Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
We just received a mini in-game update….and you guys have a million questions about it. What’s it for? What’d it do? What’s different?
Right now it appears it’s just a patch for the update (perhaps repairing some of the glitches we talked about here). There’s nothing major that’s different in the game itself…but we’ll dig a bit and see if we can find any changes, beyond glitch repair!
UPDATE: Here I am so proud of myself that I found a difference only to see many of our wonderful readers have reported the same thing much earlier lol. Here’s the change… All the event skins have been added to the Clash of Clones character list.

I have unlocked Archer Lisa and the Recycle Castle and I see the recycle Castle items in my inventory – But, they are locked? And I have yet to be able to use Archer Lisa in game. Just wondering at what point they are actually used in the timeline.

I do not like this new update, one of the reasons I installed the TSTO is because it was so much different to these “attacking/defending games”…
They do try to mix it up. Others are quite enjoying it as Simpsons have always been about satire and mimicking or making fun of popular things. This is just their take on all the hype over games and TV series about this kind of stuff. It is ok if you do not like it. There is not a way to please everyone.
Just got back in and a hundred (not including the ones I got just now) are gone 🙁

Also you can get cheaters from clicking on your buildings, I have had four so far at random. 🙂

15 free donuts! Ok, so I am having a heck of a time with this update and my nook hd+. Game works fine but, attacks of visiting neighbors causes a crash. I cleared cache, helped for a little and then, I did a complete re-install, attacked a random player and BOOM, free donuts! I haven’t tried it on my other device yet but maybe I stumbled onto something 🙂

It could be my end, because Sprints network is boo boo, but this update gave me the spinning donut of death! I know I’m being destroyed as I type lol Darn you EA and your nerds of mass destruction!

After the update a message poped up in my game saying something along the lines of “thanks for being one of the first players to try clash of clones, here’s 15 free donuts” and sure enough my donut total had gone up. I really should have taken a screen shot…

Since the update, I keep getting the “cannot connect” screen … Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

I realize this may be beyond the intent of the event overall, but I’d like to see CBG or Moe (or even Carl since he is Nordic) to get a new skin and have concurrent missions so that the characters can earn some potion/gold and add a little more depth to the event. (Just a hope/wish)
All the update has done for me is prevent from from being able to play the game. It was working and I got 15 free donuts, then after I attacked somebodys houses it comes up unable to connect to server.

I just got the 15 donuts that had been mentioned. It just popped up after I cleared all the attackers from my town 🙂
After this update I noticed that it does not confirm how many nerds you have when you tap the axe+sword icon to attack randoms, which I am glad for since its less taps in between.

After the update my cheater 20 is still not working to defend, others are also reporting the update has not worked for them on EA’s help site. Frustrating!! I wasted another cheater. I guess on the bright side I have a case open so maybe I’ll get them back!!

Even after the update I tried to defend my town with the cheater and didn´t complete the task, it didn´t work for me 🙁

Me too! A good thing too since I have spent 30+ donuts so far on this event…
I’m not sure if it’s covered in one of the other posts but do the event specific premium items increase the payouts of gold and elixir?
I only see them increasing the usual bonus percentage. The character Level ups increase payouts. Post coming with more details on that soon.
Didn’t work for me 🙁 haven’t got any left now. Will try again when I get another 20 cheater

It made my android town crash a lot more, lol. (iOS seems fine)
After the update the 20 sided die worked to defend my town and I was able to complete the task! No doughnuts yet though:(

Only noticed something minor, that the 5 event costumes are now part of the Clash of Clones character collection.

Its left a new glitch for me as its now next to impossible to place anything in my town without it freezing for up to 30 seconds once I press the tick to place the item
Hmmm…might be more a memory issue. I know this update is huge so it could just be running slower on your device. It doesn’t crash correct? Just freezes?
