different things:
-To unlock new items in the store:

Various items in the store will remain locked until you earn enough
to unlock them. Similar to XP in Springfield..how you’re required to be at a certain XP level before items in the store unlock.
-To unlock new character tasks at the currency buildings (Furniture Store, Coffee Shop, Institute of Tech, etc.) in Springfield Heights:
Character tasks will be locked until you reach certain
requirements….
-To earn new prizes from Red Blazer Realty:
How Do I Earn Real Estate Points?
You’ll earn Real Estate Points by completing some questlines, buying items in the store and purchasing/upgrading Condos, Mansions, Office Buildings and Valet Parking. (we’ll cover this all in detail in a bit)
So now that we’ve covered the basics. Let’s break it down and give you some tips to earn more Real Estate Points at a decent rate, especially if you’re stuck.
First thing I’m going to tell you…the Key to Earning More Real Estate Points is continuously spending/earning the Springfield Heights Currency (
). Earn it and spend it wisely.
For example…expanding your land won’t earn you any Real Estate Points BUT you should expand your land enough to unlock the currency buildings in Springfield Heights. Be smart about it. Don’t unlock all the land, just clear a short path to the next building. Try to find the quickest route, ie the least about of currency required, to get there.
However, spending currency to buy items in the store and upgrade condos, mansions, etc WILL earn you more Real Estate Points.
So just be smart about what you spend and how you spend it. Think before you tap.
So now, you’re stuck. You’re at 750k
but you need 1 million to progress, what do you do?
You’ve got a variety of options.
First you should know that Cookie Kwan as an 8hr task that will earn you 1,000
each time you complete it.
In addition to her task (and some stuff a little easier and quicker) you can purchase items in the store for Springfield Heights Currency. (look at what each item costs and how many
it pays out when purchased..there are some good deals) Here’s a breakdown of what each item in the store (as of the first release…as I said EA will be adding more as the weeks progress) costs and earns in
:
Deluxe Cond0- 15
…can only have 10 in Spingfield Heights.. (+200k
)

(+75,000

The premium items also earn loads of
. Check them out in the store to see what they’ll earn.
You’ll notice that a few of the items in the store are Condos, Mansions, Valet, Business Center etc. and they pay out a TON of
. This is KEY. My best advice for earning a TON of
is to BUY BUY BUY the Condos, Mansions, Valet Parking, Business Centers etc. You’re allow 10 of each per Springfield Heights. They’re inexpensive, they earn you a TON of
…oh and they can be upgraded to earn you even more
.
Start with the Deluxe Condo, since it’s the first one you’ll be able to unlock and just start buying. Each time you build one you’ll earn 200k
(so for 10 of them that’s 2 million, JUST for buying them). And upgrading will only earn you more. Then move onto the Mansion and other items. Each one will earn you more
.
Let’s break it all down…
Note: You will need questlines to unlock these. The questlines will trigger as you continue to complete the main questline. So if it hasn’t trigger for you yet, DO NOT PANIC. It just means you didn’t finish the right Springfield Heights questline yet in order to trigger it. Just continue to progress through the questlines and eventually it’ll trigger.
Starting with the Deluxe Condo..
Costs: 15 ![]()

The next option to unlock will be Valet Parking:

| 3 | 50 |
2.75 Million |
| 4 | 50 |

| 5 | 125 |
17.75 Million |
And finally (at least for now) we have the Modern Mansion:
Costs: 25 ![]()
Build Time: 8hrs
Earned for Building: 600,000![]()
Limit: 10/ Springfield Heights
Needed to Unlock: 6.2 million
and My Cubical Dream Pt. 1
Level Up Costs/Rewards:
| Level | Requires | Points for Completing |
| 2 | 50 |
1.5 Million |
| 3 | 25 |
3.29 Million |
| 4 | 30 |
9.26 Million |
| 5 | 30 |
21.19 Million |
So basically…Condo, Mansion, Valet, Business Center Farm. Get as many as you can and yield as many
from each as you can. That’s the best (and quickest) way to earn more
.
The downside? Each one takes 8hrs to build. But as long as you continue to grind currency you’ll be able to continuously upgrade and earn more
to unlock more tasks and prizes!
And there you have it my friends…the details behind Real Estate Points and how to earn them quickly when you’re stuck! Follow the methods above and you won’t be stuck for very long!
What are your thoughts on Real Estate Points? Have you been farming for them already? Are you spending your currency wisely or just buying everything you can? What are your thoughts on Springfield Heights so far? Are you taking your time, or rushing through it?

