Chart Alert: Characters with Costumes and the Rate At Which They Earn

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

In keeping with the series of “what would you like to see on this site during the downtime” posts, we’re going to tackle another popular requested item.  This time it’s a list of all of the characters that have costumes (skins) and an indication if those skins earn at a premium or freemium rate…

Before we get into this chart, I’ve also been working on updating the Characters Page.  This time it will only include characters, with a link to this post for skins, and I’ll break the NPCs out separately.  To find the characters chart check out this page…I promise it’s been here the whole time, I just updated it to include some recent characters. 😉

And now let’s check to the costume list….

  1. I’m really loving these lists you guys came up with. Its great to be able to get all the info in one place instead of searching for each should I buy post or character breakdown post. Thanks. You are appreciated!!! 🙂

  2. I think Ice Princess Martin is a hybrid premium. Without the ice castle he only has a couple tasks, but those involving the castle/palace are premium I think.

    • the castle is the premium item. any task involving it would have paid premium regardless what skin is equipped, same as sending bart or comic book guy to the aztec theatre.

    • alex - aabcampos2

all tasks placed on premium buildings pay premium, even if the character/skin is not. (except from Ray Patterson’s “buy bird feed” that is placed at pet shop and dont pay premium, its a bug EA refuses to fix, I dont know why)

  3. The Stonecutter outfits for Brockman, Skinner, and Krusty aren’t really premium. They just have premium tasks because the Stonecutter hall is premium. The tasks that aren’t in that hall all earn at regular rates. (This is kind of like Ice Princess Martin, whose has several premium tasks in the ice castle.)

  4. I still wish that once you bought a premium skin for a character then all of that characters skins would become premium. For example, Shreded Ned has some funny tasks, but if you use them you are losing out on cash / xp you can get from another skin you’ve paid for. Burns has some awesome visual tasks as the alien and baseball manager, but moneybags earns so much more…

  5. My White Witch Burns (possibly my favorite skin ever if only for “cast a sleeping spell” stopped earning premium when Superheroes 2 started, and it hasn’t reverted back. Should I contact EA? I keep hoping it’ll fix itself…. *is lazy*

These charts are super helpful! Exactly what I’ve been searching for, seriously. [goes back to lurking]

  6. Thank you! What a great list!

  7. My apologies for this bot being about character payouts! But why am I no longer receiving TSTO emails?

  8. I appreciate you efforts. Have some🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩🍩

  9. Perhaps one thing to beware of is that for some of the kids like Lisa and Bart their 6hr ‘Go to School’ task only pays $225 & XP55 (non-premium) even when they’re wearing a premium costume; unlike fully premium characters like Kearney that earn $350 & XP90 for going to school!

  10. Think Puritan Nedd Flanders is also premium (got bumped up same time as sacagawea lisa). 🙂

  11. What I see in those charts is that Marge needs more skins. She doesn’t have much for a main character that was in the game since level 15 (if I recall correctly).

  12. My very favorite tasks for Apu and Mr Burns use non-premium skins.

I knew that before now, so this isn’t going to stop me from using those non-premium tasks, simply because I enjoy them. I have plenty of premium characters and premium skins, and plenty of buildings and plenty of multiplier, so I don’t care about the small loss of income from two characters. If anything comes along that’s better, I’ll go for it, but I just can’t see any Burns task ever beating “Bring You Love” on smile factor. (Unless they gave the Moneybags skin a task to sing about his vest. That would surely have been entertaining. But they didn’t. And that’s a shame.)

    • I love that one, too…I always turn up the volume when I send him on it, and Burns always seem to know whether I need love of peace more at that particular moment. 🙂

Burns: Some men hunt for sport,
      Others hunt for food,
The only thing I’m hunting for,
Is an outfit that looks good…
See my vest, see my vest,
      Made from real gorilla chest,
Feel this sweater, there’s no better,
      Than authentic Irish setter.
See this hat, ’twas my cat,
My evening wear – vampire bat,
      These white slippers are albino
      African endangered rhino.
      Grizzly bear underwear,
Turtles’ necks, I’ve got my share,
Beret of poodle, on my noodle
      It shall rest,
      Try my red robin suit,
It comes one breast or two,
See my vest, see my vest,
      See my vest.
Like my loafers? Former gophers –
It was that or skin my chauffeurs,
      But a greyhound fur tuxedo
      Would be best,
      So let’s prepare these dogs,
Mrs. Potts: Kill two for matching clogs,
Burns: See my vest, see my vest,
Oh please, won’t you see my vest

  13. This is an awesome list. While not trying to be a d’oh head, I would like to suggest an addition to it. If it ever comes up for updating, you could add the building they are associated with so one would know which building to store to release the character. Again, I don’t want to lessen how much I appreciate this list. Thank you for taking the time to put it together for us.

  14. Wanted to let you and everyone know that Holiday Homer’s tasks that are 8h or longer are premium. Anything less earns the regular rate.

  15. Thanks to this chart, I now realize I’ve been using the wrong skin for Apu all this time. On a side note, (although someone may have mentioned in the comments), Duff Man earns premium anyway, so buying that skin is kind of void other than, to have a skin for Duff Man.

  16. Thanks for your continuing hard work.

  17. Wow, girl – you’re on fire! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

  18. pin pal apu’s 20 hr task is premium; $825

    • But that’s because it takes place at a premium building, not because of the skin itself.
(To be fair, a few of the stonecutter skins do not pay premium for tasks that are not at the stonecutter lodge or table, which became premium items and are why those skins pay so well. Very few stonecutter tasks are not at the lodge or table, though. But I know that a few of those skins were never sold for donuts and didn’t get the upgrade to premium.)

    • Ah, interesting… but requires the Bowlarama (premium item) which I don’t have!

  19. santa homer does not own premium; only his 6hr task does

  20. Help!!!!!! I just bought a new android tablet and I can’t download the game. It says my device is not compatible. I called ea and they are no help! What do I do?!?!

  21. Ummm not to be judgemental but i have 210 playable characters not 207 as you’ve stated. . I think you have counted wrong as i keep a full list in numerical and alphabetical order on a word document on my laptop so i know if i miss any…

  22. Opera Krusty is freemium.

  23. #908 Homer is premium.

  24. Thanks for this.
Most of the ones I have I knew were premium, but there are some that I don’t think I was aware had been updated from regular to premium like Strongman Homer, Tuxedo Krusty, Opera Krusty, and Respectable Moe.
Of course, I have other premium outfits for Homer, Krusty and Moe (like Stonecutters), but it’s nice to know there are other premium options.
I like to keep everyone who can be premium in their premium outfits just to earn that little bit extra.

  25. Aren’t Sacagawea Lisa and Ballet Ralph premium? They make extra $ in my game…

  26. You should have some real downtime! You definitely deserve it, what with all the work you do for us Addicts!😄😴😴

  27. About Brockman, I’ve noticed that the 4 hour task for his Number 66 costume pays freemium and the 4 hour task for his standard costume pays 200 $, so somewhere between freemium and premium. (I have not checked if any other of his tasks pays out anything other than expected). I’m wondering if there is a known logical reason for this?

  28. Once again, well done Alissa and Team.

  29. I thought Little Helper Ralph earned at premium rate? I know his 1 hr task earns $105, but I suppose that might be because (without checking) where he does his 1 hr task is a premium item. Can someone confirm or deny this for me please?

  30. Charts! Charts! Charts! Charts!

    Woohoo!
