Can you believe it’s almost our 1 Year Anniversary?! Yea, we can’t either! We’ve been blogging here at TSTO Addicts for nearly 1 year! How crazy is that?! On August 14th we will be celebrating 1 Year since we starting bringing you Tapped Out Coverage! Wow does time fly!
So…we’ve got some awesome things in store for you guys next week (during our Blogiversary week) but before we can kick things off we figured we’d do what we did to celebrate our 6th month Blogiversary….get to know more about YOU! Yes that’s right…we want to know more about our AMAZING Community of Tappers we have here at TSTO Addicts so we’ve put together another little poll ….the results of which we’ll share in a fun way next week! So we hope that you’ll take a minute to answer the poll questions so we can learn more about you, and you can learn more about each other!

This forum is awesome! It’s filled with really helpful facts, and the people are so friendly. I recently left another Tapped Out blog that I had been following since its beginning when a very “cranky old” writer began posting blogs about his political views, and then insulting anyone who disagreed with him! He actually called me a “moron!” He also routinely trashes YOUR forum. I can’t be a member of such a negative community. Yours is so positive, and has no politics! Love you guys!

My promise has always been to provide the amazing readers of this community with the best TSTO/Simpsons content in a fun way, negativity only breeds more negativity. And there’s enough of that in the world already! TSTO should be the escape from the negativity in the world, not just another channel for it. So we try to provide a fun atmosphere..and glad you appreciate it! 🙂

What is a Freemium/Premium Hybrid player? Aren’t all Premium players hybrid players since I don’t think you’re able to play the game solely with premium items. Does it mean someone that started out as only a freemium player and then changed to premium? If so, I would imagine most of us started that way to some degree. I don’t know. This choice confused me. I checked off premium player, though I started as a freemium for the first few weeks. When the Golden Scratch-Off Tickets were first introduced, I eventually was seduced by the ‘dark side’ and became a premium player.
I quite like this Freemium/Premium Hybrid term as I think of a premium player as someone who is willing to spend money on quite a regular basis where I have only ever done a once off purchase with one of Gil’s old deals so I would class myself as a hybrid as I have not been too keen on spending any money again since then. I could be completely wrong with that but that’s how I interpreted it 🙂
Okay, I can understand that.
I prefer the term meanium p!ayer to indicate they don’t buy everything

I came along looking for a way to add friends and stayed because of all the great info. My kids got me started in the game, now I play it more than they do (mostly because I am always telling them to get off the game and do school work (they take highschool classes online)). Now I am the one, thanks to y’all with the update information and trivia! Thanks for making me look good!

I don’t really post much (actually I’ve never posted anything on your blog before lol) but I just want to ask a question…
So I’ve been playing TSTO since like the beginning, literally and so far I’ve got most of the stuff, but I was really bummed when I went on holiday on Easter and because I couldn’t get on all the time I missed out on a few things like johnny fiestas and the blocko store 🙁
Do you think they will rerelease some of the Easter content? The reason I’m asking you guys is because I think you’re the best people to ask!!!

lol well thank you for the kind words. it’s possible we’ll see the Easter stuff make a comeback, but as far as when it’s hard to say. It could be with another event, or it could be next spring. 🙂

Can’t thank you guys enough for all the information you provide. Your fast response and patience with all of us is amazing. When I first started playing I used to check several sites for info, but soon found this is the only site I need. Checking here is just as much a part of my game as the game itself. During the Stonecutters event, it became clear that I needed neighbors. So I Googled how to find neighbors and I stumbled onto this site. I never looked back. You are so helpful, creative and entertaining. Not only am I addicted to the game, I’m addicted to this site! And guess what? On August 14 I will be celebrating 16 amazing years of marriage. Could that be a sign of good things to come?

Hey guys! I’ve been following y’all since the beginning and I know I really don’t have much to say usually but I have a mouth full today!
First of all, the information you’re constantly sharing with us is incredible. Sometimes you feed us things that I don’t even think Google would know. Seriously, it’s awesome.
Two, I love that you do such a good job of keeping the drama to a minimum. I seriously don’t read other sites because I just can’t handle it. In this same ish category, thank you for keeping things here pg13. That’s much appreciated 🙂
Lastly, thank you for all the time and effort you put into this site. Without you guys I’d be missing stuff, I’d have wasted all kinds of money, and we wouldn’t have the chance to meet other addicts and encourage/inspire each other.

On your If You Could Change One Thing I forget to add that it would be cool to add a Bargain Donuts section.
Once in a while I run across comments saying that Some Store is selling discounted iTunes gift cards. Also someone’s comments prompted me to realize I could turn in my credit card rewards points for an iTunes gift card. I got a $50 iTunes card just in time for the yard sale that way. I would love to hear the ways other people saved money on donuts. I am a bargain hunter at heart and need to justify my donut purchases, lol.

And.. done! And thank you for all the effort you guys take too help us in our games. I know plenty other apps that I can’t get much help from if something happens.lol And one question. Do ios games usually save progress on icloud? I deleted a game to get some space and downloaded it again, and my progress was there. but I did that with angry birds go (another one) and all my progress was lost. (even when I sign in to my rovio account) 🙁 And if they do how can I tell? I don’t know if this is going to be a hard one, but thanks in advance! ( and all the other ones that I forgot too!) 🙂
From what I have seen, I know this game does load to the cloud. As far as others, I do not know if you need to initiate it from your end through your device of what you do or do not save to the cloud. May be something in your app settings or if you go in your cloud and check. Each app has its own requirements and availability.

I first started going to Tapped Out Wiki for help, then discovered Tapped Out Daily and finally discovered TSTO Addicts and have never left. Love the site, it covers so many aspects of the game and fun stuff too. Keep it up guys.

My favourite tsto site! I do recommend adding an option for ‘iPod’ since that’s what I tap on (I just put it in as iPhone) and also perhaps allow the form to type where we are from? I’m from Barbados, ‘Other’ makes me sad lol it would be cool to see exactly how far the fan base is. Keep it up1 😀 😀
Aw well thank you! And yes, I thought about adding a box for it…but when it comes to putting the results together anytime a write in option is there it makes everything crazy for analysis 🙁 However I have some other ideas about just where everyone is located directly 🙂
Done. Interesting question’s their’s lots more you could ask but you’d need a form a mile long! Now off subject but do you think that with the crossover episode with family guy coming up do you think both games might do something collaborative in some kind of crazy way or is that a step to far? It would be great to be able to cross both games together for a month long special event & spend donuts on something for family guy that would go into that game & clams on simpsons stuff that would go into that game. I’m sure it would be great for both games and get people who only play one or the other to have a go at both ( I play both & use your site for both) . It would be great for those who play both I think it would make it really interactive having to play both & swap & change to get everything. ( it would be a really busy time though lol)

I don’t think a cross over event will happen for the games. I think EA and TC are just not fans of each other, and right now out for the same “donut money” sadly.

I found this site sometime around the Easter event. You had the best and easiest to comprehend information, so I hung around. I wish I had followed your advice better during Easter and would not have done as well during the Stonecutters event without you.