I just lost 32 donuts suddenly & after an intreasting chat with EA help was told my account would get credited but also…… This is happening to a lot of people, they are working in a patch, & they recommended my husband NOT perform this update so it will not happen to him too. I asked when he could update but it seems we were dealing with a language barrier & so I gave up. I figured you guys would know better what is going on. 😉.
Yup…
http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/07/23/the-great-donut-caper-missing-donuts-and-other-issues-with-springfield-heights/
Im trying to load my chat box with EA, but it has been about 30 minutes so far and the box says it should be around 5 so I’m not sure if it’s actually going to open. At least I have a case number, i guess?
Am I the only one who the update didn’t appear? I have an iPhone 6!
Did you download the update? You have to have downloaded the App Store update to remove tap ball, that will show Springfield Heights. You also have to be at Level 30 to see Springfield Heights
hello just a couple of things to say family what tiny who
family, what, tiny, who,is more than a couple of things, yet i dont know what they mean.
Howdy Tappers!
Just wanted to ask a few questions and hopefully receive some useful answers. How do I unlock the technology center ? And how do I get springfielders to produce devices. I need devices like yesterday.
I am getting grey hairs trying to figure it out, mabey I’m just stupid or need to read some more. HELP !
You have to clear a path via land…here’s the land map
http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/07/23/springfield-heights-101-new-land-costs/
why is there so much tapping involved? I know, the name of the game’s kind of selfexplaining but this? i need longer tasks, or i’ll not be able to keep up with this new expansion. enough’s enough O.O
It’s one of those spend an hr in your game (or more) at a time, and just grind. Works well when watching tv etc. Makes things move as fast or as slow as you want.
Woo Hoo, another Emma! Welcome to the addiction! 😉
I know that Emma is one of the top girl names now but back when I was growing up (35 now) I didn’t know a single one and highly resented my parents for the distinction. When people mistakenly called me Emily I often would not correct them. Now, of course, I love my name, but I still can’t bring myself to love Jane Austen like my mom did… (sad, huh?! Shh!) 😉

Hi Neighbor-eeno! Like your town design and like putting a name to the origin ID.

