Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Ok, let’s talk about this Shattered Dreams Mystery Box that so many of you are asking about…and confused about.  And I can’t say I blame you for being confused, EA did drop this on us during an Event…but didn’t really drop it.  They kind of teased it out.  So, let’s see if we can help get everyone on the same page.

Now I’m going to stipulate this with a word of caution… box is NOT live in our games right now.  So take everything I’m saying with a grain of salt because EA could still make adjustments to this up until it goes live in our games.  At which point I’ll have another post with more specific information.  For now, this is just some basic information gathered from the game and the files, and some assumptions I’m making based on what I’m seeing.

Addicts Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So, here is your Open Thread…..

Happy Easter!  For those that celebrate, I hope you’re having a wonderful day, and for those that don’t, I still hope you’re having a wonderful day! Personally, I’m spending the day with the Little Addicts and our family, as we celebrate Teddy’s first Easter!  It’s been a nice relaxing weekend with family!

Lots of things you may have missed this week around the Addicts Site:

No new Simpsons tonight, but they’ll be back next week with a new episode.

Update time in TSTO…hell on wheels!  Thoughts on the latest event?  How are you doing with the prize track?

I know a lot of you are still confused about the Broken Dreams Tokens/Mystery Boxes.  I’ll have a post up on this soon…but for now know that it’s not anything to worry about/think about until this event ends.  The box won’t appear until this event is finished, and it’ll run BETWEEN events, not during.  You can earn tokens now (either via Daily Challenges or via buying donuts), BUT they’ll just be stored for now until this event ends and the box triggers. (no, there’s currently no way to see how many you have)  Basically, don’t worry about it until May. 🙂

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Turbo Tappin’ Hell on Wheels: Of Clunkers and Junkers (Act 1)

Rev those engines Tappers because Hell on Wheels has arrived! Which car will be the king of the derby?  Well, it’s up to you to find out in TSTO’s latest update…Hell on Wheels!

The Hell on Wheels Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it.  This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week and taking us through a new part of the event!

For Act 1 we’re tasked with collecting Mufflers!  Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the first part of the story.  So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 1 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for Of Clunkers and Junkers…

Hell on Wheels is Live! The Rundown and What You Need To Know

And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…

Once again we see another multi-event in Springfield.  So love them, or hate them, they’re still here.  So let’s all try to make the best of this…

Anywho….things kick off with a series of 6s tasks for Homer and Marge…

After you’ve completed the initial task you’ll kick off the Hell on Wheels Event!

App Store Update: Hell on Wheels

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Looks like the newest update for TSTO, that we talked about here, has hit our app stores.

For now it’s only available on iOS…Android and Amazon should follow soon.  So if it’s available for you, download it. Available on iOS and Android.  Amazon should be soon…

Remember this is just the App Store downloaded.  THIS WILL NOT GO LIVE IN OUR GAMES UNTIL TOMORROW, APRIL 13TH, AT 11AM ET.  So please do not panic if you download the update and the new event doesn’t start up for you.  Check the date and time, if it’s not April 13th at 11am ET (that’s Eastern US time)/ 1500 UTC.  

Now for those of you that want to know…here’s who to keep free for the event kickoff tomorrow.

Homer and Marge kick things off with 6s tasks each.  Then you’ll need Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Krusty, Cletus, Lenny, & Carl free to earn event currency.

Beyond that get ready for things to kick off tomorrow at 11am ET!  (note it looks like there are a few things included in the files that weren’t laid out in the packet from EA.  So a few surprises still left!)
