Well, it seems that Bunny had a few more tricks than treats, so I am jumping in to do the calendar again for Act III. Lots of hopping, and hoping for her return!
This month is going to be loaded with action, and loaded with all sorts of huge scary numbers…but in the end, we’ll all get what we deserve for our hard work, right? (and no…this isn’t a veiled election reference).

Because we had a request for the kind of “Vertical Calendar” I used to do over at TSTOFriends, I am including that as well, along with the traditional Addicts Style.
The math does seem daunting…but EA has already started making it easier to gather Megaphones and Obols. So…we’ll see!

I’m having a harder time getting MAG points then I am megaphones. Am I missing something that gives more MAG points?
Hmmm… anyone else feel act 3 is a little too easy? I’m already over 30k megaphones. This puts me ahead of the calendar three days, after only three days into act 3!
And I’m glad to conclude that although my initial calculations regarding the obols earning rate not being enough to get all the prizes were correct with the information that I had at the time (I made a comment regarding this in the math post), the obol drop rate has increased enough and the prize track obol packs were increased to make it doable. I’m already halfway to the ship wreck (I gotsta have it even though it’s kinda lame) and I will have it in about three days…
Looks like I’ll be able to take a week off from tap-tap-tapping. Not sure if I want to though…or even be able to — this is a forum for addicts after all… 😎
I’m on almost 24k & play quite regularly, so would say you’re total is way above what most players will have. I agree though,obtaining the main prize track is pretty easy.
Even with the obols dropping more l’m still going to be near the end of the game before obtaining that ship, which of course is the general idea ( no prizes bought ).
All in all though it’s been an enjoyable first Hallowean event for me.
There are 2 obol packs in the prize track, 450 obols EAch.
I feel like I am playing like crazy and still so far behind!!!! ACT II was much easier.
I have 31K Megaphones and I am about 4 days ahead of the calendar. I earned the Wolf Rock and Obol pack yesterday. The Wolf Rock in the AM and the Obol pack in the afternoon. I have like 920 obols at the moment and I am debating what to craft as I have maxed out my MAG points so that is not a factor anymore in what I craft. I either want more bramble hedges or fences as I love the gargoyle fences but the forest cave is tempting as well. I just don’t know! I have loved this event because I think EA really found the right balance in the game. It was simple to earn everything on the prize track but you really had to strategize to craft the additional items you wanted. I didn’t and by all accounts wouldn’t have been able to craft all the items offered but that was OK because it made the crafting more interesting knowing I was going to earn everything of major significance from the prize track. I crafted items based on MAG points they would achieve and then around design based on the items I knew I would earn from the prize track. Good job on this event EA! Story wise it was sorta lame but in regards to game play I think they’ve found the sweet spot.

Halloween is basically over, why is the event still going? I am getting into the Christmas mood already!
I quite wanted a political mini event (like FGQFS is doing) or something to get rid of the Halloween vibe.
Because this is how it always goes…the holiday events go 1-2 weeks beyond the holiday….
And quite honestly, I’m happy for no political event. I need a mental break from it…
I just LOOOOOVE Christmas! Hands down the best event of the year.

I still have scores of bottled dwarfs from two years ago, ready to fire from the “Christmas Gun”.
I’m still enjoying Halloween but I am also hoping for a political tie in. I would love a chance to purchase a president (Abe or George for sure) and to expand my Washington section with more buildings.
I’m at 9140 megaphones already and the first day is an hour away from being completed. I only actually managed to log on yesterday at about 1pm so all of that has been achieved by logging on 4 times in that time. Definitely achievable. To be fair, I do have a few premium characters that are helping with trick or treating and have tasks in the MAG building.
Those premium characters rEAlly help, especially those kids. I acquired all of them two years ago just before Halloween 👻 The best investment for my donuts at that time.
Okay, as I’m the (quite possibly sole) person who requested the vertical list-type calendar, thank-yous are in order. So THANK YOU Patric & Alissa for agreeing to & fulfilling my request = )))) …….. But you both do know (right??) that this was not a one-time thing; this is a perpetual request for all future events for all 3 acts per event ….. I always save the vertical list calendar on my PC, and keep cropping it once daily so I instantly know how far ahead of schedule am I ….. With Bunny’s calendar format, that’s a bit difficult ….. so Thanks Addicts for indulging my request. You guys rock!!!!! = ))))))

Thanks Patric, I really like that you start the Calendar on the day act 3 starts so anyone can get 5,230 megaphones minimum a day otherwise it would of been more to earn a day.

