We’ve got ourselves a little Stonecutters Black Market Sale Update.
While the dialogue included is pretty amusing…the content is massively lacking. Especially for those Tappers who have been playing for a while. But nevertheless…it’s still a great opportunity for new Tappers to pick up Stonecutter items they may have missed out on last summer.

But this event ends in a week. So what does this mean for Valentine’s Day? Could EA be closing that door shut? Hard to say at this point. Valentine’s Day is still just over a week away & their competition (TinyCo/Family Guy) is gearing up for a massive Valentine’s Day update. So I’d find it hard to believe they’re just going to throw it aside…but we shall see….
When you log into your game you’ll see some dialogue between Homer, Number 1 and Lisa:
Homer: I can’t believe Seattle blew that touchdown last Sunday. I had twenty bucks on that game! Who goes for a pass on 2nd and goal!?
Number 1: *singing* We do, we do!
Homer: I knew it. It’s always a conspiracy when i lose money!
Lisa: Number 1?! Are you saying the Stonecutters Control the team?
Number 1: No, we control all televised football. Do you like number 49’s halftime show?
Lisa: But the crazy internet rumors said she’s in the illuminati, not the Stonecutters
Number 1: We control them too.
Now if you played through the Stonecutters Event and had success, you won’t see much in your store. I have all the items and I only have the All Seeing Eye in my store as well as the hieroglyphic walls. Others might have more.
This will be broken up into three “waves” as EA is calling them. The final end date is February 12th. Here’s the breakdown for the other “waves”:
Wave 1 Ends- February 7th (Saturday) 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Wave 2 Ends- February 9th (Monday) 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Wave 3 Ends- February 11th (Wednesday) 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Again the Event itself ends February 12th (Thursday) 0800 GMT (3am EST)

Stone of Triumph- 75 Donuts Previously a Free Prize. Homer has a task with it. More details on it here.
Abandoned Store- 30 Donuts. Was previously Premium. Should I Buy on it here.
Number 36- FREE. Was free last time, yes get this one. Will come with a short 1 part quest. Same quest as previously, more here.
Number 12- 50 Donuts. Requires the Stonecutter Lodge, which is 140 Donuts.
Number 14- 50 Donuts. Requires the Stonecutter Lodge, which is 140 Donuts.
Number 67- 40 Donuts. Requires the Stonecutter Lodge, which is 140 Donuts. Also requires Arnie Pye in your game.
The following items will be in your game for the next 7 days. They’ll leave when the event ends on 2/12/15 0800 GMT (3am EST)
Stonecutter Lodge and Number 1- 140 Donuts. Required for several of the Stonecutter Skins.
Stonecutter Daycare Center- $250,000. Previously for cash. More details here.
All Seeing Eye- 100 Donuts. Previously Premium, Should I Buy here.
Stonecutter Table- 120 Donuts. Was previously free. Did initially have a free donut Easter Egg with it, not sure if it will work this time around but details are here.
Hieroglyph Wall- $500. Previously in game cash. More details here.
Number 51- 100 Donuts. Previously Premium. Should I buy here
That’s it for this round my friends…but more should be hitting our games soon. Once we know what else is being added we’ll update you on what’s available and for how long.
I will say that it does look like they will be bringing back ALL of the Stonecutter skins for the characters, and each one will cost donuts. BUT it does look like we will be getting 2 more for free (from what I can tell it’ll be Skinner & Brockman that will be free).
Remember Stonecutters was an Event that took place in June of 2014. We’ve got a whole section of our site dedicated to posts about the event, so if you’d like to know more we encourage you to check it out here.
I know it’s a bit disappointing if you’re an older player, or maybe even if you’re a newer player, but it does give players who missed out on items a chance to pick them out. I am a fan of EA bringing back older items for newer players to get, BUT I do think they could have thrown older players a bone at least. Maybe given us something new? New Tasks for Number 1, something. But let’s all be patient and hope that it’s just a case of the next update being delayed and it’ll hit soon….

Does it mean that when the first wave will end, the stuff that are now available will no longer be for sale? What does entails with this waves? Im sorry for You “old” players but for me, newbie this is very nice. I hate it when in games there is no opportunity to have the older content. It might be frustrating for You that already have it, but might be frustrating also for us (new players) when there is no chance to ever have it.
When the first wave expires those items under Wave 1 will leave the game. That’s also what the running timer under it indicates. That shows when that item will leave the game 🙂

I saw the download, set down my phone to update, and immediately logged on here to get the low down. I was so excited for Valentine’s Day…I’m a little bummed now. 🙁 But, hey, having you guys here softens the blow.

I was considering the Stonecutter Lodge as my first donut purchase, but from others’ comments, I think I’m going to stick with my original plan of saving up for Duff Brewery and the Volcano Lair.

