Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Black Friday rebate event is in full swing, where every hour starting Friday and running until very early Monday morning, another item will appear in the shops to purchase for a rebated donut price! Today we saw (or we’ll see) 12 items appear in our stores with a sweet donut rebate attached to them, and tomorrow morning at 3am ET, 8am GMT, we’ll see 12 new items appear in our stores with donut rebates!
As I promised I would do in our Black Friday Rebate Reveal Post, I’m going to breakdown each item for you the day before they’re set to appear in the stores. So you can make a decision on what you’d like to buy and be prepared to grab it. You can check out the posts for Today’s deals (Saturday), which I posted yesterday here.

My Opinion On It Now: Here’s the deal with Truckasaurus. It’s iconic from Simpsons history. It’s a fun decoration, the animation is great. BUT it’s still over priced (IMO), even with the rebate. The bonus % doesn’t justify it. So if you’re going to get it…get it because you like it. Don’t buy it for the bonus %, don’t buy it because it’s on sale. Get it because you like it and have wanted it in your Springfield for awhile.
Item: Big Butt Skinner Balloon
Donut Price: 130 Dounts, 55 Donut Rebate, Net 75 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, earns a 3.5% bonus on all cash and XP. Frink has a task here, if you have him.

What Does It Do?: NPC, does have animation when tapped. Otherwise will just roam Springfield.

Donut Price: 200 Dounts, 90 Donut Rebate, Net 110 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Building for Springfield. Skinner, Martin, Milhouse and Database have a permanent task there..that animates the building.

My Opinion On It Now: It was a hard pass during the Wild West Event, and it’s still a pass now. Over priced for what it is/does. Pass on this one.
Item: Cannon

What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, earns .50% bonus on all cash and XP. If you have Sideshow Mel he’ll get shot from here.

My Opinion On It Now: If you have Sideshow Mel, or are thinking about getting him in the near future, grab the Cannon. It’s a nice price for something that’ll have a hilarious animation with Sideshow Mel.

My Opinion On It Now:For those hunting higher XP Bonuses this is the item to pick up. At the net cost of 30 donuts, and giving a 2.25% bonus it’s a great pickup to boost your bonus %.
Item: Police Tank
Donut Price: 60 Donuts, 15 Donut Rebate, Net 45 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Premium decoration for Springfield. Earns 2.5% bonus on all cash and XP. AND has a fun animation when tapped…will also temporarily destroy buildings when tapped (Kwik-e-Mart, Brown House..)

What Does It Do?: Decoration for Springfield, no bonus %
My Opinion On It Now: Meh. It’s 5 donuts. So if you’d like a decoration like this, grab it. Otherwise pass.
Item: Apu’s Apocalypse Jeep
Donut Price: 55 Donuts, 15 Donut Rebate, Net 40 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Premium decoration for Springfield. Now offers a 2.25% bonus on all cash and XP
My Opinion On It Now: Meh, it’s an ok buy. But only grab it if you like it…otherwise there are far better items to grab during this sale with better bonus % to offer.
Item: Catapult
Donut Price: 85 Donuts, 40 Donut Rebate, Net 45 Donuts
What Does It Do?: Animated decoration for Springfield. When tapped it flings Cats. 2.25% bonus.
My Opinion On It Now: This one is fun, but you’ve got to like what it is/what it does. Don’t buy it for the bonus %, as it’s not that great of a ratio.
Item: Gino and It’s a Wonderful Knife
Donut Price: 150 Donuts, 50 Donut Rebate, Net 100Donuts
What Does It Do?: Your typical building/character premium combo

My Opinion On It Now: I’ve said it several times over the last couple of days..any time you can purchase a premium character and building combo for 100 donuts or less it’s a must buy. This is no exception. Especially since it’s limited-time. So if you’re looking for a premium combo, pick this one up.

Guys can you explain this laat knight i was about to buy gino and the wonderful knife but i fell asleep and i open the game wonderful knife is available again 9hrs but the building has no gino on it just the building i dont want to pirchase a building w/o gino

That’s why they offered everything twice.
Got to 149 donuts from KEM farming and Bloodmobiles. Barely squeaked out the extra XP to get Gino without buying donuts.
I was going to finally buy Gino, but the building is squidport only. That really puts a damper on wanting it. It’s taken me years to get a squidport I’m mostly happy with, and trying to integrate a whole new building could just start that whole problem over again. ☹️
Yeah – I wasn’t happy about that either, but, fortunately, I had just enough room to work it (and a couple more tiles) in, without totally wrecking the design.
I found that it can go on the shoreline too.
Oh Truckasaurus, only if you had better animation I’d bring you home.

