  1. I have been having problems with friends visits, very slow but have all the act 2 prizes and complete the daily challanges, unfortunatly have loads of terrors to give away

  2. On day 5 we must “Make Youngsters Hunt Nightmares”. Is that the same as making s’mores?

  3. So um, when doing the daily task for upgrading my campfire, I was on the quest to upgrade the campfire 5 times also. Thankfully I already had 4 out of the 5 done, but the Shopkeeper also said 4/5. Does that mean if I hadn’t started that quest would have had to upgrade 5 times for that one daily quest? Or just glitched because of the quest I was on.

  4. I play all day, and will probably fall short of the last Act 2 prize? My issue is that I bought 300 donuts, and bought the Ghost Ship on the last day, placed it, and later went back, and it has vanished? I contacted EA, with no response? It is not just the donuts, the ship is unavailable? Any suggestions?

    • EA is the best way to go to get it back. Which way did you try? Chat or email?

      • I tried email, and 10 days later, no response. This next week I will try chat, which worked to restore my missing 24 characters ( I had Monorail going over water). Thanks

  5. Help!!! I need new neighbors. Half of my neighbor base don’t seem to be playing anymore. I’ve got more formless terrors than I know what to do with. I play everyday. Won’t you be my neighbor?!?!?

  6. I couldn’t play for nearly a week and when I got back on Friday evening I had a whole week of dailies to take care of. I did them all in less than 24 hours without breaking a sweat. I was already spawning the right nightmares for one of the squishing quests and I got the other from my neighbors. Only thing I had to keep in mind was to remember to send a kids to tell stories instead of sending all of them for s’mores (what is s’mores anyway. I’m reading it as “some more” but I’m guessing that’s not right. English is not my first language).

Because of my days away I will probably not get the final prize for act 2. It will be close but not close enough. It doesn’t bother me much though, from what I understand it doesn’t help with the event and no characters have any quests there.

    • Yes it’s a contraction of “some more”. It’s a treat associated with camping. You roast a marshmallow over a campfire then put it between two graham crackers with a layer of chocolate. Yum yum ⛺️

    • A s’more (sometimes spelled smore) is a traditional nighttime campfire treat popular in the United States and Canada, consisting of a roasted marshmallow and a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker.

      • “sometimes spelled smore” – That should have read “sometimes *misspelled* smore”! Just because some people spell out that way didn’t make it right, anymore than spelling “don’t” as “dont” would be right. “S’more” is a contraction of the words “some more,” therefore, the apostrophe is definitely necessary, not optional.

    • You’re actually kind of reading “s’mores” right, because they’re called that because, when you have one, you want some more! S’mores are made by taking a graham cracker, melting dime Hershey milk chocolate and a marshmallow on it and young it with another graham cracker. They’re a popular treat to make at a campfire (in which you can roast the marshmallow), but I’ve been making them in the microwave ever since this event started. 🙂

    • A s’more is treat commonly made when people have campfires. You roast a marshmallow over the fire with a stick, and then when it’s nice and toasted on the outside you put it together with two graham crackers and some chocolate so it’s like a sandwich. The marshmallow and chocolate get all gooey and melted together and they’re REALLY good.

  7. Spoiler Alert?
    I’m waiting in antici……….
pation for act 3, this is by far the most boring event I’ve seen yet. I finished act 2 a week ago and didn’t rush a thing. I think it’s cool for the newbs to get old stuff but it feels like they wasted the most important event of the year on playing catch up. They should have had a Halloween garage sale for all the old stuff and kept the event for new items. I’ve watched a couple dozen TOH’s this last week and the neverending list of cool things that could have been added. Instead I can craft more Spooky trees and Jack o lanterns which I already had at least 25-50 in storage. C’mon act 3, redeem Halloween!

    • I’ve been on the fence between “boring” and “peaceful.” I, too, completed Act 2 about a week or so ago, thanks to getting a head start on the first day. And I started to think “man, this is boring…”

However, I sorta like having an event where I don’t absolutely need to check the game multiple times per day. I can catch up on some existing tasks, do a little remodeling, help out my son in his game, collect in-game dollars…

So, yeah – it’s been a little boring. But at least it’s not an intense event that requires our near-undivided attention 🙂

  8. Spoilers much? 😛😝😫

  9. Er, since there is a bit of people talking about act 3, I have decided to bring this up… Does anyone have ANY idea if they are bringing any more stuff back yet, I missed all the Halloween events so this is my first. I SO want Booberella and the Count Burns thing, I bet they don’t bring them back, it isn’t looking too promising, I’m down to my last 160 donuts from my 900, I bought 2 Halloween items, that’s it. Come on EA, what is the hold up?!!!