I was hoping that this was the Valentine Event but at least I got some more jobs for Krusty to do. Though I do wished EA put a couple of more freemium stuff in the store. Also has a player that started in the Halloween Event, I’m glad I at least get one thing from a past event. 🙂
I’m more so looking forward to their President’s Day event (assuming they have one). I can finally afford Abraham Lincoln so I’m hoping they make him available again.
I would like a Prez Day event too. I started playing during Stonecutters. I didnt get all the stuff, but don’t really care about it either. That seems very pricey for the table – is there anything else worthwhile about it? Does it only impact your CoM rating? This just seems like a huge money grab on EA’s part. 😳
Bummer. I really wanted the Valentines Day to return. I was hoping for Brandine and the cherub topiary. Maybe we’ll get a chance on the 14th. I’ll forgive EA if we see Little Vicki Valentine too.
I played thru this update so there is not much for me here. I am happy for others who missed out to get their chance at the cool stuff. I wonder if all 3 waves will be Stonecutters or if there will be other events available. I would love another crack at those Easter boxes (as long as the mother pheasant plucking fences are out of them).
Seems to me this is TSTO’s version of “The Best of 2014” from Quest for Stuff.
Not the first time they’ve done it. It makes sense because Stonecutters is an event they can’t really do again.

Im assuming that the next sale might be CoC junk, then valentines day sales. Last v day was my first event. I remember a LOT of people hated it and maybe they remember.

so i know it’s not valentines day like we were all hoping, but this update made most of the stonecutters jobs have premium payouts. that’s a pretty huge bonus for those who have all the costumes from doing the event last year.
Well I’m unbelievably disappointed by this XD been waiting all week in excitement to have the opportunity to buy more hieroglyph walls?! Urgh back to being bored 🙁 seriously hope they can bring something else in before the 7 days is up as I fully agree with Alissa that maybe I could’ve coped with this for the weekend.
Pushing me ever closer to letting this game go.
I’m hoping this is just a delay in the V-Day stuff and they pushed this because it was ready.
Stonecutters was my first event… Due to being s new player, I never finished it… I bought the Daycare just now, but I’m not spending donuts on this stuff… Nothing here is really worth the donuts they’re asking…
I missed the Stonecutters event but can’t say I’m tempted by any of this lot – not even the freemium stuff
I am thrilled to see the Stonecutters return. I began playing at the beginning of last year’s event, so didn’t have enough levels to get very far.
I was super excited to get the daycare that I missed when I first started, but certainly not in valentines stead??
The daycare is just a building right? Quite expensive at 250k for just a building.. (Not having top much cash on hand)
Just a building. It’s on par with what the base price of a lot of TSTO buildings are. It’s a good buy if you only want freemium Stonecutters stuff 🙂
This seems VERY similar to Family Guy QFS’ recent sales on stuff and characters from previous events………….maybe they just copy each other.
Well Tapped Out have done sales of old content before QFS even came out.
As a newer player, I found this update really disappointing. I have no interest in the Stonecutters stuff, and I love V-Day more than is reasonable.
For what is worth I missed the initial stone cutters event. With black market you can also buy Krusty stonecutter outfit for free. So far only one quest attached (have some characters on lengthy quests) but looking to see if there is a full stonecutter event here or if it’s just “buy all this stuff no event”
It’s a just buy this stuff. The tasks that come with it are the 1 part tasks that came with the initial quests when you unlocked the costume.
I’m also fairly new, I started in September 2014 as well. I was very happy about this. That episode is one of my all time favorites of the show, and I bought the lodge immediately.
I could totally see that! I’ve already purchased the Stone Cutter building and some fencing, claimed my Krusty skin…and now I’m bored. I’m a freemium player and so probably won’t be saving to purchase and of the items with my precious donuts!
I was really looking forward to a new event 🙁

Stonecutter Lodge + Number 1 for 140 donuts??? Is it worth it??? New Tapper here, on level 46 and have been mostly a freemium player with 106 donuts. The only premium character I have is the squeaky voiced teen. No idea if I should spend my donuts for this.
That being said, have they brought past quest lines back? Are they looking to replay different quests (other than halloween, obviously).
In my opinion, no. But that’s me and I already got it for free. It’s something that A LOT of players wanted…and it may be something you want to add.
Questlines…minor ones. Just short 1 part quests for characters.
Im happy to be able to get the daycare now, I couldn’t afford the $250k when the event went on. Here’s to hoping L50 will unlock Maggie, which would make sense for them to bring back the daycare option for everyone again. Was looking forward to my first V-Day, though. I hope they still do something for it. I need some pink in my town.
If I’d missed it last year I’d love this, but it looks like nothing for me here. Nice chance for newcomers to get stuff from a classic episode.

So happy to see downloading update screen, thinking the Valentines Day event had hit, only to have my hopes crushed.

Already got most of that stuff.. Sucks indeed for the older players but I’m happy for the newer ones!
In my little list of items, most stuff had 6 days and change, but the abandoned store was only 1 day and change so… maybe there is hope for V-Day still? Oh Tapped Out, I’ll never understand your mysterious ways.
It may have been lazy, but as a fairly new tapper (since September 2014), I was excited to see some items that I’ve seen in my neighbors towns available to purchase! Hopefully, they don’t cut Valentine’s Day out of the picture entirely!
Don’t get me wrong, i’m glad new Tappers get a chance. Since it’s probably an event they won’t bring back. Just throw older players a bone. A week for this sale is going to be rough. If it was just for the weekend it’d be one thing..
I completely agree. At least come up with one or two “yard sale” items for the older players.
Having other characters that did not have a SC skin would have been nice for the players that have all or most of them already from the original event.
For example:
