Well looks like the Season Premiere tie-in may be doing a little magical teasing for the upcoming Halloween Event! EA dropped a Magical Monorail station in our games, in an apparent attempt to give us a little Halloween teaser…and, of course, to get us to drop some sprinkles!
Of course with that limited-time label, it can be tempting to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Magic Station to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Magical platform to your town…

Note: I didn’t indicate anything on here as to if this will be helpful for the next event…because no one (Except EA) knows. We can speculate, but you’re purely taking a chance if you think it’ll help.
Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
Many of you will grab this “just because it’s Harry Potter like”, and that’s ok. You buy items/design your Springfield in a way that makes you happy and that you like. So if you’re thinking about getting it because of that reason, go ahead and grab it.
But let’s not kid ourselves…it’s another Monorail Station for 80 donuts. If you already have several and don’t need another one pass. (I still have 2 stations in my inventory I can’t figure out how to fit into my Springfield)
This will NOT be a requirement for the next event (if it’s even helpful for it at all). EA wouldn’t make a premium item a requirement for an event. At most this will help you earn event currency, at least it’ll just be something for Springfield to look cool. So try not to get too far ahead of yourself on this one. If you like it, get it. Otherwise, pass. This applies to both Premium and Freemium players.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ll likely pass on this one. As I said above I still have two Monorails in my inventory I can’t quite figure out how to use. Plus, I’m not the biggest “pott-head” (as Wookiee calls them). But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Is it just me or do we all need a mini track piece.
I have a huge Springfield and had some hard time to put a nice Monorail track in my town. Later on we got the tunnels but I couldnt really use them because I just had 3 stations. Now I have 4 but its impossible to connect them because my old track doesnt fit. I have to move everything half of a small track up or down. Thats just stupid and also impossible without bombing 3/4 of my city.
So please EA give us a really small piece!!
I have exactly this problem. I have been fiddling about for ages and I still can’t get the pieces to connect. I am loathed to demolish my whole track so am still pondering what to do.
Frustrating. But you may need to retract your track.
We had that discussion at the beginning of the monorail and it wasn’t solved by EA, so don’t hold your breath for a 3/4 or 1/4 straight track.
A lot of people had to move their stations and much other stuff.
If I remember correctly, it Cranky Old Guy went almost ballistic about it.
yeah, i recall it. had the same issue and moved everything 1 square left or right. but it was not that problematic. take this as a challenge, and try to enjoy.
I hate not having more station parts with the station offered. I have the north pole station from a mystery box or something like that, but i didnt connect it because it looks incomplete without the stairs and platforms etc…So i’m not buying any more until this is fix.
I felt the same disappointment with my North Pole station, so I expanded it with building parts from the Classic Mansion (Springfield Heights).

Very creative mix😊👍. Before I took mine apart, I also used Zenith city buildings as surrounds and one of my neighbors used modern mansion parts to create a whole sub-station.
I was going to buy this, until I saw we didn’t get/couldn’t build any extra pieces for it. I don’t have the Krusty Station yet – are the extra pieces offered again (I can’t see them in the store) or do they only appear after station purchase? If the latter, any discounts?
You need the Rail Yard for extra mononrail tracks (and bonuts)

I would say he meant extra pieces going with Krusty station – like stairs, pavement with benches, etc. Those are not offered in store, he was asking if they will appear in store after you purchase Krusty Station.

Yes, I meant the extra building pieces for the Station e.g. stairs, extra platform etc. I have an extensive monorail track, with 1,148 spare track pieces. I need more track pieces like I need a hole in my head 😉
I’m not sure why you sent that to me… I have had the monorail and Rail Yard since the day it was released. I have the 3 standard stations, but not the premium stations (Krusty, Magic, North Pole). I’m on my 5th or 6th round of bonuts this week!

I do love the look of this due to the Kings Cross homage but I still haven’t come up with a monorail route that makes use of the existing stations, let alone adding another one, so it’s a pass for me.
Pass?! Uh-huh. Krusty Station and a new station in the store means Christmas in September! It’s all about the monorail. My Springfield is just a decoration for the monorail.

I got it because I wanted another station but this is poor compared to other stations. And no stairs? Come on EA.
The stairs are built in…i’m assuming they lead to an exit in the back or side, which we just can’t see.
What magic does it do, disappearing donuts?, pass unless it takes me to another land I can work on??