Since updating I haven’t been able to play. Keeps telling me it can’t connect to the server, been doing this for about 8-9 hours. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if it will be fixed soon since it doesn’t seem to be happening to any one else :\
Have you tried hard closing and restarting? That generally helps.
I’ve tried almost everything I can think of. restarting the game, restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling. It’s still giving me the message. Maybe it’s my phone that’s the problem
It’s possible it’s your connection. Try going into airplane mode and back out, see if that helps the connection.
I’ll give it a shot and see what happens. Everything else is working though; Snapchat, Instagram, facebook, youtube. they all work fine so there isn’t a wifi problem. Just tried it and it didn’t work. It gets the the title screen and says ‘downloading update 10/11 (x mb/x mb) loads for a second then gives me the cannot connect to server message. I’m guessing I should just leave it and try again tomorrow, hopefully EA will have released another update with a patch
“there’s no prize for finishing first”
I dislike the leader board for Friends’ towns. I’m not competitive, I don’t want it to be a competitive game (unless it’s an event like Tap Ball). I don’t want to rush things because I know I’ll get stuck… yet the leader board is quietly there, making my little Springfield Heights look inadequate.
At least they decided not to pop it up automatically when you go to your friend screen.
I know there’s a ton of glitches right now but I didn’t see mention of this: when I want to upgrade the deluxe condo it’s showing up as the elf cannon instead, but still seems to upgrade as it should. However, now at level 3 the upgrade is DONE but won’t let me proceed/complete the mission. Anyhow patience is key people. Big love to Alissa for being all over this update amazing as always… don’t worry we love you too Bunny and Wookie 😉
lol that’s always a fun glitch…
Try hard closing and restarting…if that doesn’t work try uninstall/restart/reinstall. See if either of those help. 🙂
I’ve hit a wall with the Tech Institute (love the acronym) and can’t earn any more electronic devices unless I spend some and all I can spend on is fountains. Man, I have a lot of fountains. I’m hoping that once all these mansions hit their builds I’ll get more storage…..
Try upgrading Condos/Mansions to get more Real Estate faster to unlock Quimby to up your storage.
I had that happen too. But there’s a task (I forget the name, I think it was before the Classic Mansion) that when you complete it, it gives 8 devices. I had already maxed my storage space, but you still get them… so it gave me enough to make the next building, which gave enough Real Estate points to unlock more storage.
If anyone gets stuck on storage, make sure to stay on your tasks… that may help too.
I’m getting a message “your land has encountered an error. please contact support.” I’m planning on trying to contact them when I get a moment, but has anyone else been seeing this? I’ve been locked out since last night after I did the update.
seeing several reports of it (actually working on a post now that includes this issue). Try uninstall/restart/reinstall see if that helps clear it out. If not then yes, contact support.
LOVE this expansion. Especially the way both heights and Regular Springfield can be used, and how we can create our own mansions by choosing where to put the add-ons. I was just wondering though, once condos are at their maximum, can we choose which level they look like? I prefer the lower level ones as they look good alongside other mansions and on the beach. Once we upgrade, can we revert back? I’m holding off on upgrading past level 2 for this reason.
I’m sure it’s been brought up, but there is a nice little easter egg in the initials for the Springfield Heights Institute of Technology.
It’s a shame that these new upgradable things (including the ones from previous versions of the game like the Money Mountain or the swimming pool) don’t provide a skin selector so you can display the version you want to display. For this reason I will be buying the max number of condos, mansions, etc., but I’ll leave at least one in each upgrade stage for maximum flexibility.
Yes Yes Yes it totally agree!!
i understand the need to upgrade condo’s to progress but the more you do the uglier they get. The skin option would be much better. otherwise i’ll be upgrading to progress then selling to get the version that i like the look of
I’m not sure you can sell them. I bought a bunch of fountains to boost my real estate and now I can’t sell them back! I hate when thing clutter up my inventory 🙁
That’s a brilliant idea!!
You will still have the upgrade icon hovering over it, unfortunately.
So, Springfield Heights hasn’t even unlocked in my town! How do I make that happen?
You need to be Level 30 and you need to have Mr. Burns free to start it. The top of this post explains what happens and what you need to do
http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/07/22/springfield-heights-update-is-here/
Just something I noticed when playing, I maxed out my chairs with over 200, I didn’t spend any on items, but a couple of minutes later I noticed it was down to 188, anyone else reported this?
This is the second report of this i’ve seen today. Contact EA, let them know it’s a bug that has to be fixed.
thanks, I just sent in a report, hopefully they’ll respond soon
This is because you have to spend chairs and coffee to make devices. 2 chairs and 1 coffee are consumed every time you make 1 device (except for Frink who efficiently builds 2 devices for the same chair/coffee cost!)
EA answered back with this:
” Good news is its not the issue at your end but its a known issue right now and all the TSTO players are facing this. The specialist team is working to get this fix Asap and as soon as this gets fixed you should get the donuts that you are missing as well”
So hopefully soon it will be fixed
You spent them when you craft mobile phones.
