SPOILER ALERT!! Next Event Info

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Some exciting news…

We’ve been working behind the scenes for the last couple of weeks to get on track with a new program EA has launched in conjunction with bloggers and TSTO community leaders (ie ourselves, the forums etc).  With this program, EA plans to give those community leaders a sneak peek at event content and info so that we can share some of the details with you!

We’re thrilled to be working with EA anyway we can to bring you guys as much info as possible!

We’re all under NDA, so please bear with us as we can’t share EVERYTHING we know until EA tells us we can (which is usually how we operate anyway).  But they have given us the green light to release some basic info about the next event.

So no more guessing, we now know WHEN the next event will start and WHAT the next event will cover!  Pretty exciting stuff huh?

So I know there are a bunch of you who like to remain spoiler free (and this, to me, will not violate our spoiler-free policy as this is information provided to us directly from EA.  They’re giving us the go-ahead to share…) I’ll post the WHAT below the fold. However, I will say the next event will start (as we predicted earlier this week) on Wednesday, May 30th.

So be prepared on Wednesday, May 30th for the event launch

Now on with the spoilers…

WARNING SPOILERS BELOW

While we can’t give away too much of the what with this event, we can tell you the next event will be focused around…..

ITCHY AND SCRATCHY LAND!

We can also tell you that it will have an auto start prompt, so no worries about keeping anyone free to get the event going. (but we don’t know who will be needed for tasks, so don’t put any of the major characters on long tasks that day…)

There are loads of ideas to choose from for this event just from the episode alone…

And that’s pretty much all I can tell you for now. But based on what I can’t tell you…some awesome stuff coming.  BE PUMPED!  I know I am.

So be ready, Wednesday, May 30th for a summer vacation trip of a lifetime to Itchy and Scratchy Land!  We’ll be ready for it, will you?

Thoughts about the next event?  Pumped for what might be coming? What do you think we’ll see?  Will you be ready? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Surely with the clue “a brutal build on a failing park” is a big hint it will be in Krustyland?

    Brutal = Itchy and Scratchy
Failing Park – let’s be honest can only be Krustyland.

I don’t mind to be honest, I up there twice a day for my doughnuts, be nice to see something new in there.

  2. Yay!!! Congratulations on the new heightened relationship with EA! Having better access is always cool!

Wow! Super excited for the new event. It’s TSTO Christmas!!! 😆 5 more sleeps to go!!M 😊😁😁

    STOKED!

Cant wait gotta get my town back together quicker than I thought. The last update i thought would be longer so i blew up my town to make more space for the new content coming. That was a mistake lol always forget just how time it takes to put it all back together. Congrats the the partnership. Huge win for you and us all.

  5. Woohoo, searing gas pain land!

  6. To do this right, this needs to be an area semi-segwrated like Springfield Heights is……….but I’m afraid that if that’s the case it’ll box in other land.
I DO NOT want it to be a separate map like KristyLand (or attached to KrustyLand) but wouldt mind moving krustyland OnTo the main map.

  7. I see “Itchy & Scratchy Land” and somewhere in my brain it gets changed to “Krustyland”…

  8. If EA has no plans to expand Springfield Heights, my vote is to open up that space for the Itchy and Scratchy Land.

  9. Don’t care, roll back glitch has me wondering why I should even be playing. Hard to get hyped when the best option I have is to give up months of progress. How long will that last until I have to roll ack again. Had enough I think.

  10. Such a classic episode. I’m curious as to what we can expect. Boart? What is Boart? Perhaps we get itchy and scratchy characters as full playable characters? Bart and Homer abusing the mascots tasks?

  11. Congrats on the relationship with EA!

The event sounds fun! I don’t mind long events, and I kinda like the four hour grind. Whatever the event format, it’s fine by me. (I wonder if we will see vacation clothes skins for the family.)

  12. So pumped. And really glad I didn’t just spend all my sprinkles.

  13. Very cool.. I just hope they fix this lagging issue before the event cause in my game it starts out just fine but the more I play it starts to slow down more and more till it just so irritated I log out. And that’s why I haven’t been the best neighbor.. sorry guys .
But I just want to ask the big dogs… so are we to believe that instead of commenting to no avail that are heads turn blue, that maybe just maybe E.A might just hear what we’re screaming like go back to the Christmas event format, more outside tasks, and more importantly be more creative with more effort with the events, and more space.. etc?

