Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Some exciting news…
We’ve been working behind the scenes for the last couple of weeks to get on track with a new program EA has launched in conjunction with bloggers and TSTO community leaders (ie ourselves, the forums etc). With this program, EA plans to give those community leaders a sneak peek at event content and info so that we can share some of the details with you!
We’re thrilled to be working with EA anyway we can to bring you guys as much info as possible!
We’re all under NDA, so please bear with us as we can’t share EVERYTHING we know until EA tells us we can (which is usually how we operate anyway). But they have given us the green light to release some basic info about the next event.
So no more guessing, we now know WHEN the next event will start and WHAT the next event will cover! Pretty exciting stuff huh?
So I know there are a bunch of you who like to remain spoiler free (and this, to me, will not violate our spoiler-free policy as this is information provided to us directly from EA. They’re giving us the go-ahead to share…) I’ll post the WHAT below the fold. However, I will say the next event will start (as we predicted earlier this week) on Wednesday, May 30th.

While we can’t give away too much of the what with this event, we can tell you the next event will be focused around…..
ITCHY AND SCRATCHY LAND!
We can also tell you that it will have an auto start prompt, so no worries about keeping anyone free to get the event going. (but we don’t know who will be needed for tasks, so don’t put any of the major characters on long tasks that day…)
There are loads of ideas to choose from for this event just from the episode alone…
And that’s pretty much all I can tell you for now. But based on what I can’t tell you…some awesome stuff coming. BE PUMPED! I know I am.
So be ready, Wednesday, May 30th for a summer vacation trip of a lifetime to Itchy and Scratchy Land! We’ll be ready for it, will you?

Congratulations! That’s awesome that EA has chosen to share information in advance, and that this site was one of the chosen few. That shows how highly they value your contributions to the TSTO community. Thank you for the preview and everything you all do every day.

1. I’ve always wondered about the game files you are always talking about. Now I know they are sent to you and not something I can find on the Internet (I’ve tried).
2. Looks like it might be too big for Krustyland, which I visit twice a day so I can get 5 free donuts every 50 days. I hope it’s easier to accumulate land for this and that the items aren’t over sized. I’m maxed out on land.
3. I’ve been wanting more land on the other side of the mountains, hoping to expand Springfield Heights. Perhaps this land will open up and be used for Itchy and Scratchy Land. This will probably mean another entrance tunnel and figuring out where to put it since my Springfield side of the mountain is already designed with items. Rearranging might need to be in order.
1. It’s a new thing, just started with EA. Files we’ve had access to for years. Those are not sent to us, they’re accessed when the game is updated itself.
As someone who used the various international travel events to build a kind of version of Epcot in his Springfield, I’m excited for ANY theme park update.
Ok but its gonna get in the way of my time in Rollbackville, Glitchopolis tho to be fair i never wanted to be here in the 1st place.
Itchy and Scratchy Land was an island in the show. I’m wondering if this will add new “island” land out to the left in the ocean. That would be cool. A separate area but without having to jump screens, like Heights.
I like where your head is at. Developing an island would be sweet.

I was disappointed when they released the Island of Dr. Moreau and it wasn’t anything you could develop or add characters to, seemed like a wasted opportunity for something Tappers really wanted.
I was thinking this too. Selfishly, I would like this as it would be appropriate to the show, but then I realized players have to move along in the game to even get Ocean space so that could prove problematic for lower level players.
I have not that much sea left to buy, and the sea i have is already kinda cramped. They would need to release quite some sea to make it working (so that we can design). But since they limited the available normal land already, a huge addition of sea seems not very likely to me. As from what i read here before, it seems also unlikely they start another ‘other land’ that soon will be forgotten by most of us. So i think there are 2 options, KL or SH. I hope it’s the first one, I&S land suits more there

Do we know if it will be attached to Krusty land or do we have to find a place for it in Springfield? I am very excited for this one. It still bothers me that the billboards don’t spray blood when tapped. 😁

Dude, I think EA’s learned their lesson. We haven’t see anything remotely K-Land like in 5 years. I think they realize it was a fail…
I think there was a lot of potential with Krusty Land. I am hoping this will be a lot of fun!!

Normally I view events somewhere between a distraction and a nuisance especially weeks of 4 hour cycles, but with Alissa and Brooders as hyped as they are I am rEAlly looking forward to this hitting our games

Let’s just put it this way. Some of your are going to be VERY happy. Some others are just going to be happy. And still others…will be elated! Take it from a crankyoldguy…this should be a crowd pleaser on a ton of levels!

Sounds exciting! But also sounds big, so I really hope we get a decent amount of new land, too (and also available for normal currency instead of rare tokens)…
I agree. The land token feature is a huge fail. They need to go back to having us pay in game cash for land tiles.
When FarmVille started different “lands” I stopped playing. When tapped out opened krustyland I stopped playing for a while. I play to make my town better and better, not to start a new game. If it’s like krustyland where you have to “travel” there, I guarantee it’s going to SUCK
I would think they’ve learned their lesson with K-Land. SH was not a travel screen, just an extension of the main game board. We haven’t seen a travel screen in 5 years, I think that’s proof enough that they’ve learned their lesson that people don’t go if they have to change screens…
I actually didn’t mind KrustyLand….. until it became apparent there wasn’t much a person could do in there. Need larger variety of available crossover decorations, such as fencing, walls, Event decorations etc… so we can customize it better. For example I was happy some Valentine’s stuff could be used & made a little lovers park around the Tunnel Of Love ride, benches, gazebos, etc…
Would’ve been nice if Halloween stuff was also useable for the Haunted Condo area. KL would have more appeal if they allowed more town & event stuff available there.
Speaking of event or special decorations, really wish we could sell some of it. I mean sending Cyclops, Trolls, Dragon, Tree, from the Harry Potter wizard parody event has great cash payout. $500 for 4 hour jobs, but the bonus decoration has gone beyond ridiculous. I have almost 600 of each all right there when I open storage! I also stopped digging at the dig site.
What I have longed for since the beginning , & still do is picnic tables!!! Parks need picnic tables!!!! Especially beach parks! The cute cafe tables would be good if there was one that didn’t have tile floors under it as well.
I am intrigued by this upcoming event. It would be cool if it is an ocean island type thing. Truthfully, I wouldn’t mind it being in Krusty Land, or its own land if they up the deco options, as my town is getting so crowded. Events had gotten too back to back over the years & made it difficult to have enough time to organise and redesign stuff to where it’s just stuff all over & not as cohesive. One half all landscaped, organised and beautiful. The other half clumps of event buildings and decorations. *Sigh*
Also not loving the fringe land thing either. Just let us use SF money to buy land!!!! And PLEASE… more Heights land, or let us store the buildings.
I hope Itchy and Scratchy land is akin to Krustyland (i.e., separated from the main town like Krustyland). Land in my town is at a premium now. I just don’t have very much room left. Aside from that- This next event sounds like it could be really new and interesting. I hope it’s as good as the hype. (fingers crossed).
That might get me to quit playing. I DETEST Krustyland. I haven’t been to mine in over 2 years. Just open more land and lots of it
I go to Krustyland about twice a day to play Sideshow You.
It’s not going to be like Krustyland, get the hint, more like heights on the same screen. I think they will just make more free land tiles available.
I’m usually very content with even the most mundane events as long as there’s plenty of new characters, but I&S Land sounds like a lot of fun.

Thank you Alissa. You’re getting me excited for an event for the first time in a while. The Christmas event was fun, but aside from that, there hasn’t been a lot to get excited about in quite some time.