Did you start a new round of tasks at the Institute of Technology? Each costs 2 furniture and a latte to start. If you have all 6 characters open, that would be the missing 12 furniture.
Not a bug, it takes 2 chairs and 1 latte to start the Institute of Technology tasks.
I noticed a red car on the info page, I’m guessing that’s a future prize not yet feature?
Probably.
I wish I could upgrade all my condo’s but I can’t since I like the main condo and level 2 condo so much!
EA should add a way to choose the condo’s version once fully upgraded. This of course should apply to other buildings to
3 things:
1: Upgrade your condos!!!! They are cheap and give you in the millions when you upgrade!!!!
2: will we get any new characters? It seems like Texas guy’s daughter is in play a lot…
3:Alissa, can I friend you in tapped out?
Send an email with your Origin ID to TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. I’ll add you to the list of players who I pull from when I clean out my town of inactive players (which happens often)
It’s really hard not to just sit here and grind away! I’m getting used to HURRYHURRYHURRY with events lol
Does anyone know how to increase storage of yoga mats from the Body Works? I can only store ten and there are only so many trees that I want!
You have to earn enough Real estate points to unlock bart (which is over 8 million)
Hey there. I just upgraded my classic mansion, and after putting on the additions I got a notification at the top of the screen saying more items were available in the shop. Thinking I’d get the chance to balance the mansion out, I checked immediately. It turns out that I can’t find whatever the message was talking about. I’m at 4.5M real estate points, and the next unlock is in the 6M range, so it couldn’t be for that. Any ideas why that popped up?
You may have unlocked a couple of items without realizing it between the last point you were at and 4.5 million
I check the store each time right after it tells me that… and I think I remember glancing at the store icon right before tapping it and there wasn’t an orange push notification icon saying how many new items are available.
You’ve upgraded all of yours to the max by now, I’m sure. XD Could you tell me if additions to the classic mansion are purchasable from the store? Please and thanks.
lol in my B game I have (A game I always play at pace of play…only way i can enjoy tapping and writing). I’ve yet to see them become available in the store.
I am trying to upgrade my deluxe condo to Level 3. I have all the chairs I need and 20 lattes. Once I hit 20 lattes it tells me I need more storage, so I cannot get 25. What am I missing?? Please help!
You need more storage. You have to unlock more characters in the coffee shop to get it. Look at the rundown post, there’s a specific section called Storage, that’ll explain it with photos
http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/07/22/springfield-heights-update-is-here/
Thanks, Alissa!
I’m so excited about this new project! I just wish when we are in the store we could see all the “heights” currency we have available to spend!
You should be able to right at the top. When you go into the Springfield Heights menu it brings up all of your currency right at the top (where cash and donuts usually are)
Any one else lose Apu’s 8hr task? Stuck on the main story line because it days Job required to do it. I noticed this after I unlocked the institute.
Try storing and replacing the Kwik-E-Mart
I think that I have already tapped a little hole into the place where button Start is for every task in Springfield Heights 🙂
lol certainly makes for A LOT of tapping!
Anyone buy the premium buildings yet? I am so torn.
Trying to get the SIB posts out for tomorrow, since they’re only around till the 28th.
I shall wait for you guys then 😀
The name of the quest that unlocks the valet parking is “show-vroom”… a clever (not) little pun on “showroom”.
Thank you. Seriously cannot read my own handwriting…lol
I’m enjoying this new expansion a LOT! One question, though, are the Red Blazer Realty prizes requiring something else to collect them? I’ve got 5.3M of real estate value, and it shows the flying car as unlocked, but it’s not in my inventory and I don’t see any other way to get it.
You should have gotten a popup for it (just like other prizes from past events). If you didn’t see it I’d contact EA they may have to add it for you.
My flying car seems to need 25million?
The prizes here will appear unlocked (no lock icon) before they are actually earned. When earned, they will get a check mark. You need 25 million like Gene-ious said. 😉
Does the Flying Car have a checkmark in the bottom right corner of the box it’s in when you tap Red Blazer Realty? Prizes are checked off as they are awarded. If you have 5.3M RP I would expect to see a check in the “Montessori School” box (and hopefully you have been awarded that.) I would expect the Flying Car to have a bright blue outline to its box and no check. That is the prize you are progressing towards. It should unlock at 25M RP. (I received the Flying car with no mishaps when I reached 25M RP.)
If you’re continually grinding and get to a point where you have a lot of sofas (like close to maxing out)… I recommending buying a Gate (50sofas) so you can keep grinding away with sofas and still make REPs.
I’m at that point where I need a lot of coffees and just not pumping them out quickly enough that I had to stop making Tech toys and also need to expand the Pharm building.
Take my time! What kind of communist notion is that!
The kind coming from a person who fielded a lot of “i’m stuck” comments today 😉
You have the patience of an angel… I can’t believe how many people keep posting comments to ask stuff that’s already been answered in your posts. 😛
lol happens all the time. But trust me, as my husband and Bunny (and wookiee) will tell you, my patience level isn’t very high. It helps that I can copy and paste lol 😉
Well, I can tell you it’s higher than mine! Me, I would be forced to ignore them all in order to keep it PG 😛
lol
