Love is in the air!  Although maybe not so much in the Simpsons’ household…
Love and War is the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns, and it’s an all-out romance novel affair!  Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Love and War 2021: Turbo Tappin’ Act 2 Amorous Avarice

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Love is in the air!  Although maybe not so much in the Simpsons’ household…
Love and War is the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns, and it’s an all-out romance novel affair!  Also always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

The Love and War Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it.  This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (9 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!

For Act 2 we’re tasked with collecting Novels!  Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the second part of the story.  So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 2 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for Amorous Avarice…

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Friday Filler – Does Marge Define Women’s Weaknesses or Strengths?

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

Like many of you, I had forgotten (or never knew) that Marge had tried her hand at authoring a romance novel. I had to do some research to find the information that I needed to jog my memory. But, then found myself still saying “Oh…right…” without really remembering the episode. 

As it turns out, and after a little more research, it seems that most women who read, aren’t really into the truth (non-fiction), as much as something to take them away from the truth (real life). And, the more tawdry the better!

Is the penchant for consuming vast quantities of hot, illicit tales of passion just a “women thing?” Or does it point out an actual major difference between men and women in general?

With Valentine’s Day coming up this weekend, it is worth discussing, if only to help women admit their weaknesses (for romance) and men to understand why they will never really meet the standard that women have set for them.

And more to the point… Does Marge actually exude a primary weakness in women, or a strength that actually insures the survival of the human race?

Love and War Act 2 is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Love is in the air!  Although maybe not so much in the Simpsons’ household…
Love and War is the latest event to hit our pocket-sized towns, and it’s an all-out romance novel affair! Act 2 of Love and War is upon us!  Also always, loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Side note…sorry this is up so late.  Crazy morning at work…

Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on March 10th.  However, Act 3 will start on February 21st  (Note the Sunday start date). 

Things kick off for Act 2 with some dialogue between Marge and Temperance…

Temperance: So let me understand this, I’m just a character in your novel?
Marge: I guess so. Honestly, I’m just as confused as you are.
Temperance: Yes, you look it.
Marge: *grumble*
Temperance: Then you were the one who made my husband so evil. Why would you do that?
Marge: Well, when I created you, I was kind of going through some things with my own husband. Just like I am now. And at most times in between.  Anyway, writing this story was helping me work through my feelings.
Temperance: I’m sorry to hear that. Where is your husband?
Marge: I kicked him out.
Temperance: Women can do that here?! Tell me more about this wondrous world…

This triggers the Act 2  questline, Amorous Avarice, and is followed by a 4hr task for Marge and Temprance, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (155).  Amorous Avarice is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.

Love and War 2021 Act 1 Full Dialogue: Stranger Than Eviction

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Act 2 is slated to start TOMORROW, February 12th.  Act 1 isn’t going anywhere, so if you didn’t finish it you’ll still have time to. Look for Act 2 to start around 9am ET.  (1400 UTC)
You’ll need Marge and Temperance free for the first round of tasks (and those earning event currency).  Also, 1 new premium character combo will be released.  150 donuts for the combo.
