Wild West 2016 and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Wild West Event released a TON of new items into our Springfields.  Everything from rocks to blacksmiths to Cacti and hot springs!  So let’s take a look at how these new and items impact our Conform-O-Meter…

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and  XP from everything you collect in the game.  When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town.  If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Wild West event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements (level 60 did though, and we’ll cover that in another post), it did bring a bunch of buildings and decorations.  So let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating: Continue reading →

Wild West Removal Update Live

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Wild West Removal Update has hit the App Store.  Right now I only see it for iOS…but Android and Kindle sit tight.  It’s currently live on iOS and Android (for Android you may have to search Tapped Out in your app store and update from there.  It doesn’t always show in the Play Store for some reason).  Kindle players, let me know when it hits for you… And now it’s also live for Kindle.

Downloading this will REMOVE the Wild West Event from your game.  You’ll no longer see bandits or the event icons.  Springfield will return to normal.  (and so will your Daily Challenges)

This update should also cure a lot of your space issues for many players.  Since all of the Wild West items are being pulled…

Nothing new to play with the update, but there are two new items are in the store as well..leftovers from the event..as well as a little teaser in the App Store description..

Springfield Showoff: Wild West

As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we find ourselves sometimes forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU. So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small. Brag about it to the world. We want you to. Turbo Tappin’ the Wild West Premium: Prairie Maggie

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Wild, Wild West is alive and well in our pocket sized Springfields!  With guns to sling, dirt to kick & cow tongues to stare at.

As with all events there are new premium characters in our stores to help us with the event and enhance our tapping experience, on the premium side. And of course these characters come with their own fun questlines.   But remember…just because those questlines popup in your task book does not mean you have to jump on them immediately.  You can wait until the event is over to complete these, as your characters should spend all their time at the Town Plaza grinding out that event currency!

In this post we’re going to cover the final premium character added for the Wild West Event…Prairie Maggie.  So let’s take a look at her questlines and see just what you need to do to ride out Maggie’s rootin’ tootin’ adventure in your pocket-sized Springfield…

Last Call for the Wild West

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just popping in with a reminder that the Wild West Event ends today…May 30th.  Looks like the timer will wind down at 8pm EDT…so it’s got a bit of an odd end time.

BUT just because the timer is running out doesn’t mean the Wild West will immediately leave your Springfield.  It will take an App Store Update to remove the Wild West from our towns.  And it’s likely that update won’t hit until Tuesday..

This DOES mean that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

Addicts Open Thread

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread!  So, let’s get the conversation going!  Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long.  This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING.  Just no Add me requests…those should go here.  We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

So…here is your Open Thread. Season 27 of The Simpsons wrapped up last week, what was your favorite episode of Season 27?

The Wild West Event ends tomorrow (later in the day…instead of the usual 0800 GMT).  Did you enjoy the event?  Ready for it to be over?  What do you think will be next?

Wild West 2016 Prize Guide: Act 3, Prize 9 Carl’s Dad Caverns

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Wild West is alive and well in our Springfields!  As the Wild West Event has hit our games and it’s full of old west inspired decorations, buildings & characters!

This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story.  To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act.  Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event.  For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting TNT (ico_wildwest_tnt_md) to unlock each prize!

The final Wild West Prize awarded at 28,370ico_wildwest_tnt_md is Carl’s Dad Caverns…because why not? 😉
