Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Springfield Heights has arrived in Springfield and finally there’s some decent expansion going on! Loads of new stores, mansions, decorations and a ton of new land…all just beyond the mountains!
This is a fun update, designed to take a while. So DO NOT RUSH IT! It’s here for the long haul, and not going anywhere. So take your time, enjoy it…don’t make yourself crazy with rushing everything, because I guarantee you you will get stuck at some point if you keep rushing.
EA has phased this expansion to have new stuff released as time moves on. So not everything for Springfield Heights is currently available (you’ll notice this if you go to Other Springfield, you’ll see some buildings there not currently available..like the Plastic Surgery Center). More is coming…so pace yourself and remember to have fun. I know it’s tempting to get everything done immediately, but there’s no prize for finishing first. Heck the quicker you finish the less you’ll have to do (since I promise you will get stuck at some point if you rush). Remember it’s a marathon…so relax and have fun with it!
Anywho, now let’s talk about something you’re all eager to know more about…Real Estate Points! How do you get them? What do they do? And how the heck can you get more of them and fast? Well, as always we’re here for you. So let’s break it all down, with some tips and tricks you can use to earn more!
As always let’s start with some basics….
What Are Real Estate Points?
Real Estate Points look like this
and think of them like XP (or even Event Currency). You accumulate them for doing various tasks, builds, upgrades etc in Springfield Heights and in return you can unlock more character tasks, more upgrades, more decorations and earn prizes from Red Blazer Realty!
It Says I Need 1.5 million
to unlock the next decoration, If I “Use” Them Do I Lose Them?
Nope, not at all. Real Estate Points, unlike the other currency (
), are cumulative. You will never “spend” them. They’ll stay a cumulative total for the life of TSTO…so everything you do in Springfield Heights that earns Real Estate Points will continue to add to your Real Estate total for the life of TSTO.
What Do I Used Real Estate Points For?
Real Estate Points are used for a couple of different things:
-To unlock new items in the store:

Various items in the store will remain locked until you earn enough
to unlock them. Similar to XP in Springfield..how you’re required to be at a certain XP level before items in the store unlock.
-To unlock new character tasks at the currency buildings (Furniture Store, Coffee Shop, Institute of Tech, etc.) in Springfield Heights:
Character tasks will be locked until you reach certain
requirements….
-To earn new prizes from Red Blazer Realty:
How Do I Earn Real Estate Points?
You’ll earn Real Estate Points by completing some questlines, buying items in the store and purchasing/upgrading Condos, Mansions, Office Buildings and Valet Parking. (we’ll cover this all in detail in a bit)
So now that we’ve covered the basics. Let’s break it down and give you some tips to earn more Real Estate Points at a decent rate, especially if you’re stuck.
First thing I’m going to tell you…the Key to Earning More Real Estate Points is continuously spending/earning the Springfield Heights Currency (
). Earn it and spend it wisely.
For example…expanding your land won’t earn you any Real Estate Points BUT you should expand your land enough to unlock the currency buildings in Springfield Heights. Be smart about it. Don’t unlock all the land, just clear a short path to the next building. Try to find the quickest route, ie the least about of currency required, to get there.
However, spending currency to buy items in the store and upgrade condos, mansions, etc WILL earn you more Real Estate Points.
So just be smart about what you spend and how you spend it. Think before you tap.
So now, you’re stuck. You’re at 750k
but you need 1 million to progress, what do you do?
You’ve got a variety of options.
First you should know that Cookie Kwan as an 8hr task that will earn you 1,000
each time you complete it.
In addition to her task (and some stuff a little easier and quicker) you can purchase items in the store for Springfield Heights Currency. (look at what each item costs and how many
it pays out when purchased..there are some good deals) Here’s a breakdown of what each item in the store (as of the first release…as I said EA will be adding more as the weeks progress) costs and earns in
:

…can only have 10 in Spingfield Heights.. (+200k

The premium items also earn loads of
. Check them out in the store to see what they’ll earn.
You’ll notice that a few of the items in the store are Condos, Mansions, Valet, Business Center etc. and they pay out a TON of
. This is KEY. My best advice for earning a TON of
is to BUY BUY BUY the Condos, Mansions, Valet Parking, Business Centers etc. You’re allow 10 of each per Springfield Heights. They’re inexpensive, they earn you a TON of
…oh and they can be upgraded to earn you even more
.
Start with the Deluxe Condo, since it’s the first one you’ll be able to unlock and just start buying. Each time you build one you’ll earn 200k
(so for 10 of them that’s 2 million, JUST for buying them). And upgrading will only earn you more. Then move onto the Mansion and other items. Each one will earn you more
.
Let’s break it all down…
Note: You will need questlines to unlock these. The questlines will trigger as you continue to complete the main questline. So if it hasn’t trigger for you yet, DO NOT PANIC. It just means you didn’t finish the right Springfield Heights questline yet in order to trigger it. Just continue to progress through the questlines and eventually it’ll trigger.
Starting with the Deluxe Condo..

| 3 | 25 |
3.29 Million |
| 4 | 30 |
9.26 Million |
| 5 | 30 |
21.19 Million |
So basically…Condo, Mansion, Valet, Business Center Farm. Get as many as you can and yield as many
from each as you can. That’s the best (and quickest) way to earn more
.
The downside? Each one takes 8hrs to build. But as long as you continue to grind currency you’ll be able to continuously upgrade and earn more
to unlock more tasks and prizes!
And there you have it my friends…the details behind Real Estate Points and how to earn them quickly when you’re stuck! Follow the methods above and you won’t be stuck for very long!
What are your thoughts on Real Estate Points? Have you been farming for them already? Are you spending your currency wisely or just buying everything you can? What are your thoughts on Springfield Heights so far? Are you taking your time, or rushing through it?

im loving the new update, im bringing a ton of stuff over to “other side”……However….. im hitting a snag with the yoga mats. I have 5 characters working their butts off making mats and I can not keep up. the mats are needed for land purchases , building upgrades and cell phone production…..will more characters be introduced to sh? ive already reached level 5 of the deluxe condo 4xs and im storing them just so I can keep spending phones and couches..
I’ve been working my 2 towns since this update hit. To do it without donuts it will take every spare moment of your waking day. There is no reason to spend donuts. I just wander off & make a risotto or something, leaving my ipad open on the counter, then tap when I can.
This cracks me up! I thought EA was getting down on farming, and yet, here we go! LOL!
I have finished most of the Springfield heights expansions and am up over 83 million, but 200 mil for the lake is gonna takkkkkke forever haha, I’ve left my iPad on for two straight days, loving the event, best one in a long time imo, family guy could learn fro this instead of each event being mostly clam related
I’m loving this update in general so far- And now there’s more reason to kill time at any point in the day on the game vs. the recent events :D. I’m gradually moving all my stonecutters stuff over to the new space because illuminati/media controlling cult stuff matches well with the fancy new money elite sort of area! Montessori, the Stonecutters Daycare, and the Pharmaceuticals place are all beside one another. Seems to make sense ^_^
Stuck on only producing a maximum of ten yoga mats. How can I up my storage capacity?
You need more real estate points to unlock the ability to use Bart
It goes up with each character you unlock to do tasks there to a max of 200.
Hello !
I’m wondering if SH buildings skins can be changed once upgrader to max (similar to radioactive man statue), or you have to sell them and start again from level 1 (let’s say after you have unlocked all prizes) for design sake ?
Nope not at this time
Drat, I like the RockWall condo better than the completed Gold Dolphins 🙁
I currently have 2 classic mansions. One of them is at level 3 and one is at level 2. I like the fact that the upgrades come with extra pieces that you can place as you like, but I can’t figure out exactly where the level 3 Classic Side Building and Classic Small Balcony are supposed to be placed relative to the building. I’ve mashed my 2 mansions together to create a super-mansion, but it’s pretty freaky looking. Plus it’s not symmetrical, because they are not yet both at the same level.
I had that same problem. I went to the ‘Other Springfield’ to see what the completed version looked like. I think it’s mean to eventually be more cube-y than rectangular like…
Once we build and upgrade a building, I assume we can store it without losing the real estate points? If that works out, I’m going to do that and keep just a few of each out. There’s no point in keeping them out unless they earn currency in the future.
Yup. Think of Real Estate points like XP. Once you earn them you don’t lose them…even if you store a building/decoration.
Do you think it will be possible to get through the whole expansion without upgrading all of the bldgs? I get ten of each, and I don’t want ten of the same blgdings I my town. If I have 6 level 5’s of each, do you think having one each of 1-4 would be ok? Especially for the business center. The level 5 for that is an ugly monstrosity.
You’ll need 1 billion real estate points to get the last prize…..and if you level each one up to level 5 and have 10 of each that’s 1,197,600,000 (so just over the 1 billion).
Any variations you’d have to play around with the numbers and see where that leads you, plus how many decorations you’d have to get.
Thanks!! I think I’ll try it and I can always upgrage if I get stuck.
All the upgradeable buildings are seriously ugly and way out of scale. The valet parking is particularly bad.
I’ll be doing very few of them, the trade-off for ruining the whole look of my town for yet more massive ugly buildings isn’t worth it.