The calendar requirements looked difficult at first, but with event currency becoming much easier to obtain this act, it’s not too bad. Looks can Ben deceiving. Thanks for the calendars!

Alright! On track to make Day 1 and 2 goals on the first day!… Of course I log in about 5-6 times a day in 4 hour intervals thanks to 2 squalling infants that lovingly awaken us several times a night. I must say, it may not have been good for the sleep, but it certainly has been a real help with the bonuts.
I’m stuck at crafting level 12. I already crafted all the MAG point earning decorations and buildings. What would you recommend to craft in order to get to the next crafting level?
Whatever you like. I’m crafting a lot of pyres and putting them behind buildings to make them look like they’re on fire
at that point, just craft what you want more of. There’s no advantage to craft anything in particular once you’ve maxed the mag points.
Hi Rick, this is where you craft what you want to get to the next level! If you keep on earning the act 3 prizes you will have the mag points from those prizes to get you to the next level. I hope this makes sense to you!!

But your right up to midway through mag level 12, you could craft nothing but mag producing items if you wanted to and have enoug to progress through the crafting levels, but EA was also was giving diminishing returns of mag points to orb costs.
If u unlock frinkenstein will it be an skin that is stored until you unlock that specific caracter or will u be able to use it straight away (sorry i forgot his name)

The event pace has been steady. I’m already at 5800 megaphones and it’s 1:39 PM Central time. I of course had a few big monsters waiting this morning. I don’t anticipate having to fork over donuts to get prizes. I was very close to 100k clapboards. I play every 4 hours between 545 am and 11 pm. I had at least 4-5 bonut opportunities. I do wonder about the obels. I think I will get the shipwreck but it will be close. I’m a 100 obels out of being on level 15 and then its a 1000 obels to get shipwreck. Luckily we get 900 obels in event prizes…you do have to play consistently in order to avoid worry. I haven’t shelled out any cash for donuts this event. All bonuts and KEM farming here…I’ve collected 185 donuts so far this event with 5x on 10 day multiplier! I bought Booberella this morning though. We are addicts after all right? You can’t just play a couple times a day and expect to win everything.

I like to keep it real…you have all day to make the numbers…and there is a tad bit of overlap at the end.

Hopefully the obols will be easier to obtain. It has been slow going, and I haven’t been able to craft as many items as in past events because of it. I would really like to buy a bunch of bramble hedges, but they are pricey given how difficult it is to obtain obols.
A suggestion: if you’re consistently coming up short, then consider pushing the reject button on daily challenges, until you get tasks which award Obols. If you’re a frequent tapper, it’s actually not too difficult to accomplish multiple challenges per day, so tossing aside a donut award or two until you get what you really want may actually prove to be worth it.
You only can reject a daily challenge once a day!
I’ve actually been able to do it twice. If I wait long enough, usually into the late evening hours, it will give me the option to reject that day’s replacement challenge and get another one. I very rarely reject daily challenges though.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a glitch, Rudolph; I’ve experienced the same. Mind you, I can’t say for certain if it’s actually a twice daily option, or if it’s a daily timer which simply resets in the evening; I’d have to reject three in a row to find out for sure, and in my experience, that’s very rare.
Likewise, simultaneous challenges are going to be rare for frequent tappers: if the first rejection gets you what you want, then you’re good to go with no scheduling issue. If the evening rejection gets what you want, then you’ll probably finish the task with minimal overlap with the following day’s challenge. Thus, it’s *only* in the event that you’d need to reject three challenges in a row that you might find yourself performing two challenges in a single day… and as I said before, that’s not terribly difficult to accomplish.
It still is one rejection per day! You only get another rejection if you don’t play that daily challenge. The next day you have two challenge you can reject. You haven’t used the possibility of the previous day.
Maybe I wasn’t clear enough previously… I have personally rejected challenges twice in a single day: one first thing in the morning, and a second challenge in the evening. Things may not be quite as cut-and-dry as you so strongly assert.
The critters now drop 4 obals when they are generated by tapping them. This should increase the rate of collection some.
This web site has a few new video ads that are very annoying.
Are they popups or just auto play?
Autoplay – you can’t get past them as the screen scrolls to them and you have to use the side scroll bar to get back to the part of the page you want. Repeatedly
I recommend AdBlocker Plus.
The problem with Ad Blockers, is that then we don’t receive funds from the Ad Revenue generated. Funds that we use to keep this site going (it gets expensive buying all those donuts). So ultimately no funds= no site. (i can only put so much out of pocket to keep the site going)
However, there are not supposed to be popup ads (of any kind) only side bar (and header) and below post ads are supposed to be shown. Anything else is likely a malware attack on your device…
