Black Friday 2023: Rest of the Mystery Boxes

regular splash screen

Black Friday 2023 Mystery Box Contents:
Having covered the Gold Box that costs Tokens here’s a look at all those other Black Friday boxes that you can chance those sprinkles on.
I’ve listed these in order of cost.

Some items will be in more than one box so if it’s an option to empty these start with the cheapest, but if you’re short on sprinkles find a box that’s more likely to give you items you like rather than having a few goes and getting things you wish you didn’t win.

A reminder that most of these won’t show what’s bundled and may be internal rather than in-game names. I’ve had to fix a couple that really were confusing but I’ve not had chance to go through it all. Sorry.

Box order and costs:
Because there’s a lot of info here these are links so you can find each box and there’s a link at the end of each box to return to this list.

Black Friday 2023: Gold Mystery Box

regular splash screen

OK then, time for a look at the Black Friday Gold Box for this year.

Apologies that this doesn’t have what’s bundled with anything, and in some cases they’re internal names rather than the display names you’ll see.
To deal with that I’d need to go through every last bit of info for every single previous event right now. Sorry, but that’s not an option. Not if you want the info this month at least !!
I do plan to create a set of master lists at some point, but it’ll be next year at the earliest before that’s ready.

This is the box that costs Tokens. You will have been given one for free but if you want more it’ll involve real money to buy Donut packs.

Mirror Mayhem: Store Guide and Mystery Box

Mirror Mayhem Splash

Right then, time for a delayed look at what’s back for this event.
I’ll cover the Returning Content back in Store and what’s in the Mystery Box.

They were meant to be two separate posts but the Store Guide should have been up hours ago. Sorry ’bout that.

Lets’ get on with it then …

St. Patrick’s Day 2017 Offerings Available Now

Update 3/21/17: Many of you are reporting the items left the store early according to your in-game timers.  While, this post indicates the items leave the store on March 21st (today), it is EXTREMELY important for your games to provide players with accurate information.  Including on the game timers.  The best thing I can tell you to do is contact EA.  Let them know the timers were incorrect.  Hopefully that will cause them to fix the problem.
While we try to always let you know the end dates for items, you shouldn’t have to rely on a website (that’s not run by EA) to tell you when something leaves the stores.  That’s why there are timers in the games.  So it’s really important that EA fixes this issue.

Top O’ The Morning to Ya Tappers!

A Happy St. Paddy’s Day to everyone!  St. Patrick’s Day, the one day where everyone’s Irish!

So EA decided to release the annual St. Patrick’s Day content on St. Patrick’s eve here in the US…an excuse to break open the green beer a few hours early!

Anywho, despite not turning the rivers green this year, EA has brought back loads of items from St. Paddy’s of the past and given us one new (free) addition for 2017.  Let’s take a look… Continue reading

2016 Winter Event 101: Mystery Gifts

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The snow is falling in Springfield, which can only mean Winter has arrived in our pocket-sized towns!  And what better way to celebrate the Winter holidays than with presents?!!

This morning a Mystery Gift element was launched in our games, where you collect vouchers to earn returning Christmas/Holiday content.  And who doesn’t love presents?

I know a bunch of you have loads of questions about the ins and outs of how it all works, so let’s break it all down…

Superheros Takedown Has Arrived

Update 7pm EDT: If you’re just downloading both the App Store update and the Easter Update at the same time the Easter update will start up first.  However, get past the initial dialogue with Ned & Homer first and then get past the Gil Dialogue and the Mystery Box questline should start up.  However, now Mr. Burns MUST be free to trigger it.  It will no longer auto start.  So make sure Mr. B is free and you should see the ! to start it.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Superheros Takedown is finally in our app stores…a day late but still a welcomed sign!  This download will remove the event from our games (however the Beach House, Bart Cave & Rad Station Air Fortress will remain, until they expire in about a week, 4/7).

Note: So far this is only live on iOS.  Will update when it hits others Update is now available on all platforms

appstore1

So be sure to head over to your app store and download the removal….

There is one new change to the game…a refurbished Mystery Box!  Back with more details on this in a bit (just have to verify)…

In the meantime remember to reset your Confirm Donut Spend Button once you’ve downloaded the newest version AND be sure to go into your App Settings and turn off notifications again (if you want them off).  Mine were off, but then Homer said he better put on pants so I knew they needed to go back off (not ideal chatter for the workplace 😉 )

So now let’s get to those new details… Continue reading

What’s in the Mystery Box?

Mysterybox TSTOUpdated Below the fold with details from the April 1st, 2015 Mystery Box update.

The Mystery Box is a premium item that you can purchase for 6 donuts or you can get it for free every 5 days, as a bonus for playing the game every day. The Mystery Box could contain a premium item or it could contain a non-premium item, which one it reveals to you truly is a Mystery.

The Mystery Box is typically one of those premium items I would tell you not to purchase and save your donuts, unless of course you’re desperate for a Lemon Tree (the Mystery Box is the only way to get one), because you can earn one every 5 days and there’s no guarantee of a premium item. However, for those of you purchasing the Mystery Box, or just curious about what might be inside of yours every 5 days there are a few things you should know.

How Do I Get the Lemon Tree?

Not to sour you on the topic (haha) but the lemon tree can ONLY be won in the Mystery Box. (Please know that anyone who claims they can get you a lemon tree can only achieve this by a hack)

The sweet thing about the lemon tree is it’s another item that provides cash for your town! Every 6 hours the game hands you a basket of lemons and when you click on them they turn to cash!

When the game first came out if you saw a lemon tree in a friends’ town you could steal it from them and plant it in your Springfield. Then, after 24 hours any of your friends could steal it from you!

However, with the October 2012 update the ability to steal the lemon tree was disabled.  EA describes this as a glitch and say that they hope to get this ability restored in the future.

Have you been lucky enough to get the elusive Lemon Tree?