The act #3 start tomorrow at 4am est?/

  11. Random, but FINALLY EA has gotten an event just right interms of difficulty to finish… through the 1st two acts anyway. .. I always thought it was unfair to force people on more than a couple times a day.

    • Really? This is the first event since the Stonecutters where I haven’t gotten all the prizes. And that was because I wasn’t a high enough level at the time….

I don’t really mind though, I think the prizes have all been kinda lackluster thusfar . Hopefully Act 3 actually has some decent prizes….

I care more about these free donuts EA keeps throwing at us than a donut with sexy legs or Tenta Corp or whatever this last prize I’m still a few thousand gummies away from getting is….

      • I don’t understand how you could have had more difficulty with this one than with, say, the Terwillger event, or some of the others that required way more tapping. I’m thinking maybe you missed some strategic point or started late or went on vacation or something? I had no problem staying several days ahead of the calendar, even while completing the rail yard and shopkeeper tasks every week. I could understand if you were a low-level player who didn’t have many characters (especially kids), but clearly you’re not. Granted, I did tap rather frequently, but not any more so than four other events (and actually probably more than I needed to, given the excess event currency I ended each act with and this amount of crafting materials I still have stirred up, even after creating a ton of walls (both kinds).

I don’t mean any of this in a rude way or to make you feel bad…I’m just sincerely confused!

  12. hmmm…..if youngsters are going to be busy hunting nightmares I may find my hedge production cut right off and my maze incomplete. Oh no!

  13. I get to 27 snakes (and I’ve tapped about 35) and it just stops counting. Should I just write to ea? Anyone else have this issue? Thanks again for everyone’s hard work on this site too.

  14. This might sound silly, sorry in advance! But what is Make Youngsters Hunt Nightmares x15. Isn’t that just squishing those big purple wavy monster things! Or am I mistaken. Thank you in Advance!

    • Don’t worry about it until that quest hits….

In other words, it’s a little tease for Act 3

    • I was confused about that too, and – with all due respect – I think the moderator misunderstood your confusion. It will be a job that we can send our youngsters on. The duration shouldn’t be too great, an hour or two maybe? Tell Moe’s I’m on the way!

      • I’m not a betting man, but I’d wager it is closer to a 4 hour task, to match what we are currently doing of the kids collecting s’mores. Just a hunch, nothing confirmed/rumored.

  15. Just want to say, once again, how helpful it is that you post this info at the beginning of the week for us! Also, I was happy that the first day turned out to be snakes, because that’s what I was spawning anyway. 🙂

Spending today focusing on Springfield Heights, since there’s nothing to do for the rail yard yet (all stocked up and ready to go for tomorrow) and I don’t need any more gummies. Hope Act 3 isn’t too disappointing, but, for some irrational reason, I’m having a feeling that it will become which is strange, because I’m usually quite optimistic about these things… Will be quite happy to be proven wrong!

  16. I was wondering, after I get the last Act 2 prize ( Tenta-Corp), do I still need to collect Jellies? Or can I send my Springfielders (not kids) on other tasks?

  17. Any words on how many times we need to upgrade the fire for the tuesday challenge or is it just once?

  18. Holy cow why is EA being so generous with the donuts all of the sudden? I love it!! Kinda makes up for the lackluster prizes they’re offering this year’s Halloween….

    • I don’t really see it as sudden. Halloween has been a donut bonanza ever since I started playing two years ago, it’s just less of a grind and less random this time, which I am totally okay with! 🙂

(Also, hoping this doesn’t post twice, got a page load error the first time.)

    • Now if only EA would unlock the stuff I’d want to buy with all those bonuts, the regular cemetary, Witch Marge, and Devil Flanders come to mind. Come on EA what’s the holdup 😀 (Hoping someone from EA reads this lol)

    • They’re doing this to try and encourage people to buy the fuel for the XP Collider. Nah… I’ll keep my free 5 donuts from MonoRail weeklies and the shopkeeper’s 20 donutes through the end of THOH.

    • Mine have all been 4 upgrades

    • I think it is more of a change of balance. They are removing the potential for a few to farm bonuts (some way more than others) during events (remember collect x amount of event currency after prizes were collected) and giving others a chance to earn some bonuts without needing to spend too much time or money on the game (thereby encouraging players to continue hopefully increasing chances/amount of purchases), however they may be compensating for the monorail bonuts by increasing the cost of some premium items.
Hopefully they leave bonus levels and random neighbor tap bonuts alone.

