Update 3/21/17: Many of you are reporting the items left the store early according to your in-game timers. While, this post indicates the items leave the store on March 21st (today), it is EXTREMELY important for your games to provide players with accurate information. Including on the game timers. The best thing I can tell you to do is contact EA. Let them know the timers were incorrect. Hopefully that will cause them to fix the problem.
While we try to always let you know the end dates for items, you shouldn’t have to rely on a website (that’s not run by EA) to tell you when something leaves the stores. That’s why there are timers in the games. So it’s really important that EA fixes this issue.

A Happy St. Paddy’s Day to everyone! St. Patrick’s Day, the one day where everyone’s Irish!
So EA decided to release the annual St. Patrick’s Day content on St. Patrick’s eve here in the US…an excuse to break open the green beer a few hours early!
Anywho, despite not turning the rivers green this year, EA has brought back loads of items from St. Paddy’s of the past and given us one new (free) addition for 2017. Let’s take a look…
So when you start up your game you’ll see this dialogue popup:
Homer: Come on, Moe. It’s nine a.m. on Saint Paddy’s Day and I’m still sober! Do you really want that on your conscience?
Moe: Sorry Homer, but you guys know I can’t serve booze this early. IF I get one more write-up from the city, I’ll have to buy a new binder. And I ain’t got no fancy binder money lying around.
Tom O’Flanagan: Pardon me, but O’Flanagan’s is an Irish Bar. We operate on Greenwich Mean Time.
Homer: Which means…
Tom O’Flanagan: I can serve you beer now.
Homer: Woohoo!
At at this point you’ll find the Pot “O” Gold Float in your inventory…
For those who are going to ask, it does not earn a bonus % (at least not this year, maybe next year when they bring it back for 40 donuts 😉 )

First up, the St. Patrick’s Day Mystery Box
So for 80 donuts you can have a crack at one of they many St. Patrick’s Day items or Duff Party items (you know for the green beer)

Sham Rock Cafe w/Yupprechuan, Wishing Well w/Leprechaun, Duff Stadium, Duff Party Liner, Duff Center Arena, Blarney Castle & Notre Dame of Springfield.

Adam there are 239 characters in this game . I’m up to 218 ATM. Just like Pokemon you have to get them all.
I can’t believe I don’t have any of the items in the St Pattys Box, this makes my chance of getting Seamus or any of the leprechauns very low, and getting some silly duff stuff very high.. 😭😭
I might try one box, or get duff man, but I need more donuts for future events as I don’t see myself buying 900 any time soon.. Eh it’s worth a try, at least all items are at a discount..

I’ve been waiting forever for a good Duffman deal and I don’t have anywhere near enough donuts. Brutal…but at least I know now that this bundle exists so there’s a chance it comes around again some day.

Same here. FIrst try – Sham Rock Cafe (hoped leprechaun would be full character – he was not). Second try – wishing well. 160 donuts wasted (was hoping to get Notre Dame. No more donuts to try again.

I had 12 doughnuts. And was pondering spending real money for a gift card. So i have $3.74 left from quickthoughts on my account. So i got three scratch off. Got 50 doughnuts, then 12, then 9. Yay!!! Enough to try my Irish luck( my grandmother is half Irish)… so i tried your trick( i had a 1/4 chance)… and…. IT WORKED… thanks! My multiplier went up 4% and my Irish men set is complete. I might try on more time for Seamus since you cant beat 80 doughnuts… Thank you 😊

As I didn’t have any of the items and the only one I was hoping for was Seamus. Got him in the first attempt. Would have been happy with the Yupprechaun too, just because of the Shamrock Cafe. All others were definetly not on my wishlist.
I must say that as a superstitious person I tried the tip given for the valentines mystery boxes to try when the desired item is on the left. If it’s really a trick, don’t know, but why not trying?! Worked out for me 😊 Once 😂

Worked for me again this time, every time but once. And just like Valentine’s, I picked up all of the mystery boxes.
I got Nortre Dame/Seamus this morning on first try…they were both on far right…believe what you want…lucky is lucky. :c)

No. I had Blarney castle on my left (#1 on my wish list), but I got the Notre Dame of Springfield (#2 on my wish list) instead.

