As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. (That and Bunny loves to see other designs and get inspiration from it.) Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
It’s that time…calling all Springfield designs of Camping/Wilderness Proportions! We’re getting read to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Most Dangerous Game inspired designs! So prep those downs…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
We’ve got a limited amount of time, so sorry for the short notice..and short deadline…but we do really want to see how y’all incorporated those Camping inspired designs into your Springfield! So send us your Most Dangerous Game inspired designs and we’ll be putting up the Showoff Post, featuring your designs, on TUESDAY December 6th...so you’ve got a nice long weekend to prep your towns.
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm EDT Monday December 5th. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

Here’s the breakdown for the items that will appear TOMORROW Friday, November 25th starting at 3am ET, 8am GMT
There is something about being a pragmatist, along with just a smidge of crankiness and pessimism that keeps life interesting, when summing up a list of a “things for which I am thankful.”
It has been written that “When you are a pessimist and bad things happen, you live the events twice…once when you worry about them, and again when they happen.” I don’t know who said this…but they were likely hit by a bus while tapping this into their Facebook status.
However, this is one of the key arguments that people use from the “Why Worry Be Happy” school of thought, while pointing out the futility of spending time and energy on worrying. I choose to think that you get a double “reward” for your efforts.
So, when we come to a holiday like Thanksgiving, when we are tasked to come up with a list of things for which we are thankful, I think it is entirely within the spirit of the day to be thankful for a short list of things for which I am thankful, because they DIDN’T happen!!

And of course it wouldn’t be an event in Springfield without some premium items in our store! Grant Connor is a new premium item to hit our store for this hunting inspired event…and he comes loaded (see what I did there? 😉 ) with his own questline. Something fun to work your way through when you’ve finished gathering those Pelts for the prizes…because remember Grant should be solely focused on Pelt gathering until you’ve unlocked all of the prizes. His side questline can wait until you’ve completed the event prizes…it’s not going anywhere.
So let’s take a look at Grant’s premium questline and see just what happens when he meets Dr. Hibbert….
