The Wild West is alive and well in our Springfields! As the Wild West Event has hit our games and it’s full of old west inspired decorations, buildings & characters!
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Act containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the Third Act you’re tasked with collecting TNT (
) to unlock each prize!
The seventh Act 3 prize is awarded at 19,280 is Longshot Skinner, because it’s not the Old West without a disciplinarian riding through town on a horse with a shotgun…
So let’s take a closer look at this seventh prize and just what happens when you unlock it in your Springfield…

Last time (if you are traveling in continuity) I mentioned The Simpson’s first episode aired on December 17th 1989 and that is still true no matter how much I messed with space time. I must admit, I’m feeling a little stupid, almost as stupid as a couple of other travelers Bill and Ted (whose excellent movie premiered on February 17th 1989), “why do I feel as stupid as them?” Well, lets just say when you meet true genius, it’s best not to have your facts wrong… Let’s leave it at that. I’ve been doing a little research on “Genius” and ran into Stephen Hawking but he was just born (1942), then went back further to meet Albert Einstein but he was just born (1879) then traveled forward again…. (1949) Wile E. Coyote, (1993) Brain (from Animaniacs) and his pal Pinky, (1996) Dexter’s Lab (Dexter) and I’m sure I forgot a few other Geniuses along the way so I went back to January 14th 1990.

Well many of you have been requesting it, so what better time than now for another edition of Springfield Showoff! This is where we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
With the Wild West event wrapping up (Act 3 ends May 30th), I thought now would be a great time to show us your Old West towns!
S0000….we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on Monday (May 30th). So show us what you’ve done with your TSTO Wild West Stuff!
Of course those are just some of the many Wild West items dropped into our games from this event…
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure it is there by about 9pm EDT Sunday (May 29th). We can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂

The world is one big place but one of the things which brings me joy has always been The Simpsons. I quote it in life, joke with coworkers/classmates, write on a blog about it… it’s just always there. Who’d have thought almost 27 years ago that these silly yellow characters would still be around? Seriously, there are people who have never lived in a world without them (barring those poor folks in North Korea). Anyhoo… it’s time for the resident walking carpet to pop in with some more Simpsons News for all my favorite tappers. I know anyone with a computudora and access to the interwebs can find this stuff, but we like to collect it all for you just in case.