An immediate buy for me. I am a train, tram, tube, Monorail and trolleybus fanatic.
Well, I purchased it, just in case. My monorail was designed for much smaller Springfield, did not want to redesign that part, so another station forced me to make newer parts of my pocket Springfield accessible through monorail. Was suprised that I have about 600 pieces of every type of rail in my inventory – as I have been doing rail construction every week for 5 donuts since this reward became available.
You’ve got me beat and I’ve been running the same amount of time! I have 350-450 of each (may have missed a couple of weeks here and there).
If at all, I might end up buying the Krusty Burger Station to get an endpoint for my second track passing between Heights and Springfield. I don’t want to rip up my city’s design and the three original stations are all placed “downtown” with the polar station residing in Heights and its track ending in Springfield after the tunnel without a station. At least the KB station has some slightly more show-related design.
I bought it, partly because of the Magic / Halloween vibe, partly because I need to expand my monorail into the new land. Another station is just the ticket, so I don’t need to move everything else.
The thing I would like most for my monorail is the ability to make it stop anywhere you want, not just at the stations. That way you could make up your own station, or just have a little whistle stop somewhere.
With a little imagination (and a little bit of magic) you can always find places to use your items in this game. Look at me, it took me several monthes to finally place the tunnel to Springfield Heighs because I couldn’t find enough space for my rails (I play since the beginning, so of course, I have a lot of stuff in front of my mountains). But I managed to find a way.
I was very pleased to buy this as, irrespective of what it might do later, it looks good in Springfield Heights. Of course, having placed it, one now has to embark upon the misery of trying to piece it up with the existing stations. If only you could tailor make track pieces!

let me see if anyone can tell me: i don’t have the monorail questline cause i’ve missed it long time ago (my monorail questline ended after the springfield dump -i’m only allowed to farm trash cans-). the question is: if i buy one monorail station then i’ll get the monorail questline?

The Monorail is a permanent part of the game and when you hit game play level of 20 should activate. If you are above actual game play of level 20, then you might want to contact EA.
Do you have the three depots? Metal, plastic and glass? Those are required in addition to the Springfield dump.
I love the monorail. It’s my most favorite part of my town. What I would love to have would be a track switching station. This way I can have multiple monorails running on multiple tracks all criss crossing each other throughout my town. That would be something worth spending donuts on!
I took out my monorail because it was interfering with my game performance. There are other design aspects of the game I enjoy more. No worries.
When I took mine out, EA was hardline about a cap on the number of pieces in the game. I got back around 300 pieces to play with when I stored it all. I actually haven’t missed it.
I’ve been hoping for another station, so I can have them pretty evenly-spaced (good transit idea!), plus I love HP, so I bought it instantly, and it’s already in place. Sweet! I also bought the Krusty Drive-Through, just to have it in case, but it’s so ugly I immediately put it in storage.
Maybe if it came with some more pieces…it’s not magical enough for me to dip into my Halloween sprinkle stash.
I took out most of my monorail already… I like the look, but no plans to expand my monorail again🤷♀️. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if it has any event value…
This will go perfectly with my Halloween section. I just have to get the North Pole Express to put in my Christmas section and the Drive-Thru Krusty Burger and you can travel to all parts of Springfield.

Kind of serendipitous. I’d finally put the run-down grubby station away , shortened the area of track where it had been leaving just enough room for a “pretend” station (bridge and staircase) but wished I had something better. So, yes, I’ll probably be getting this – it’s not real big and I really like the look of it.

Noticed that after I got the bonus tracks and donuts, it still letting me craft track pieces. Does this mean we can still eat Don for crafting track pieces?
Yes, you can still earn donuts for crafting track pieces. I have an obscene number of track pieces, just because… free donuts, why Not?
I also like the new station, and since I’m farming a few hundred donuts per day, it’s relatively cheap for me. I like the idea a few folks have posted though, of storing some of the more common stations and using the premium ones in their place, rather than having too many.

I agree with you. My A-Springfield hasn’t that possibility, my B-Springfield has. So it must be a glitch. Don’t tell EA, they might fix it.
The thing that frustrates me is I never get a mountain tunnel for my monorail so it’s permanently unfinished. I’m hoping one will lol up with this mini quest as it’s frustrating to only get track pieces each week!
Seemed odd for another Monorail to chime along but oh well. No plans on joking it up to a train but like the look

I agree. We need more land and a SIGNIFICANT increase in the number of decorations allowed in our towns.
I agree. I’d also like to see the monorail go off the edge of the screen and reappear in Krustyland, as another way to get there… as well as being able to put many otherwise useless decorations there that currently, we can’t.
The monorail belongs in Krustyland! So much empty land and we already have the Krusty Burger station…that is a great suggestion🚝🤡😄.
