Currency Confusion Act 3

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Popping in real quick with your friendly reminder of The Springfield Jobs Act 3 currency.  Some of you have gotten confused with this event for some reason on the currencies.  This event is just like every other event when it comes to currency.  There are 2 different types of currency….Prize Track and Currency.

Prize Track currency is for unlocking prizes in the Prize Track.  This changes for each Act.  So each Act the Prize Track Currency will change to something different.  (you can see each currency on the neighbor’s screen)

For Act 3 it’s Poker Chips…they look like this:

Crafting currency is for unlocking/buying craftable items at Plunderer Pete’s.  This remains the same for the entire event.  Crafting currency will NOT change from one Act to the next. And this is the very last Act of this event, so use it or lose it.  Crafting currency is Plunders….they look like this:

Oh and these guys… are also the same for the entire event.  And there’s no point in saving them up.  Use them when you get them since they only pay out Crafting Currency…

Remember, this is the very last Act in this event.  So use it all or lose it all…that goes for Masks too.

Hope that helps those of you having difficulty with this!  Remember it’s the same as every other event…

Currency Confusion Act 2

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Popping in real quick with a note about The Springfield Jobs Act 2 currency.  Some of you (ok many of you) are getting confused with this event for some reason on the currencies.

For Act 2 it’s Crown-Less Jewels…they look like this:

This will change when Act 3 starts.

Crafting currency is for unlocking/buying craftable items at Plunderer Pete’s.  This remains the same for the entire event.  Crafting currency will NOT change from one Act to the next.  So feel free to stockpile crafting currency once you’ve hit the 20% bonus on heists. In fact, many have been suggesting to do so.

Crafting currency is Plunders….they look like this:

So when people tell you to stockpile crafting currency, they’re referring to these: .

Remember, prize track currency changes for each Act.  So these  will go away when Act 3 starts and you’ll start with something else.  And crafting currency remains the same for the entire event.  So these  aren’t going anywhere until the event ends.

Oh and these guys… are also the same for the entire event.  And there’s no point in saving them up.  Use them when you get them since they only pay out Crafting Currency…

THOH 2015 101: Shop Keeper’s Daily Challenges

Note: Yes a few returning items hit the store today…however because they’re returning we’re not doing a new Should I Buy Post on them.  You can check out the older Should I Buy posts here or here for these returning items.  The only added benefit for them is the currency population now….

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well here we are, in most Tappers favorite time of the year in Springfield….Halloween!  (although I prefer Christmas 😉 )  The leaves on the tress have changed colors, the water is murky and there’s a darkness that falls over our TSTO screens.  All of these effects fit in perfectly with this year’s theme….Nightmares.

As we’ve seen with recent events (really since Stonecutters in June of 2014), EA likes to add an element of Daily Challenges to each Event as a way to earn more currency, special prizes and sometimes event bonuts! (bonus donuts)  The 2015 THOH Event is no different.  Yesterday we saw the Shop Keeper’s Challenge get implemented with the House of Evil!  This is a great way to do tasks each day to earn bonus crafting currency and earn bonuts each week!

Now I know some of you are a bit confused about the challenges and exactly what to do.  So let’s break it all down for you…including a list of this week’s challenges…ico_thoh2015_shopkeeperavatar Continue reading
