So something new rolled out this morning in our pocket-sized Springfields….4x payout on all Springfield Heights currency!
What does this mean? How does it work? Let’s take a look…
4x Rewards are only available until October 4th…
When you log into your game today you’ll see (or you already saw) this conversation popup:
And then the message above about Springfield Heights paying out FOUR TIMES the normal rate. So what does it mean?
Well it means that whatever the payout for anything that awarded Springfield Heights currency it’s now multiplied by FOUR…
For your Buildings (Furniture Shop, Coffee, Pharmaceuticals, etc..)…they’re all now paying out FOUR for Freemium and EIGHT for Premium (instead of 1 and 2).
For the Googolplex…it’s now paying out TWENTY for all movies, instead of 5. And as an added bonus, right now all movies are FREE to play! It appears that the free option on the Googolplex has been patched. This means you don’t need to spend in-game cash to earn the currency. Basically, EVERYONE that has the Googolplex should be utilizing it over the next few days to earn as much currency as they can! And remember, using the Googolplex is the only way you can add over your storage capacity of currency…in other words. Use the heck out of it!
Also mini games that pay our SH Currency, like the Insanity game or the Sci-Fighter game..are now paying out FOUR times the regular reward you may earn!
Basically this is a fantastic way to stock up on SH currency, max out those hideaways…and maybe finish SH if you haven’t already done so..
(oh and for those stuck on 2 billion Real Estate…that appears to be the max amount of Real Estate points you can earn, which is why you won’t see it increase)

Long time reader but I don’t post much here.
This morning (British time) the 4x rewards stop working for me. So I only get 7 rather than 28 🙁 I hope EA will give us an extra day as today is the 3rd not the 4th.
This has been a great help; I’ve gone from 250mil to 1 Billion during this 4x boost! Is there any reason to continue past this? I’ve seen several people comment on going for 2, but is that just for fun(I use that word VERY loosely)?
Thanks to the 4x payout, I was finally able to reach the one billion and unlock Paris Texas. 😃
Does anyone know if the Googolplex is still available to buy? I can’t find it in the store… Am I out of luck??

I really tried with the increase on resources..that being said I hated SH update. I will not hit billionaire status BUT….my area will look much better when it’s done and I have those pesky tasks done. All in all its a win. I’m satisfied with it.
Soooo, does this mean there is finally going to be a new expansion to SH?? That would be Awesome!! I’m now at Max Cap on all materials. And even tho I’m content with 4th place on the leaderboard I’m hoping there will be more come!?
Or possibly there is something awaiting Springfielders on the other side of SH Mountains?? Hmmmmm….

This four times multiplier event has been fantastic! In three days, I’ve gone from 500MM to a billion! Really glad as it was a thorn in my side seeing it and not completing it. It was painful going, but glad it’s done.
What is the exact time this ends on the 4th based on US central time? Please and thank you
I believe it ends at the same time the timers in your game end…(the ones in the store)

So my payouts for SH reverted back to normal after the Texan dialogue kicked off about reaching 1Billion. Is anyone else reporting the same thing? I’m really bummed because mine ended a day early.

It’s ended here in Australia at 8pm on October 3rd. And that’s GMT +10. I don’t understand the timing of this as that’s a good many hours before it’s even close to October 4 in the States. Very puzzling….

It has inexplicably ended in my Springfield!! I was logged out. Logged back in (after midnight PST) and it was over!!!

Does anyone know how to level up your Springfield heights to 2bill after you’ve already upgraded everything?