How long is Sideshow Mel’s cannon task? (I’d forgotten about that aspect of owning the cannon and am now considering getting it…that’s why I love reading these posts! 🙂 )
I was originally going to buy a few mini-nukes, but, after gorging on Gorgeous Grampa billboards (which had an event better ratio), I may end up passing on those. Who know….maybe one day I’ll actually get one from the *#@$& rocket!
I’ve had a change of heart on Gino though, and think I’ll pick up that combo after all. Also, although I didn’t want the police tank the first time it came out, now that I’ve decided that my “thing” is having “stuff that does stuff,” this seems like a must buy.

In this wonderful game of ours , I was wondering if they ever have a sale on donuts . I have been playing for years but I don’t ever remember seeing them on sale . And if they do is there a time like maybe day after Christmas 🙏🏿?

Yay truckasaurus and mechano spider are at times that I can get them unlike a certain gold mansion I’ve already mentioned in these comments.
I still want donuts for the final item on Monday, so I sadly can’t get the police tank. I will be getting Gino and Brutus though. I hope Gino has a lot more tasks than Vittorio, as I just got him, and he seems to not have many tasks at all….or at least the list seems shorter than it should. Either way I’m excited for tomorrow.
I’m hoping they have some good Christmas items, been saving my sprinkles all year for Black Friday sales but was underwhelmed by the items (especially since I’m a Freemium player). Really looking forward to starting the Christmas event, love seeing our Springfield covered in snow since we normally don’t see snow in real life in central Texas…
Anyone else think EA would sell more and make more money if they offered the daily items for the entire day instead of hourly??
Someone misses their one hour window because they’re out living their life and EA misses their sale. Now, offer the items for the entire day and their odds of people purchasing increases. Silly EA.
There were a few items I likely would’ve grabbed but I missed the outrageously short window so I get to save my donuts.
I got hit by that as I missed the gold mansion as I was asleep during its hour due to working night shift starting 3am gmt so now I only have 1 more opportunity tonight if I don’t fall asleep before my next shift tomorrow.

Nope fell asleep and missed it again ah well at the end of the day it’s ea who are losing out on my money. The gold mansion was on my would like if cheap enough list but thankfully not my must have list.
Well, at least they give you two shots at each item, 12 hours apart.
But, to answer your question, maybe yes, maybe no. There’s a reason that marketers offer “limited time” items…the sense of urgency that creates can actually often boost sales, rather than suppress them, even though that may seem counterintuitive.
All I wanted was the the film studio I couldn’t earn for the event and it went on sale at the exact time I had to clock in for work 😑 so yes, EA would have got more donuts from me had it been an all day sale.

Hmm bought three characters already (2 from thanksgiving and 1 from Black Friday) and I’m really tempted to get Gino but that would leave me with less than 100 donuts. Do I hold off for something better or make the purchase? There have been a lot of comments about limited time items prior to Christmas. Decisions decisions
I’m with you on this, stuck on weather to buy Gino or not. If I do it’ll leave me with approx 100 doeys left coming into xmas. If I don’t it’ll go against my golden rule of a charcter/building combo for 100 is a must.
BUT, in saying all that I think the fact that I’m not caring too much for Gino as a charcter may be the deciding factor.

If this will be only your first or second TSTO Christmas, then I’d save the donuts so you can pick up some lights and decorations. But if you already have all the Christmas basics, then I think it depends on how into Christmas you are and how many more holiday items you’d like to get. I don’t know whether there will be any be characters released for Christmas, but I do know there’s something new coming out on Monday…you might want to check a spoiler site to see if that’s something you want more than Gino.

You should get Gino with It´s Wonderful Knife!. Good deal, limited time character!
I’d personally say to go for Gino. Don Vittorio will always be around, but Gino is limited time.
Personally I do not care for the mobsters so I will not be picking him up even at a discounted price. I do already own Gino and I find him an his knife shop amusing. I guess it really all depends on who you get more of a kick out seeing in your town every day.
From a design perspective, I prefer the Rancho Relaxo. Aside from that, it’s mostly a wash.
I’m having that same dilemma with Gino (already have Rancho), and like you said it’s not high on my list so i think I can resist the bargain and not purchase for the heck of it and wait for something I really want.
So if you really want it get if it’s a not too fussed save them.