I agree with you. My SH will be an upscale version of Springfield. New creative people at EA must have thrown those other building together at the last minute while those with show history were on vacation because they look so completely different than the original stores we are producing items in. Sort of like a new buyer at a clothing store who changes their look and no one shops there anymore (think Coldwater Creek that went into Chapter 13 last year). Do any of the new buildings look like Springfield lately? Not on my TV.
I’m upgrading a few of them to get to the lake and then I think I might be done and focus on adding land and creating a community with a tennis court, shopping area and pub district, etc. making it a special adventure for the blue collar Springfieldites to go there. I’ll keep a couple of the lower level buildings that are pleasing to the cityscape though. The only part I’m concerned with is that the hammer/saw/arrow over a building upgradeable will be there as a blight on the community.
I don’t get why they made the style of the new buildings so jarring. For a lot of us making a good look to the town is important.
The hammer/saw icon will go away if you spend your craftables to below the limit needed to upgrade. Except for the crafting buildings themselves which will show the chair etc whenever someone is free for a task. I really hope EA sort this as it is messy.
I did the math…well, Excel did the math…and if you want to hit the $1B mark, you need Level 5 buildings across the board. I was hoping to be able to have one or two of each level type, so that like you stated, I don’t have 10 of the exact same building for each type. But I guess if that’s my only gripe with this expansion, that’s a good thing, no? 🙂
I got 708.4M when I added the 5 buildings at max level X 10. Am I missing something?
Never mind. I just realized I have to add all the real estate payouts for each level. DUH. I got 1.3B. Does that sound about right???
Some further math fun: If you keep one building at each level, and then max the other 6 out to Level 5, that gets you almost to $800M. Not sure what you’d have to buy to get over the $1B threshold, but it seems possible.
I wish some of the craftable items could be sold,
I’ll soon have a fleet of speedboats at this rate 😀
I’d like to know who is moderating your fb page. Someone seems to have gathered an army of spammers promoting their own even better TSTO page where everything is free including donuts. They paste the same message after every single post or response, prompting a feud between them and my gf. I’m sure no page is better than the real deal. And nothing is ever free.
Bunny’s usually on Facebook but those comments should be auto deleted. Let me check it out.
I just looked on Facebook and I don’t see ANY comments like you’re talking about. So not sure if you’re referring to the Addicts Facebook page or the Simpsons Tapped Out Facebook page. The ADDICTS Facebook page is the ONLY one we have control over. The other one is controlled by EA, and we’re not EA.
This is the Addicts Facebook Page:
https://www.facebook.com/TSTOAddicts
I’m curious about the buildings we have to upgrade eg the condos. Once we have upgraded them to the max level are they stuck there because I would prefer a few different types of each building rather than ten that all look the same? But at the same time if we don’t upgrade we will miss out on building up our millions. I was thinking of one way around this would be if we could sell the completed building once it’s at max level and start again to get more currency and to get a variety of the buildings at different levels? So just wondering can they be sold? Or once they are completed to max level can you scroll and change the level like you can with the radioactive statue thing?!
Right now no on both.
Someone suggested putting them in storage. Great solution as it doesn’t reduce your real estate value.
Why is it costing me 2 chairs & 1 coffee cup to make phones? None of the other items cost?
Smart Devices, Pills and Trophies all cost other currency to make. It’s just part of the game.
Omg thank you. I finally have a place to put Radioactive Man’s beach house that looks right.
Oh well, I hate this multi-level grinding with output from one action going into the next. However, fortunately, there’s no drop randomness involved like in the Family Guy game.
Wow. And here I was thinking the game was starting to get boring and mundane. The Tap Ball event was amazeballs, and NOW THIS?!?
Also, I was so busy trying to upgrade my first deluxe condo, I didn’t realize you could build TEN OF THEM. Shout out to the TSTO Addicts team for keeping busy addicts like me who miss the little details in a rush to get some playing time in between working. Now I can’t decide between continuing to upgrade or buying more land so I can get 10 condos. Decisions, decisions…
If you’re out of land in Springfield Heights, you can also use some land in your regular Springfield to build those 10 condos!!
I was also surprised that now I can build more Squidport pieces. Just last week I had maxed them out, but now I can build again. Hopefully we will be able to expand the Squidport past the mountains and into SH! Either way, so far I am loving the update and just resisting the urge to sit here and play non-stop. (Easy to do with 30 sec and 2 min tasks!)
It’s 50 more tiles…on the rundown post.
i have so many questions. but since this isnt a timed event, im forcing myself to be patient. most of the time my answer comes through the comments, questions and your answers. so i’d just like to ask, should we really be letting the crazy cat lady buy fireworks? lol. she’s bought them at least five times today in my game alone. lol
FYI: Some SH items I purchased prior to unlocking them officially through the quest line in an effort to earn more money to unlock charactets. Once the quest line requests them you can store and get credit for them without buy more and wasting crafting items.