This has finally given me the impetus to purchase all of the land in Springfield Heights. I also upgraded all of the buildings I have, so I don’t see those stupid upgrade icons over them. I’m just disappointed we can’t downgrade the Private Island.
i.e. the look of it? Just tap it and you’ll be able to toggle between different looks
Ah, I forgot you couldn’t do that until it hit max level. It didn’t work before I did the final upgrade, but it works now. Thanks!
You can use any of the private island skins once you reach level 5, just like with the garages and office buildings. I just maxed out my two private islands this weekend, so I wouldn’t see the bobbing icons anymore, but then set them back, one to level 3 and one to level 2.
Its all great but i cannot build any new buildings like parking lot or classic mansion.
Y m still pay for films? I thought it was free right now
Re-read what the post says. There’s an update to it that says they released a patch and the films are no longer free…

Woohoo! Best event ever! I’m at $1.476B now, the Beach Hideaways were a bit costly, but upgrading them gives MILLIONS, instead of the stupid Exclusive Resorts that need endless resources and award just a few hundred thousands.
I read in another post there’s hidden bonus multipliers for SH buildings, and that they require you to have all building extensions out of your inventory. I have a question about that, if anyone cares to answer: – when I put all my building extensions for max level buildings on my land, my bonus multiplier (according to my confrom-o-meter) does not change, is that the true meaning of the “hidden” multiplier, or does “hidden” relate to the fact the tooltip does not show the multiplier when you buy/build it? If it’s the former, is there an easy way to track your current multiplier including SH buildings?
I’m asking because at the moment I want the max amount of cash and xp I can get, I will worry about how stuff looks later on.
The hidden bonuses do NOT require you to have the accessories out to receive the hidden bonus. However, you won’t see the hidden bonus on your conform-o-meter because..we’ll as the name suggests..it’s hidden.
With the Hideaways, and the hideaways ONLY…you need ALL of the accessories out to receive the bonus. However, that is NOT a hidden bonus. That’s a standard cash and xp bonus.

OK, so I really, truly hope that this means something… As a person who had already reached 1 billion … I hope this means we will have new prizes to work towards? More land? Something will come of this in SH? Otherwise..whats the point?

lol i honestly think it’s for all those who complain “THE GAME DIDN’T TELL ME IT WAS ENDING!!!!”…so now we get a really annoying popup A LOT. Thankfully it should end Tuesday
So excited for this bump in payout!! Haven’t done much since I hit 500 million, just couldn’t get into it and felt like it was taking forever! I should hit 1 billion by tomorrow and I’m so excited!! I have had a spot set aside for billionaire haven for so long and so happy to finally have it! lol good luck to everyone else!!!

It was playing movies for free, but there was a patch which fixed the glitch. And it now costs money again. 😕

I don’t think so, (I hope not) I think they may have just done this to help players work towards getting Billionaire haven etc faster, Because it takes so long grinding the items. I think if there was going to be a SH update, they would make the higher payout a permanent change rather than only a few days.
Wow took forever to get to 500m and almost to a billion finally! Thank you for mentioning Googoplex!!! That has the biggest payout by far (plus if you want to pay donuts it’s 2 donuts for 20 currency – I’d been paying 4 donuts to speed up coyote to get pills). I didn’t have it in my Springfield heights so I completely forgot.

No, at the 4 times rate, you should be getting 28. 7 times 4 equals 28.
28 is the correct amount. Normally you only get 7 for every round.

Noo.. If you have SVT you should be getting 28 coffee for each full round, not 4X28. The original payout was 7 coffee for each full round, times that by 4 and you get 28…
Regular payout is 7 if you have all characters including the premium. If you have all characters including the premium, right now you’ll get 28 instead of 7.
I love this! It took me forever to get to $500M for the penultimate Heights prize, and reaching the Billionaire Haven seemed futile. After just a day of not-intense playing, I’m already at $900-something million. This is a tremendous opportunity, and I’m taking advantage of it!

After the first week SH came out I got to 500 million quickly then stopped when the time to benefit ratio tanked. I sat there until yesterday when I did the last 500 million in less than a day. I knew if I waited long enough they would make it suck less.
I’ve got around 350 million on Heights, not something I’ve spent too much time on. What’s the easiest way to rack up currency for it? I assume simply uograding all the buildings, but is there a certain way to do it faster? I’d like to take advantage of this 4x while I can.
I’ve had good luck continually upgrading buildings (condos, mansions, parking, and office parks — just not the resorts) and tossing them in storage once they’ve reached Level 5. Some of those buildings really provide some huge real estate value returns when you upgrade each level. I’m not focusing on picking up extra land spaces yet since there’s no added value when you buy them.