  14. If this is based on the episode this could mean we have another area like Krustyland and its own currency which is not good anywhere even in the park. The horror!

  15. I remember getting Tavern on the Scream in Krustyland nearly 4 years ago thinking that this building would be suited more in an Itchy and Scratchy Land area than Krustyland since it came from Itchy and Scratchy Land. It also begs the question of whether Itchy and Scratchy Land would be a separate map (like Krustyland), an expansion (like Squidport and Springfield Heights) or just something for Springfield. I also feel that the update should bring: a major increase in the item limit (1000 or so), new land in both directions, more land tokens or land that can be bought with both tokens and cash, no 3 act structure (2 will be enough) and the event only lasting 4-5 weeks (no more 6-7 weeks events please EA).

  16. I’d like to see “Itchy & Scratchy Land” happen right in our current Springfield’s, without adding more land anywhere. EA can make all the properties snow-covered in winter; why not also change the look of everything slightly for the life of an event?
…but I’d also find room for T.G.I. McScratchy’s Goodtime Fooddrinkery!

I DON’T WANT IT TO BE IN KL.
Whew, I said it. I’m sorry, I’ve just never felt the pull of krustyland, it’s just so… Random. It doesn’t contribute to the rest of the game. I’m sorry. That said, if it’s in krustyland, so be it. I’ll still play.

  18. I would like it to fit within Krustyland, I have lots of room there, and I love my Krustyland! I hope it’s not excessively long though.

    • I’m with you. Fitting Itchy and Scratchy in next to Krustland would be easy design wise, fitting another theme park into my main town will be hard. I don’t get why people have such hatred for KL.

  19. Should I start saving up my tickets for land now???

  20. Justin Henriks

It is great that EA is working with TSTO now Alissa, that is a BIG step in the right direction for their public relations as they try to manage ‘the glitch’. It will be so good to know exactly when events start as now I know I have more time to prepare (preparing space/land and income). And yes I too am excited about I&S Land… very excited! Whilst we can all have different opinions about the event we can surely agree that this new communication from EA will be a positive. Getting ready to tap some ‘killer robots’?!

  21. I’m hoping it will be in KrustyLand, too, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up for that. Either way, I think I’m going to love this event. I’m finally getting close to having enough donuts to buy Barney, and figured I wouldn’t care about the next event, but I think I’ll need them for this event.

  22. I hope this stuff can be put in Krustyland. I liked the idea of Krustyland and if there was more things to do there, especially donut incentives, I would go there.

Alissa, I hope EA is giving you guys some good payment for this. You all deserve it. Although, I bet you would forgo payment for Sarah Wiggum in the game 🙂

And I hope it gives you some more clout with EA so that you can share with them how disastrous the apology for the rollback glitch is and they can give you more info to share about what they are doing when things happen like that in the future so we don’t have to wait months to here via secondhand emails like this time.

Looking forward to what’s coming next!

  23. Its itchy and scratchy land holiday time. Finally its here. I m so happy to see what comes up. New stuff, yes! And a lot to laugh.
    Are we there now?
    Are we there now?
    Are we there now?

  24. Torture land, explosion land, unnecessary torture land, & searing gas pas pain land??? Hmm so this event will be 4 acts?!?! TBH I wouldn’t complain 💪💪💪

  25. IM BIASED!!! PUTTING THIS EVENT ON TOP ON MY TOP 5 EASY!!!!!

  26. Josephine Kick@$$

I love my KL & don’t mind traveling, I just wish inventory items could be placed in whatever place you want. If EA is giving us all of this cool new content, they need to raise the item limit. My game is already laggy, & I’d like to do more decorating. If they don’t, then we do need another “land”.

  27. Whether or not Addicts spoil upcoming events, I’m still happy EA doesn’t have in-game ads for TSTO. Aside from the content, being able to play without ads is what has kept me playing for years.

  28. Another amusement park just makes me think of the dusty forgotten Krustyland…but if this event manages to keep the BORT licence plates in stock maybe I’ll give it a shot.

  29. Good call on the theme park event. Tis the season for that and maybe we can make Krustyland relevant for something other than a reliable sync source.

    • Sync? Do you mean like going to visit friends so that your two devices are both updated?

  30. I really, really, really hope these things will be able to be placed in Krustyland when it is all said and done. I have lots of room there and lots of tickets. Come on EA…let us fix up our krustylands!!!