Love the new expansion. But why you have to build so much of the same buildings to reach the final reward?
I have almost all content that’s available in the game, and so little space.
Ok, fine, they give us extra land few days ago, and I was so happy with it. Now with this update even more land. Thank you EA.
But if you have to have almost 10 fully upgraded of the new buildings(and they are big) to reach final reward, all that space is used up to fast.
It’s like they don’t want us to have nice layout. Always packed up that it is not pretty anymore to look at
I totally agree. I’m somewhat OCD about having a town that is neat and layout that is logical, not over crowded and nonsensical. So, I REALLY dislike being forced to buy multiples of something I only want one of. I really hope they give us the option to delete it permanently hide or… Maybe if EA changed it to where the real estate value was like leveling up. Once you level up, you can sell duplicate buildings.
You can’t sell those buildings atm, but you can put them in storage if you don’t want them in your town. That’s what I do with the double buildings.
Oh, yeah, you keep your estate value if you do 😉
I realised the estate reward from cookie kwan’s task was always not added to my estate value. Has anyone experienced this too? Also, what does the estate symbol that appears on the red blazer realty do? 😔
Nothing, just lets you know you recently earned Real Estate Points
Did anyone else receive a nice little bonus of real estate points at the getgo because they have the Banana Dictatorship store? I had won it in the Easter update a year ago… Not sure if they had made it a premium item. Either way, it was a pleasant surprise for a little building I didn’t have to pay for! 🙂
Yep! Nice little gift!
Here’s my internal cheat sheet:
1. Unlock Furniture shop
2. Unlock condo
3. Unlock coffee shop
4. Unlock additional tasks from any currency generating building ASAP
5. Upgrade buildings as much as possible to reveal more tasks from generator buildings.
6. Build some duplicates of the upgradable buildings as they make for easier upgrades (and real estate value)
I’m sure others have noticed this but they used the same template for the Business Center as they did for one of the Monsarno research buildings lol. I’m humming along here quite nicely, got all the condos built, most upgraded to level 2 (want to keep a few at level 1 since I really like the look), most of the classic mansions, and 2 valets. Cookie kept spitting out dialogue for a few minutes there so I have almost 10 quests related to SH sitting in my task bar. Much better to have too much to do than not enough!
Sitting at 8.2mil, way up from the 3.44mil I had when I woke up!
And this update finally got me up to 4.5 stars on the conform-o-meter. Since I don’t have any house farms Indolence was always stuck at 2.5 stars and I didn’t think I’d ever get it to 5. Now I’m very close! All in all a very fun battery draining update! 😀
This is great info. All of the recommendations above that yall posted are great (for those that actually read it). I’m at 34 mill + but I’ve spent a lot of time nursing my game today because I had the day off. I’ve decided with game expansion/event posts to stop reading the comments people make here. A large amount of them are questions that are answered in a previous post or above. This is why I like the open thread, that has a lot more comments from people that frequently visit this site (and again, FULLY read what you all have to say).
-___-
Now that I’ve figured out how to properly play this expansion, I’ve decided to slowdown on my Real Eastate Points. I have neighbors who’ve not started on this expansion and have neighbors who have earned more points than me (but every neighbor that I have is well above level 30). This is probably my favorite thing to hit this game. People complaining about earning coffee cups obviously have not reached earning pills and oscars (that’s hard). We shall see how much I can play before I move to South Korea. Learning a new language, taking an online class, and working. It’s a lot, but I have a few months left in the states.
Just thought I’d end with a thanks to Alyssa, Bunny, and Wookie.
Also I just realized that I spelled Alissa wrong. Four of my good friends from college were named Alissa and they all spelled their name with a Y. They had the same major and where in the same year and were best friends. Very easily dubbed The Alyssas. Alyssa L, N, R, and S. So Sorry Alissa.
It happens 😉
I do wish the tasks were longer, it’d be nice to have the option to set four hour tasks and get a little less currency than the shorter tasks, but at least we’re not suffering at the chaos engine that was the spinning wheel.
After prodigious tapping, I think I can safely say that my apparent currency bottleneck is the coffee shop. As in life, caffeine drives so much!
Very cool update. Looks like it will be a lot of fun building Springfield heights. Just wish they didn’t have so many short tasks. Maybe a couple 1 hour tasks so I can earn resources while I try to get some sleep?
I’m loving the new update but lost my donuts along the was! Ea is awea this is happening to a few unlucky of us so hopefully it will be sorted soon!