If you have the donuts, I think it’s worth it at a chance to get a lot of great things at a very cheap price 😊

It’s the only way I can earn donuts. It’s not a bad deal, either. You buy the ten day collider. Buy 20-30 KEMs every four hours. Sell them when you collect the xp, and start over. I do this three or four times a day, and it has helped me get donuts. I always end up getting well over the 25 donuts I spend for the collider. I recommend doing it. I am not all these other players who have vast amounts of donuts, but I get a pretty good amount. I keep the collider going every ten days.
How much money should you gather to start off? My percentage is currently at 114%, would that be good enough? I’m interested in knowing, as I’m thinking of starting the grind myself. Thanks!

Finally! Been waiting a long time for Duff Man to be available at a rebate. 150 donuts still quite pricey for me, but I’ll take it! I believe I have most of the most recommended premium characters as suggested on the addicts site! Woo hoo!
A special “Be Prime Minister of Ireland” animated task for Homer would be the greatest thing ever. So would a “Be Peter Pantsless” where he’s carried around by random barflies. Come on EA, get to work on this!
My first mystery box got me Seamus, which is what I really wanted. I would have bought a couple just to get him, but I didn’t have to. Now I have to decide if it’s worth buying more to try for the Leprechauns. I’m kind of thinking no.
Duffman was a great deal. I’ve been holding out for him to go on sale for a very long time.

If you don’t like what you got in your mystery box, tap the get more donuts button, hit back, hit back again, it’ll take you back to the mystery box screen. just keep doing it, it will change. the last time we had mystery boxes (i forget if it’s been once or twice) it would only change the item once. not this time, i got as far as 3 different items (the third one was the one that i wanted so i stopped obviously). happy tapping!

Not sure how it’s false when I personally did it last night. You have to do it multiple times. I’m on android if that makes a difference, but I wouldn’t post anything that would mess with people.
Just bought two boxes and tried this trick and it didn’t work. Ended up with The worst two IMO, Blarney Castle and Duff Arena 🙁
I totally love the Pot “O” Gold Float. I think it’s a nice touch and hope they keep bringing more floats for our Springfields in the future events! 🙌🌈

Morning all. Happy St. Patrick’s Day from rainy Illinois. I was happy to see so many returning items and the free float. I had 98 donuts this morning…all bonus and free as I haven’t paid for donuts in over 10 months with KEM farming!! Highly recommend KEM farming if you haven’t tried it. I had 3 prizes available to me Duff Arena, Blarney Castle, and Notre Dame/Seamus. I got Notre Dame/Seamus on first offering!!…this never happens when there is a mix of character/building and building combos. I was very very happy. Maybe this will be a good day after all…but heading home straight after work for laundry and Iron Fist on Netflix. I do not like being out with the over indulging masses. Stay safe out there.

Bought Duffman at full price, so the discount kind of hurts a bit! Looking forward to Seamus, but seeing as my changes of getting him are 12.5%, I think I’ll pass. I had no problem with paying 150 for him, my luck I’ll blow through 320 donuts and only have 1 character (duff skin doesn’t count).
Hate the mystery box…just let me buy the leprechaun. Bought the box got the duff party liner 🙁 maybe next year
I’m pretty disappointed that there aren’t more new offerings this year. On the plus side, at least I finally have enough floats to make a mini parade.

Complete pass for me. My chances in the Mystery Box for a character are less than 50% and I don’t care about any of the buildings-only items. Since I was spending lots of donuts during the last event and the ongoing military school event, I am not going to risk it. Of course the Notre-Dame with Seamus is tempting, but I’ll just stay strong.
I got Duffman from some super-special deal a while back iirc and since he’s already premium, Lady-Duff and the van are not worth the donuts for me. What I love about Duffman is, that most (all?) of his tasks are animated, which is very rare. If I didn’t have him already, I’d pull the trigger now.