  19. These 20 donuts week after week are just the greatest. Saving up to do some mean shopping on Black Friday! 😀

  20. Make Youngsters Hunt Nightmares, eh?

  21. My task opened at 7am today.
    no time change for EA??

    • that’s a possibility

    • In my country the daylight saving time started a couple weeks ago and they haven’t changed the time either. My challenges start at 9am instead of 8

      • Yup, the info above saying it’s at 8am local time is just wrong. It’s 12:00 UTC, *everywhere* (just like the rail yard challenges always restart at 08:00 UTC on Tuesday)

If you’re on the US East Coast, it would indeed have been at 08:00 EDT (8am) until last weekend, but now your clocks went back too so it’s at 07:00 EST.

A couple of weeks ago in the UK the tasks were available from 1pm (13:00 BST = 12:00 UTC) then our clocks went back so then it was at noon. I’m currently in Japan and the new task for today just became available at 21:00 JST (UTC+0900).

        • No it’s supposes to be 8 local time everywhere but when daylight savings ended it didn’t adjust. So it’s 7 local time.

          • Why do you say it’s “supposed” to be 8am local time everywhere? Every single clock-timed event I’ve seen in the 8 months or so that I’ve been playing has been synced to UTC regardless of where in the world I was at the time (I travel a lot).

I’m 99% sure we’ll now find that players in California are getting their new daily tasks at 4am, when last week (when CA was still on PDT, i.e. UTC-0700) it would have been 5am.

            • For the entire event the tasks have been resetting at 8am (now 7am) local time. If i go into my game at 6 am no new tasks have unlocked…even though players from other parts of the world already have it unlocked. It’s just how this one is. You don’t have to believe me…but that’s how it’s been since the challenges have unlocked.

  22. I just want to get on to the next thing. Iam bored with this and want to get Halloween over
and on to level 59. Iam also hoping that there will be things to buy with in game cash.
My 35 million is burning a hole in my pocket!

    • Kim (kimberlyah794)

When we got the XP multiplier, I spent about $12million on blood mobiles and earned 12-15 bonuts. If you have them, it might be worth it to spend 5 donuts. I bet you could easily earn 20 bonuts with $35million.

    • Out of interest, how long have you been playing? I’ve been playing for 18 months and am on Level 58 (there is no 59!) but I am always broke. I haven’t built ANY of the ‘aspirational’ buildings (including the pile of Burn’s treasure) as I’m madly trying to finish the last two rows of the land expansions. I have a huge blue-house farm, collect multiple times per day, but it still takes a few days to get a million… I just calculated that I need 20 million to finish the last two rows, which will take me probably 1-2 months assuming I don’t buy anything else!

      • I’m evel 58 as well, and it does take some time to build up a million bucks.

I gather about 200.000 a day, but it does take me 4-5 days to reach a million.

Some tips that you might know but it can help others:
        – Always use your premium characters/skins. If you can collect 3 times a day, use the 8 hrs tasks.
        – If you use the Employment building, it will tax your income: Take those extra minutes if you have them.
        – Try to level up the conformity rate (I have it in Spanish, so I’ll pressume is conformity, but it’s the percentage shown when you tap on the stars on your Springfield): Put those white fences and decorations that get a raise on the percentage, you can see the information on the items on your inventory. You can even hide them behind buildings if you don’t like them. Also when you craft everything that you want from this event, craft those walls that raise a lot the percentage for free. And keep those 5 stars full.
-Instead of having idle characters (i.e.: if you’re waiting that the metal workers from the railyard finish, and you still have Ray Patterson free, make him do the 1hr task).
        – Tap on your Krustyland: This sounds boring, but if you tap on your KL twice a day, in 5 days you’ll have 100.000 just from visiting your KL and exchanging tickets for money currency.

And that’s all the knowledge I can impart 😛

  23. Hunting nightmares, huh? Sounds like something exciting to do in Act 3!

  24. Well I guess that tells us the kids will stop summoning nightmares and start hunting them in act 3

  25. Woohoo!

Looking forward to 25 bonuts this Friday; so long as Act 3 doesn’t delay the usual Friday completion of the 5 monorail bonuts.

  26. Anyone else having problems logging in?

  27. Lol this is the only thing I think of whenever I see this guy https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Krbl911ZPBA

  28. Woohoo!

Looking forward to another 25 bonuts on Friday; so long as Act 3 doesn’t push my 5 monorail bonuts past the usual Friday.

  29. The new challenge this morning began at 7 a.m. I guess EA hasn’t re-set their clocks to standard time.

  30. So far I’ve been finding the shopkeepers challenges very easy to complete and have earned all of the bonuts available, which is fantastic for me as a fremium player. Long may it continue!!!!!
