Just dropping in with a quick PSA on a NEW feature with the Stonecutters update…the Nuclear Option!
That’s right Tappers…EA has FINALLY given those who want to completely redesign their Springfield the button they’ve all been most coveting….a STORE ALL button!
But we want to warn you…be careful! If you Tap on this and go through with it…YOUR ENTIRE SPRINGFIELD WILL BE STORED. Great tool if you want to rebuild your Springfield…bad tool if you’re aimlessly tapping.
Here’s how you access the Nuclear Option:
Go into your Move Menu (the one in the bottom right with the 4 way arrows)
From there you’ll see the a nuclear explosion button on your bottom left:
Tap on that button to STORE YOUR ENTIRE SPRINGFIELD. It will warn you just in case you hit it by mistake:
So there you guys have it…your Nuclear Option PSA! A long time request of Tappers is FINALLY here! Just be care how you use this new power!

Hey hey hey… Wookiee here to let you know just what happens if you push the button.
Dear Jebus! The agony… the agony… the murderin and the scorchin and the flavorin and the glayvin…
Just kidding. So I’ve always been that kid that pushed the button I was told not to. Good news is I did it in my B town where I really haven’t done anything besides 2D. Like Alissa said, to blow everything up (aka put it all in storage)… go to your move menu.
Isn’t that town just ugly? It’s been asking to be blown up for a long time if you ask me. That mushroom cloud is all you need to tap. Your game will then make you confirm your decision FOUR times. That’s right tappers, there’s really no way to accidentally do this so don’t worry. Here’s the warnings… they made me giggle because I knew I was gonna make my B town go kablooey.
Your game will then take you to the load screen while it figures out what to do with all your irradiated bits and pieces.
When you next get to see your town, all that’s left will be your Simpsons house and Krustyland Shuttle plus any rubbish you may have left in your town. The rest of your schtuff, bits and bobs will be in storage. This means any character tasks you had going are canceled and until you replace buildings, the only characters you’ll have will be Lisa and Homer just like the days when you were on Level 1. It also means your conformometer will reset.
Additionally, there’s been a lot of questions if this is isolated to just Springfield or Krustyland or effected both. Well, after I atom bombed my Springfield, KL was fine and dandy. Just because I have an appetite for destruction (and also was called a guinea Wookiee by reader dapimp), I put up buildings in my Springfield and then dropped the bomb on KL. I can confirm the storage is specific to each area although my B town theme park is wrecked lol.
Hopefully that clears it all up for you. As a note, I would advise waiting to do this option until after the Stonecutter Event is over. In addition, there have been reports of decorations being placed in inventory that disappeared from the game with this event so I would hate for this to happen to anyone desiring to Nuke Their Springfield Til It Glowed. I can tell you my decs weren’t effected but that’s just me. I’ve always said I’d rather be lucky than S-M-R-T.

UPDATE 830 PM EST (BUNNY):
EA seems to giveth and then taketh away. It seems that possibly an issue with items NOT storing and going into outer space may have caused EA to disable the Nuclear option in both Springfield and Krustyland. It was a cool idea, just glad they know to pull a glitch before too much chaos is caused. Lol. I hope they bring it back. I liked it.
The update also took away the option to store many items, like flowers, shrubs, trees (palm tree too), lamp posts…etc. These were the same items people were stating went missing when the Nuclear option was used.
I once nuked mine and when I placed back the cletus’ farm a quest started asking me to plant triffids, thought something else would happen but that was all 🙁
hey if i nuked my town i have to wait until the building is done? like when u buy it the first time and have to wait 24 hrs to the building was done..
No… the buildings don’t have to be rebuilt.
i nuked my town so i could re build and now i am missing santas workshop, atom mans statue, theater and the building that made the bob clones. where are they and how do i get them back. How do i contact EA. What is the email or number.
Double check all tabs in inventory. Many times something you think is a building is actually a Decoration. Or vice versa.

Tempted to nuke after this event. My bottom right boundary is a mess and my castles look pathetic. And since it’s the only direction to expand, that part of town looks a bit unkempt. *sigh* I probably won’t anyway… My town is too small for a total reboot right now. I’m probably going to do construction walls like a theme park on that side to just separate from the goodness.
On the off chance I do, however, should I fear losing any decorations? I know a few limited time stuff are holding my Conform-O-Meter in place. So that scares me.

Try storing a few… see what happens. If they store OK, then yes… tuck them all in then Nuke. Keep track of how many you have just in case.
Stored by entire spring field the other day and while rebuilding noticed that Santa’s Toy Workshop from 2014 X-mas has disappeared. Tried to contact EA the only options they had was a live chat or phone call so I think I’ll try again sometime tomorrow and hopefully the email option will be available. But in the mean time do you guys (and gals) know of anything I can try to see if it reappears?
Myself… I would prefer a phone call. Email is no longer an option. Only time they will email you is after the case is open, even then… it is only to send you info, rarely is it from an email you can even reply to now.
Did you check ALL the tabs in Inventory. The Main and the extras?

What happens to buildings under construction when you nuke your town?
They go into your inventory as they were being built
Do they lose their progress? :/
I’m itching to overhaul my town… when do you guys reckon is going to be the best time to do it? Obviously not during an event, but how does it affect non event storylines? Can you just carry on once you’ve redone your town or will they restart?
Do it before a major event hits. Then get places with characters and characters alone out into the game first in case something does.

