Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
With this new update we’ve been transported back in time and Springfield has gone Medieval on us! Either that or we’ve been transported into another game all together! In either case…new event means new questline. New questline means time for another Turbo Tappin’ Walkthrough!
This questline has a lot of twists and turns in it and is really a fun one to read. So make sure you read it all while playing, otherwise you’ll miss out on a lot of fun! (We will, however, have a full dialogue questline up towards the end of the event, just in case you missed anything)
In addition to interesting dialog, the main questline branches off in several places. What I’ve done for this first part is run through everything you’ll need to complete the main questline, Prince and the Premise. This includes the questlines Clash of the Clones and The Power of Upgrades because those questlines will stop progress on Prince and the Premise until they’re complete (you’ll see what I mean below). The other “side quests” we’ll cover in another post (those are quests for the Cheaters, Castle Recycle, Boxingham Palace & other prizes).

Upgrade Barbarian Castle to Level 10- This will cost Elixir. To Reach Level 10 you’ll need 10,250 total Elixir. This will take away from your total Elixir.
Upgrade Castle Recycle to Level 8- This will cost Elixir. To Reach Level 8 you’ll need 5,850 total Elixir. This will take away from your total Elixir.
Upgrade Boxingham Palace to Level 7- This will cost Elixir. To Reach Level 7 you’ll need 4,250 total Elixir. This will take away from your total Elixir
*so to upgrade ALL 3 castles for this quest you’ll need 20,350 Elixir.
Upgrade Archer Lisa to Level 7- 7,150 Gold is required for Lisa to Reach Level 7. Remember this will not take away from your Gold total.
Upgrade Goblin Bart to Level 5- 6,300 Gold is required for Bart to Reach Level 5. Remember this will not take away from your Gold total.
Upgrade Wizard Marge to Level 3- 7,500 Gold is required for Marge to Reach Level 3. Remember this will not take away from your Gold total.

And with that…the main questline is complete! Whew! What an update! Lots of twists and turns, and spin offs!
Now, there are a few side quests that will pop up as you go through the update. (castle upgrades) We’ll cover them in a separate post.

Hi, all! Great job with helping us make sense of all this! This may be a silly question, but for the “Splinter is Coming: Repair a building” task… Do I just have to let the buildings be completely destroyed? It seems that all my friends are only sending 1 nerd to attack each building, so do I theoretically have to wait 12 hrs before I can repair 3 buildings and move on past this part? Thanks for your help! 🙂

Still really confused on what the red dice thing does. How does it protect my building?
Basically, you use it around a cluster of buildings that need to be defended and it fixes the group.

Anyone else getting a lot of disconnects after the latest update. It’s been pretty consistent for me so far.
Update triggered the 15 free donuts and EVERYONE is trying to get in at once. Give it a bit to come back online and the traffic on the server to slow down.
Do your total coins still accumulate for the personal prizes even if you use them to update Barbarian Homer?
They sure do. The character level ups are kind of like the prizes. It’s an amount you have to attain rather than a purchase price.
Just an observation, it’s quite ironic that a fair bit of people are getting so easily confused and even angry about this update. Perhaps a bit , oh idk, barbaric? Lol.

Do i use the cheater on houses only or can i use it on my castle? I used two cheaters since the update and both on my castle but it still isnt finishing the mission. Did i do it wrong?
You can use them in YOUR town anytime you see a Shield over the building or it is destroyed. You need to make sure first of all you have hit 800 Gold and unlocked the 5 pack of them too. Have you done that?
What is the shield on the right side of the Castle Summary for?

I’m at Extreme Castle Makeover Part 3 and I’ve got the task to place Mediaeval Objects but they all cost doughnuts. Are there none we can just buy? I’ve got lots of money but not doughnuts.
Look in your inventory for walls or towers. There are also objects you can buy for elixir so you can save your sprinklies.
I am also having this same problem. The walls and towers that were in my inventory were placed so my counter now shows 6/10 of the decorations needed. However, in my build menu all of the walls and towers and such are all locked even though I have about 1900 elixir and over 2000 gold. What am I doing wrong?
They won’t unlock until your castle reaches Level 10. Until then you’ll earn them when you level up and they’ll be placed in your inventory 🙂

Not too sure what I think about this update. For one there is no benefit to visiting your friends town, because it pays more to visit a strangers. And since it’s running till Oct 7 I do not see EA releasing a lengthy Halloween update right after a 40+ day event. And they are definatelly pushing the use of doughnuts more with this event. Feeling kinda disappointed.
I’m stuck on the “Rolling with it” mission I have spent most of my 20 cheaters on trying to do it, I have one left and I wait until I have attacks in my town and use one and it doesn’t register , I’ve completed the one above it doing it to someone else’s but it won’t work in mine 🙁 help