Considering nuking my town. When nuked, do the buildings reappear when placed or do they go “under construction” again?

Hi there, I nuked my town and I noticed that I am missing one of my pumpkin houses. I got one in 2013 halloween and then another one in 2014 halloween… What should I do?
Contact EA and let them know they’ve gone missing. They should be able to go in and restore them for you.
I’ve been considering nuking my Springfield to try to make it look like a more functional town, more realistic I guess.
Are there any recent problems with losing items? Should I go for it?
Yes and no. Reports of missing are very very rare. Even then, many found the item later or the EA rep did when they called. If anything, just take note of what you have. Then contact them if you have any questions. 🙂
I knew this is really stupid and im expecting a miracle but i didnt like some of my town layout and didnt really want to NUKE IT!!! But i thought what the hell and nuked it! Dumbass idea as i now want my old town back is there anyway i can revert it back , any help would be great, thanks in advance
No. Sorry. That’s why it has all those “are you sure???” built in. No going back.

Unfortunately not. The only option I can think of is to contact EA and ask them to roll back your town to an earlier period…but they may not do it. Usually that’s reserved for when something is seriously wrong with your game. But you can always try.
I really want to nuke my town, I’ve got stuff everywhere. None of my characters are doing any tasks, but Lisa has a quest to have the town hall and that still has 6 hours left to be built. Do you know if I nuke it now, will it go in storage and I’ll have to start the 24 hrs over or will it stay there and not affect the timer? Thanks. (:
It stores it all but Simpsons House and a few other things. As far as a building in the making, that one I have not tried. It may just stay. If anything… just wait. 😉

I’ve been thinking about nuking my Springfield and I wasn’t sure if I should because of the glitch… Does that still happen when some things don’t get stored but they get out into oblivion? Or was it fixed? Thanks in adv.
For me…the only thing I ran into was I had EXTRA Squidport tiles due to a glitch long fixed, so when I Nuked my town the 2nd time, they vanished.

I nuked my town and all of my stuff was put in storage save Simpson House, Krustyland shuttle, Lemon Tree, and my castles. including trees flowers and such. Now I feel as though I spaced my town out as I have no room for anything lol. Thought I’d post something positive about it.
My boyfriend has the nuke option in Krustyland, but not the one in Springfield … may it be linked to the fact that he downloaded the Italian version of the game? Anybody else having the same issue? Thanks!
That’s odd. It could be because of the different version, but i would think if it’s in K-Land it should be in Springfield as well. He may want to try contacting EA to make sure it’s not part of a bigger issue. 🙂

If I nuke my town, will everything take 3-24 hours to rebuild? Or is it instantly built once I replace it?
I am playing with it now. Some buildings in the past would take a lil time to rebuild long before the nuke option (I think that was a glitch on times). I am blowing my town this weekend and will restart next weekend on rebuild, so I will let you know if I notice any of them. Otherwise the majority of everything was instant placed. You already built it. 😉

Can’t wait to nuke my town!!! I’ve been wanting to redesign for a while, seeing as very time I do I always end up condensing my Springfield and I always have more extra space than before. Sadly I have to wait until Brandine Spuckler is done birthing another spuckler. Only 30 more days……. 🙁

Hi everyone….has anyone else noticed that boardwalk benches, normal benches and fountains were missing after they blew up their towns with the updated button? I just sent a message to EA, but I wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue.
So if I blow up my Springfield everything will go into the inventory I wouldnt if lost any character s or house s
That is what is supposed to happen now that EA corrected the Nuclear option. If you try it and notice anything missing at all, alert EA right away.
I just want to confirm that if I bomb KL, only KL will be affected?
I have not tested it since the re-launch, but that is how it originally worked. Only the town you were in as KL and SF are two separated locations and one doesn’t really link to the other so to speak in that way.
UPDATE: I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY BLOWN UP MY TOWN!!!!!!!! No items were lost and it only took me half a day to redesign it. Both me and wife nuked our Springfields. It has taken me about half a day to rebuild my town (again) but I have redesigned it and condensed some buildings to make more space. Next on the list is to find the inspiration to build a giant Springfield Park.
None of my characters are moving anymore 🙁 even when I give them an action they stay in place is it normal?

If your characters aren’t moving place some road if there’s no road they won’t move
Would anyone like to nuke my town and rebuild it for me so that it doesn’t look like such a mess the only thing I ask is that when you’re done I maintain my five star rating and that you use all of my multipliers so that I get the maximum experience and cash out of my town ;^>

After the event, I’ll be the first to try it. I don’t really mind losing some decorations (some I wish I never bought). I’m going to wait till the event ends though so I can rack up the last remaining emblems. I won’t make it to the table or last prize but I’m fairly sure I’ll get the third to last prize along with the Ark.
Has anyone else had any success in blowing up their Springfield without any missing items?
Did you try to do it recently? I don’t know anyone who’s tried it since it came back. Unfortunately I blew up my town the first time and haven’t rebuilt so I can’t recreate the experiment.
I have not tried to do it yet. I was skeptical since I read up above about reportings of missing decorations.
I gotta hope that it’s good to go since it came back and we can also now store decorations EA had frozen. Time will tell. No harm in waiting a bit to find out lol.

I did this shortly after the tutorial and got 3 flaming bushes, so did my girlfriend.. Might be a glitch but I like it!
Not shabby at all and you get the XP bonus from the bushes.