Since my mission wont complete with the defend with a cheater in your town does this mean i cant get the castle for lisa and bart? Ive unlocked it with the gold but cant with the missions. ;(

No the cheaters questline (Roll with it) is completely separate from the other questline. It will not stall your progress.
Is there anything stopping you setting up ‘x’ amount of Springfields doing all the initial stuff and building the castles and some houses then adding them as friends and just using them as farms ( for your main game) for gold and elixir by letting all buildings get destroyed. If you had the time you could get everything in a week maybe? ( possibly a day if you set up a sh*t load) .

I think my game is caught in a catch twenty two. I have been stuck on “extreme castle makeover pt. 3” since day one or two because I can’t place medieval decorations because I can’t place any of the following (castle wall, castle tower, castle gates, cardboard wall, cardboard tower, cardboard gates, recycled wall, recycled tower, recycled gates). In my store they all say to upgrade my castle however my castle is at level 7! What level at which does our castle walls and tower unlock or is this another glitch? Thanks!
Level 10 will unlock them…but if you’ve upgraded you should have the walls in your inventory. You earn them when you level up 🙂
You can buy a hay cart and/or a stockade for elixir both of which count as medieval decorations.
How do I view my Personal Prizes progress? I’m sure I could see it when the event first started but now I can’t seem to find it. It would just be nice to be able to view my progess.

See the tower icon in the bottom right? Click on that. From there click on the trophy in the bottom right as well. That will show you. Working on a post for this right now 🙂

It adds to the amount of Elixr they earn. More details on Level Ups coming soon. 😉
this should keep folks busy for a long while. that’s a lot of 12-24 hr tasks all strung together. assuming you can start each task ASAP and not rushing anything, it will take 200 hours to complete. this takes into account having to finish clash of clones and power of upgrades before continuing.
i did assume that you would not have to wait for bart and lisa’s castles to build nor have to wait at the parts of the quest where you have to upgrade castles and characters. it seems most folks will have them built/upgraded well before the part of the quest comes up. if not then add another day or 2 to this estimate.
but WOW 8+ of questline to finish, now that’s an event…..

Ok 1st of all I am loving this new update. Took me awhile to figure things out and my daughter to explain some things to me but I have a good idea of what to do now.

The Cheater dice.
I notice that when you use these it destroys the persons property. I’m kind of scared to use them on my neighbors because I don’t want them to get mad and drop me as a friend because I used them. I don’t know if it affects their conform o meters or not. Any others bfeel this way? I hope I’m not the only one with this concern.
By the way I don’t care if you use them in my town. Come on by and use them a ytime. He he.

Does the NPC “Other Springfield” defend their buildings?
Just thinking that if it doesn’t it would be a really good source for elixirs/gold.
I don’t think so…
I think that’s why those buildings take longer to “attack”.
that and the higher castle level the longer the attack takes…so it could just be that they’re all at Level 20
I’ve no idea what I’m doing but I’m winning things and completing tasks so that’s what counts.

I’m not far into this one but some of the early things are happening at different intervals for me than what is listed here. For instance….
I currently have Homer Barbarian pretending to be a sitcom dad. At the same time, I have Castle Recycle building and have upgraded Barbarian Homer to level 2 and sent him on an Elixir bender. It seems that some of these may not run as linear as they did for you.
I’m enjoying the update but it is causing me to play the game A LOT more often than before. Not sure my boss enjoys it as much as I do 🙂
What will happen is….
After you’ve completed part 9 Castle Recycle will start (side quest, not required to progress in the main questline)
Clash of Clones and Prince and the premise will run side by side until part 11…when you can’t move to part 12 until Clash of Clones is complete. (changing the wording now as I realize it can be confusing)
Basically Prince and the Premise will stall after part 11 until Clash of Clones is complete (same thing will happen towards the end with The Power of Upgrades)
So is every upgrade of homer/Lisa/etc gold cost “free” ?
Yes. Just have to earn the gold…but don’t have to spend it.
It’s confusing because they are using the term “gold” which makes you think of money.
Think of the gold as XP instead. You simply have to have a certain amount of XP in order to do certain upgrades. It makes more sense when you think of it that way.
What do the upgrades to barbarian homer actualy do/give you?
Just increases the amount of elixir he earns per task
